I'm going to wait a couple of weeks to join as I've still got to wait for my dating scan.

Thank you @mangollama!
I tried the whatsapp but it won't let me share a link even after I added my husband. Sorry - technology is not my strength it seems.

Good luck with your nipt results those of you who are waiting.

Craving wise - I wish mine was for something healthy like veggies. Instead I just want the same meal - spaghetti with pesto and tuna. Or pies! Haha!

Melusina123 · 25/02/2025 19:10

@MangoLlama thanks! For some reason that link isn't working for me?

Melusina123 · 25/02/2025 19:19

@MangoLlama I think you need to do a special join link: https://m.facebook.com/help/162550990475119/?helpref=uf_share

That is a join link, it says I won’t be able to create a new one for 48 hours or until 20 people have clicked it.

What do you see when you try to open it? Can you not see the group at all or is it not letting you request to join?

Melusina123 · 25/02/2025 20:48

@MangoLlama weird, it just redirects to my Facebook homepage.

Has anyone else tried the link? Is it working?

AMMxx · 26/02/2025 05:36

The link works now! I’ve just managed to join.

thank you for sorting x

Melusina123 · 26/02/2025 06:15

It's working for me now too - weird! Have asked to join.

jjj2024 · 26/02/2025 09:29

hey everyone! just found this new thread and catching up. I'm 11 weeks today and we just had our NIPT scan. Everything looks good! Just the wait for the results now so will be checking my emails constantly...

MyGardenDaisies · 26/02/2025 12:01

Facebook link is taking me to homepage :/ can someone resend it please? I had a FB group with my first and it was so good!

Hello!
I am 11+5, nearly at the 2nd trimester !!!
I think I’m starting to show a bit too! 🥰

5 weeks and will find out what we are having 🙌 I found that it helped so much with bonding and picking a name. I love this baby already but it just gives a little bit extra info about them 🥰

Chellooo · 26/02/2025 14:14

I can't get on the FB page either, 😕 just bringing me to my homepage

Melusina123 · 26/02/2025 14:42

@MyGardenDaisies @Chellooo weirdly it was doing that for me yesterday, then today it just worked… maybe try again in a little bit?

We’ve started sharing the news about kid 2 with family & friends - last time we didn’t share with really anyone until after 20 weeks so starting at 12 weeks, while completely normal, feels very early to me!

Scarftown · 26/02/2025 15:15

Facebook not working for me either :)

thismotherhoodthing · 26/02/2025 17:46

Hi everyone. We got our NHS screening back today via the app. It says 1 in 5000 for Edwards and Patau and 1 in 2746 for DS. Obviously these seem like good odds although my last pregnancy was 1 in 50,000 so a big difference! Still waiting on NIPT to come back.

Unfortunately I deleted my Facebook so I can't join the group :-(

Melusina123 · 26/02/2025 18:06

@thismotherhoodthing very wise of you! I’ve flirted with deleting my facebook for years but it’s groups like my kid 1 baby group that stop me doing it - it’s such a nice little community. But posts on that are few and far between the updates on the lives of people i haven’t spoken to since high school...

Glad you had good news on the NHS screening, sounds like things are very low risk generally and I’m sure the NIPT will confirm that!

I’m not 100% positive so don’t quote me! But I think the criteria has changed so the odds seem much higher now.

Mol1820 · 26/02/2025 18:25

Thank you for setting up a new post! I hadn’t realised a new one had been set up! I would love to be part of a WhatsApp group if one is able to be made :) not sure how to get you my number while PMs are down…

I’m 9+2 today and verrrry tired all of the time! Had a few cramps here and there but as there’s no bleeding I’m trying not to worry too much about it!

thismotherhoodthing · 26/02/2025 18:27

@Melusina123 I reactivate it every so often to sell something on marketplace but then people from school start adding me so I always delete it again 🤣

Thank you, was quite surprised the NHS results came back faster than the NIPT!

thismotherhoodthing · 26/02/2025 18:28

@Lou98x yes that would make sense as I've heard a few people say that they changed it!

Mol1820 · 26/02/2025 18:43

Hey guys! I’ve set up a second WhatsApp group for those of us not in the first one :)
hopefully this link works: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KjYHQYJiVCT53DorZ6Yon0

(at the moment I’ve just added my sister but she’ll leave once there’s some other people in!) xx

I heard that the lowest odds are now 1 in 5000 for the combined screening.

For those who have had their NIPT results can you share what to expect? I should get the call or email tomorrow or Friday and I’m getting really nervous now.

Is there a typical low risk number you get? E.g. 1 in 5000. Is there a point at which it becomes bad? E.g. the 1 in 150 with the combined screening

Mol1820 · 26/02/2025 23:09

@thismotherhoodthing please do join the 2nd WhatsApp if you haven’t already! There’s a few of us on there😊

Might be different as I had mine done privately but it just said very low risk for each of the conditions. It doesn’t give a “one in X” number for some reason.
sorry that’s probably not very helpful !

Hi,

I have been reading along for a while. But first time posting.

10weeks as expected got HG like in my previous pregnancy, here is now 3, going onto my second prescriptions for anti sickness today so hoping I will be feeling better and able to contribute to the chat.

I will try and join the wattsap soon.
