Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

Hi everyone,

Got my first positive on Tuesday which was 15dpo, and then today I took a CB digital which gave me 2-3, so I’m tentatively joining here and have sent a request for the WhatsApp group.

I had such a huge feeling of happiness and excitement at first but anxiety is kicking in now and I’m worrying about some of my symptoms like getting mild cramps on and off as I keep thinking my period is coming! Every time I Google it says it could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy which is making me feel really scared, so I’m joining for a bit of reassurance here!

Any older Mums here? I'm 43 🫣, I have 2 DDs, 5 and 7 years old. We've been trying for the last 2-3 years. Had a miscarriage over 2 years ago, had all but given up discovered I was pregnant Aug last year, sadly another miscarriage. So I hadn't even gathered my thoughts really and here I am pregnant again!! This pregnancy does feel different to the last 2 so I am hopeful! Last chance saloon!! 3 time lucky? I really hope so.

Congratulations on the pregnancy, gut instinct is so powerful, im sure its a sticky one. Im 40 and just found out we're expecting baby #2, DD is 14 months. Are you joining the whatsapp group?

pumpkinpatches22 · 13/02/2025 18:45

@bramarcan wishing you a tentative congratulations! We must have very close due dates as I tested positive on 15dpo on Monday so hopefully we can help each other through this anxious time. I haven’t done a digital yet as I’m too scared although I tested at 15dpo and again at 17dpo and my tests have gotten darker so hoping that’s a good sign. I will test again on Saturday when I’m home from my holiday (I only packed 2 as was convinced it would be negative) and hoping to see a dye stealer and then I’ll probably stop and wait for my 7 week scan. From what I’ve read, cramps on and off is normal and even my auntie who is a nurse said “don’t worry if you feel period cramps” as when I told her. I haven’t had them but have had some twinges in my uterus/hips and back ache in the evenings which was worrying me but again have read it’s quite normal. I feel like I’m constantly symptom spotting, worrying that I’m not peeing as frequently as the day before or my boobs aren’t as sore or I’m not as nauseous. It’s only been 4 days and it feels like 4 months with all the worrying😂. I don’t think I’ll relax until my 7 week scan and just hope my symptoms keep progressing until then and I dont get any bleeding or terrible cramping in the meantime. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

sidsparrownew · 13/02/2025 19:32

@BloomingOrchidea Thank you and big congratultions to you!!! 2 under 3 is a brave move!! 😂 My two have about the same age gap and it was a whirlwind!! They'll be best of buddies! (most of the time) What's the whatsapp group? 😊

Figtree11 · 13/02/2025 19:37

Hi all, tentatively joining. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 18 months, but unfortunately no children yet. So I am feeling anxious. Due date would be 22nd October.
I have to ring the recurrent miscarriage clinic to book an early scan but am putting it off!

IVFlife · 13/02/2025 22:20

MrsRobo23 · 13/02/2025 13:47

Hello,
IVF pregnancy here, had 5d blast frozen transfer on 22nd Jan, have my 7 week viability scan next Friday (21st Feb)
Really hoping everything is looking good.

Only had minor cramps no other symptoms which I don't know is good or bad?! My boobs hurt and are huge but taking all the hormones for IVF did that anyway!

My first pregnancy aged 36 so it's all new to me.

Edited

Hey. Fellow ivfer here. I have my scan on Monday. I'll be 7+4 then. Am counting down the days which are just CRAWLING by

@Figtree11 Congratulations!! This will be the one!! I'm in the same boat as you. I have booked the scan but dreading it, I'd near rather not go, but what do you do?! The wait in limbo, the worry, it's pretty excruciating. My last two pregnancies my breasts were so tender, but that was my only symptom. This time, not so tender but I am really tired, a bit out breath at times, sore head and I feel slightly sick when I haven't eaten. So I'm taking comfort in those, but still, it's very early days. Good luck to you!!

bramarcan · 14/02/2025 06:50

@pumpkinpatches22 omg are you me?! Your message is sooooo reassuring to me as I keep thinking my boobs have got smaller or are less sore and that my cramps are my period - I thought TTC was the anxiety inducing part - I wasn’t prepared for me to be symptom spotting and worrying about what I am experiencing as well as the stuff I’m not!!! And yes I think we must be due around the same time.

also how weird, I’m also on holiday at the moment! I don’t think I’m going to do any more tests as I think it will make me more anxious if the line is fainter for example so just going to try and keep positive as much as possible and as long as I’m not feeling anything really terrible and there’s no period, I’m going to hope for the best!!

I honestly don’t know how I’m going to manage this first trimester - I feel exactly the same way in that these past few days have gone so slowly. I feel like I’m counting the days so that I can feel some reassurance that everything is going as it should be.

Thank you for telling me about what your auntie said too - again, very reassuring!

Figtree11 · 14/02/2025 07:21

@sidsparrownew congratulations to you too ☺️ Third time lucky for us. the scan anxiety is real, I’m trying to block it from my mind which is why I’ve been putting off ringing up I think. But I’m going to call today. How many weeks are you, and at how many weeks will your first scan be?
I might next week then arrange for my booking appointment - just keep thinking it will be the third time doing that too!

Hello all

Tentatively joining, got my BFP last week and am
now 5+5. My due date is 12th October, which happens to be my 44th birthday!(@sidsparrownew you were asking about any other older mums). This will be my second baby, first is 18 months.

Still very nervous as I had a MMC before my daughter, and a second one last summer. Both had some very light spotting around 5-6 weeks around where I am now, so hoping to get through the next week without anything, then I will feel a bit better! I managed to get progesterone from the GP so I don’t know if that will help.

Hope everyone is well, and looking forward to chatting with you. Will send a request to join the WhatsApp too.

CrazyIsLife · 14/02/2025 17:55

Hey everyone, huge congrats to you all.

Cautiously joining you, like many others here, I had a MMC in Oct at almost 11wks so very anxious this time round to get excited. I’ve had quite a bit of pain on one side for a few wks now and had a scan today to rule out ectopic. Glad to say, everything looked in the right place so have been scheduled to go back in 3 wks time.
DD is 19th Oct
Although still nervous, I’m taking the leap and joining this thread as it’s hard keeping it secret from everyone around me and I know so many of you know too well, what an anxious time this can be.

I’m looking forward to being part of the Oct 25 gang ❤️

Figtree11 · 14/02/2025 21:12

@CrazyIsLife that’s great that todays scan showed everything ok. I almost didn’t join the thread too, as I joined one last year and then had to leave after my MC. But I’ve no one else to talk to about it!
My due date would be 22/10. Hardly any symptoms at the moment so just don’t feel pregnant. Have my first scan at recurrent miscarriage clinic on 4th March

Kittypidgeon · 14/02/2025 23:22

Thought I'd join & say hi ❤️

I should be 6 weeks on Sunday with a guessed DD of Oct 15th

Would be my 1st as long as everything goes to plan 🤞🏻

Got my midwife appointment and scan all booked in for a few weeks time.

I keep routing everything as I'm just constantly feeling tired and that it minus I think enlarged boobs ❤️

CrazyIsLife · 14/02/2025 23:23

@Figtree11 Sorry to hear about your losses too, it really does steal the joy out of any future pregnancies doesn’t it.
Im the same, joined a thread then WhatsApp group last year and had to leave too.
Its hard when you want to believe, but also can’t talk about it so doesn’t seem real, this is why threads like these help loads.
We’re only a few days apart in DDs, I don’t have many symptoms either, tiredness, nausea and light headed sometimes - hoping all goes well at your scan in March🤞🏽

trippytippy · 15/02/2025 12:13

Hi All! Tentatively joining after a positive at home test on Wednesday which was confirmed with a blood test yesterday. Had my 5 day blast transferred on 5th February. Excited but nervous as I had a chemical last May with a natural pregnancy and then a failed embryo transfer last December

QuirkyPoster · 15/02/2025 15:42

Hi Ladies, congratulations on your pregnancies.
I hope your all keeping well.
I got my BFP on the 10/02 after multiple failed transfers. My due date should be the 17/10.

I've had my beta blood tests done, which look good and are rising as they should.
I have a scan booked in for next week.
I've sent a request to join the WhatsApp group.

GracieLouFreebushh · 15/02/2025 22:12

Hi I'm 39 coming up so an older mum, we have a 10 year old and this is the best surprise ever after a couple of early losses several years ago and nothing since. We didn't think this would ever happen.
From my LMP I'm around 5+4 and thinking about booking an early scan for reassurance at around 7+3 as we're both off work.
I'm a little worried I have no morning sickness yet.
Anyone in the same position with a big age gap?

katcha87 · 16/02/2025 04:39

Hi @GracieLouFreebushh, I am similar I will be 38 when this one is due and my son will 9 next October, So a large age gap also!
How are you feeling?

GracieLouFreebushh · 16/02/2025 05:38

@katcha87 ahhh that's great to hear someone in a similar boat!! I'm nervous but elated - how about you?
Do you know roughly your EDD?
I think we're 15th from online calculators.

katcha87 · 16/02/2025 08:00

@GracieLouFreebushh around the 17th according to my app! Sons birthday is the 19th and we will be 10 years married on the 15th so a busy October!
I'm fine I had a miscarriage at around 7wks in December and I'm not having many symptoms so far so struggling a bit mentally but hoping for the best this time around!

CustardCream31 · 16/02/2025 08:51

Morning, tentatively joining after testing positive this weekend. Due around 29th Oct 🌈 hoping for a sticky bean after a traumatic MMC in Nov and possibly a chemical in Dec. One very traumatic EMCS 8yrs ago for my son. So feels all new again!
Hope everyone is doing ok today, and you have a glimpse of sunshine where you are too!

Superscientist · 16/02/2025 11:29

Tentatively joining. This is my third pregnancy since July the other two ended as miscarriages around 9 weeks
I don't know my edd as I did have my period after my last loss in Dec. I've been nauseous for the last week which along with the lack of period prompted me to test. I suspect I'm about 5-6 weeks. I've had hyperemesis in previous pregnancies and have found around week 6 it really ramps up and gets debilitating.

RainbowLightning25 · 16/02/2025 15:23

Tentatively joining, got a positive this morning. This will be my 5th pregnancy, first pregnancy was successful (my DD is 4), 1 chemical pregnancy a few years ago, 1 blighted ovum in May last year and then a missed miscarriage in October last year.

Sounds like many of us have been through loss so grateful to be pregnant but also guarding my heart. Due date is 30th October so might have a little Halloween baby! Have sent a request for the WhatsApp group x

Mattietoes · 16/02/2025 18:44

Another one tentatively joining! Tested positive on Saturday, due date 20th October but I know I ovulated late (around day 18-21) so imagine it's more like end of October.

If all goes well, this will be our first - we have been trying since May 2024 and have had two early losses in that time.

I am feeling frantically anxious and can't quite believe it will all work out this time... I think when you have had losses the idea of a successful pregnancy just seems so unlikely, outlandish even. At the moment I have no symptoms at all really - maybe I tiny tiny bit of nausea/sore boobs but nothing I'd notice if I wasn't looking for it - so that is making me more anxious.

Just keeping absolutely everything crossed that we are third time lucky...
