Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

Care to share your 10dpo tests. This is mine wondering if I’m right to think this is really strong for 10 dpo?

That does look dark to me, I didn’t test at 10dpo this time but with my little girl it was definitely much lighter than that!

@UserL95 do you post on TikTok? I’ve just watched a video that sounds exactly like what you’ve just posted!

UserL95 · 07/02/2025 16:16

@BGxxx i do post on tiktok yes! I find it really therapeutic in a weird way ha ha

Ah what a coincidence, must be you! I did too throughout my pregnancy with my little girl

UserL95 · 07/02/2025 16:48

@BGxxx i feel a bit famous now lol!!! How are you doing?

BGxxx · 07/02/2025 20:18

@UserL95 I couldn’t believe it when I saw your message 🤣 I was feeling okay but now I’m soo anxious all of a sudden. I don’t have any sickness like I did with my first so that’s definitely making me worry

Cinnamonbunn · 07/02/2025 20:27

Hi all, hoping to join too!

It’s been a bit or a rollercoaster week with testing. I think I’m 11dpo today but started getting very faint positives with one step at 8dpo. I got worried these were indents and did a CB digital yesterday which came back ‘not pregnant’. This is my second pregnancy and I wasn’t convinced by the CB so did a first response today and had a very clear positive. I’ve gone from happy to sad several times over this week, but hopeful things will progress nicely. My periods have been very erratic so not sure when EDD would be!

DelurkingFromTheShadows · 07/02/2025 22:12

Very very very long time lurker finally posting here today as I tested positive this morning. Can’t talk to anyone in real life yet (except DH) as way too early so thought I’d break the habit of being observer and talk about it here too.

Very much wanted by me and DH - been trying for a year now. First BFP. Think off NHS due date calendar based on my cycle length likely due around October 18th if all goes well but at 36 and 1st ever positive test trying to keep emotions in check. Not up to speed on all the letter and acronyms on these threads but I’ll try to learn.

Tried to look into getting a GP appointment for next week but my surgery was refusing submissions online today to get triaged for an appointment so will try again Monday. Any advice greatly received!

Hi everyone. Congratulations on your pregnancies. I'm 14dpo today. Tested positive with a shadow at 9dpo which has progressed to a point I'm happy with it after suffering a chemical in November. Due October 16th xx

@Cinnamonbunn just to try put your mind at rest. I did a Cb digital yesterday at 13dpo fmu came back not pregnant. After 40 other tests i knew i was lol Did another yesterday evening and got my pregnant 1-2. 11dpo is super early for digital. Congratulations xx

TwoNewMummas · 08/02/2025 16:37

Very much hoping to be part of this October tribe after our first round of IUI on 5th this month. Very much looking out for all the symptoms of early pregnancy. Have been absolutely knackered - sleep early and awake early. Using progesterone to throw everything we can at it and crossing our fingers for a BFP on the 19th 🤞🏼
Would make our DD 30th October!

Cinnamonbunn · 08/02/2025 21:37

Thanks for replying @Kay1578! I’ve never used a digital before so wasn’t sure on their sensitivity. Another frer this morning was even darker so I’m feeling satisfied now. I think I should be due around October 20th so not too far between us. Is this your first?

AutumnBump · 08/02/2025 21:43

@DelurkingFromTheShadows congratulations! It could be worth checking on your GP surgery website to see what to do when you get a positive test - lots of places you self refer straight to the midwives. Although in my area I had to wait until after 5 weeks which felt like FOREVER. You don’t need a GP appt to confirm a pregnancy :) one reason for a GP appt though is if there is any medication that you are on that might need to be reviewed

No, my 8th 🙈🤣 but very much wanted. Its still every bit as gut wrenching when you see the not pregnant or the lines don't go darker. Today was the first day my line came up straight away and was almost the same colour as the control. I'm feeling more at ease now after suffering a chemical pregnancy in November xx

Oh wow! It’s nice to hear that it’s still a very similar experience and that the excitement/disappointment never changes. So much magic in getting those two lines! So sorry about your chemical in November.

IVFlife · 08/02/2025 23:18

Hello everyone! Sorry I've not been saying hi to everyone new as I've been feeling rubbish with exhaustion and this bug. Thankfully bug on mend now.

Anyone else got round ligament pain ? I had this in my 1st pregnancy really early (mw confirmed) but it's still stressing me as its so painful. I'll keep an eye and get it checked if doesn't ease.

@AutumnBump thanks for your message ☺️

I actually read in the pregnancy test leaflet if it’s positive to contact your GP so was just following that! The only self referral options on my practices website is physio and stop smoking it seems. Nor can I locate the contact details of my nearest maternity services (nhs website is useless some days)

But yesterday did pick up a copy of What To Expect When You’re Expecting so settling down to read some of that today.

Also should have put this in my first message but forgot - congrats everyone on your pregnancies!

emmatcc1 · 09/02/2025 17:37

My tests on 13 and 15 dpo are the same darkness. Test and control line are about the same color. Is this normal? I’m finally pregnant a year after my missed miscarriage which also took a year to conceive so you can imagine my anxiety is sky high.

AutumnBump · 09/02/2025 17:54

@emmatcc1 oh completely understand the anxiety, it is a really hard time. I am also very fixated on watching line progression but from what I understand, it isn’t necessarily an indicator that everything is ok. So I guess what I’m saying is that I wouldn’t worry, but also completely understand worrying about it.

AutumnBump · 09/02/2025 17:55

@emmatcc1 and also just to add - that does sound like a strong positive. I am almost 6 weeks and my tests are only recently both lines the same darkness

emmatcc1 · 09/02/2025 17:59

@AutumnBump I don’t know why I’m so fixated on the line progression since in my last pregnancy I had a 3+ on the digital and still miscarried.

emmatcc1 · 09/02/2025 18:05

@AutumnBump statistically chance of back to back mc is about 1% apparently but it’s still so hard to be positive.

Lottierascal · 09/02/2025 18:19

Thought I’d join you! Got my positive a few days ago.

Equal parts excited and anxious. Had an ectopic which required right tube being removed. This was in July 2024.

Gof my early placement scan on 21 Feb. 😀

Summerrose24 · 09/02/2025 20:47

Hope everyone is doing well, I'm around 5 weeks 2 days now, have a scan on the 28th feb which should be 8 weeks. I've had 2 MMC and a chemical so I'm very wary, it's hard to believe I will hear everything is OK that day. But just going a day at a time for now. We are in early stages of moving house so that's a good distraction although its a lot going on! Symptom wise I am exhauseted by 5pm and have a weird aversion to tea. Hope everyone is doing ok!

@emmatcc1 i think it’s because it is the only thing we have to see how things are going.

emmatcc1 · 10/02/2025 08:18

@AutumnBump Well I woke up with nausea today and a dye stealer on the test so all good and I’m gonna stop testing now.

BrightLilacCat · 10/02/2025 08:50

Hi ladies. Congratulations on your pregnancies! I’ve been lurking on this thread for the last couple of weeks but going to take a leap and join you all.

I got my BFP on 22/01 and think I’m about 6 weeks and due early October. The NHS due date calculator puts me at 5+4 but I have short cycles and early ovulation so I’m not convinced it’s correct based on LMP because I’d have had my BFP before 3 weeks. I’m feeling absolutely rotten - nausea, sickness, sore boobs and exhaustion. I’m hoping to book at scan at about 8 weeks.

I competed the booking form for my midwife about 10 days ago but I haven’t heard anything yet. Have any of you got dates for your booking appointment? When should I chase? It’s baby number 1 so I have no idea what usually happens.
