Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

No way, my son is also a december baby! This baby is due the day before his birthday hahahaha we will be very busy! Grin I’m not feeling bad, very very sore boobs with nausea here and there but that’s about it, have quit vaping cold turkey so think that’s effecting me the most more so than pregnancy symptoms! How’re you doing? xx

Congrats ladies! I found out this morning we are expecting baby #1. In a bit of shock but really excited for what’s to come. My boobs are currently on fire and occasionally feeling light headed. Can’t believe we will have a newborn at Christmas time ☺️🤞🏼

Ginger biscuits although they are vile helped when I felt sick with my first and also I had them travel sickness bands on which worked a dream 🤣 my first was so easy to hide as it was lockdown, I didn't tell a single person until 12 weeks and because I wasn't seeing people nobody saw my bands, I don't think I'll be that lucky to hide it this time 🙈

HariboFantastics · 24/03/2025 08:27

Hi all,

Tested twice over the weekend, got two BFP’s and currently 2-3 weeks so absolutely terrified but all fingers crossed.

This is my first pregnancy and I feel totally clueless. Is there some kind of app that I can track food I am eating and be able to see what I should be avoiding?

If there is anything in particular (not food/drink related) that I should be avoiding now, please let me know!

Oh I will, I just want to get over a week today, I had my chemical at 5 weeks last month so once that's over I feel I can relax a bit too, although I only tested twice so I might have known before hand if I'd have tested xx

Ooh congratulations babe. Look on NHS site that's all I followed last time. Was DEVOD about rare steak 🤣 xx

TwoNewMummas · 24/03/2025 09:52

Congratulations to you all! If it's okay I would like to join this thread, we got our BFP on Thursday last week after a second round of IUI. It was advised that we abandoned the cycle by our clinic but the satellite clinic who scanned us were convinced it was a follicle not a cyst as suggested by consultant and they were right! Had all the ovulation signs and a positive ovulation test so we went for it. Got scanned again the day after IUI and they saw corpus luteum 😍 Feel over the moon. Main symptoms right now are sore boobs and being unable to sleep past 3:30am - not ideal! Think my due date is v.early December. X

Congratulations! The NHS site like said is good for that, although if you’re into your rare steak, deli meats and soft cheese prepare to be guttered 🙈 They’re the main things that you wouldn’t really think of, everything else is pretty standard like alcohol, smoking etc.

Fish high in mercury aswell you have to limit, like your amount of Tuna per week. x

Thank you both, I did take a look at the NHS website. Thankfully not into rare steak and rarely eat fish so not too fussed about that 😂

The soft cheese hurts me though! I’ve already reduced my caffeine to one coffee in the morning and decaf for the rest of the day, I’ve switched Pepsi to caffeine free as I tend to drink 1 sometimes 2 glasses a day.

Ughhhhhh anybody ever had implantation bleeding? I've just had a tiny bit of so sorry if it's TMI pale pink when I wiped, wondering if it's just normal. Didn't have it with my first though. I know Google says it's normal, but I never believe anything 🙈

I did I think! Around 6-8 DPO, first appeared after doing the deed which was pink then for 2 days I had brown watery cm, really light, not enough for a pad ☺️
