Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

Hi ladies, tentatively joining....
I got a positive last night and 2 more this morning.
Struggling to believe it cause I've had some false positives over the last few months!

Some cake made me feel incredibly sick yesterday which was first symptom with my first. I didn't have coffee yesterday as we were out and hubby forgot to tell me (tragic I know) but this morning I can barely drink it, I went off coffee with my first but not this soon.

I'm approx 4 weeks. Technically my EDD is November 2nd but I know I won't be allowed to reach my due date again (first pregnancy I had HG and ICP and I've since developed hyperthyroidism) so I'm looking at an October/Halloween baby and hope y'all will have me here 💜

MummyV2021 · 23/02/2025 13:32

Welcome to all our new BFPs 🥰 fingers crossed for all of us!!

I took my final CB digital today (after getting a dye stealer on an easy at home strip) and got 3+ 🥳🥳 I know we shouldn't read anything into these tests or use them for reassurance but there's something very reassuring about this today after multiple losses! I'm now 5+2 and will book in a scan - want to wait until 8 weeks but dying to tell my parents and close friends so think I might book it for 7 weeks! Eek!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

fluffyprawn · 23/02/2025 13:36

Hi everyone and congratulations! I'm tentatively joining - being monitored at the moment for potential ectopic due to severe cramps but my HCG is rising nicely. I have a scan Thursday which hopefully might shed some light on the PUL.

This is my second pregnancy, first was mmc with surgery at 10 weeks so everything feels a bit uncertain. I hope everyone is feeling well!

EDD is 29th October 💛 (also my dog's birthday!)

IVFlife · 23/02/2025 21:57

Hey everyone. How are you doing? I constantly riddle myself with worry. Yesterday I felt less sick and gaggy and convinced myself something was wrong. I feel more nauseous again today but not much gagging. Honestly it's so hard!

Just less than 4 weeks until 12 week scan now!

Hi!

I'd like to join Smile

EDD 21st October.
I found out 15th Feb and I should be 6 weeks today.

This is my second pregnancy. I terminated my first a few years ago at around 7 weeks, so I'm nervous and worried. I really want this baby but don't feel pregnant at the moment.

My first pregnancy I'm pretty sure I had super sore boobs by now. With this one I've been cramping since my period was due, which made me think it was coming! I know the cramps can be normal and I've had no blood. Other than that and being consistently tired, I've had no other symptoms yet.

I have a scan on 15th March (think that'll make me 8+5) and have my first midwife appointment 19th March.

Hoping everything is where it should be and developing as it should be!

Sunshine924 · 24/02/2025 08:54

Welcome @TwinklyNavyNewt I think it's common not to have many symptoms at the start - they might hit you in a week or so! Or for some people they don't get any. I understand though I am only 5 weeks and haven't got many symptoms at all - with my first I had awful sickness from 6 weeks which was horrible but at least I 'felt' pregnant. This hasn't arrived yet so part of me is asking myself the test I did was a mistake!! I'm not going down the doing more tests route though as that just fuels worry and doesn't change anything.

MakeMeJuno · 24/02/2025 09:00

No symptoms over here to speak of either really except I am waking up super early. My boobs don't really feel sore at all!

emmatcc1 · 24/02/2025 09:16

Is it normal for nausea to almost completely go away at 6 weeks?

Ultrasoundvideo · 24/02/2025 10:26

I had my ultasound of my 8wk baby and you weren't aloud to video. It fustrated me as you can buy pictures which is fine i have. What annoyed me the most is that they said it was confidential and it would put the sonograph off but when i thought about it. Sometimes they have film cameras in there to film women having babies, I don't think its fair as its our baby and our special moment if they can take pictures we can video when they say we can so we don't put them off.

Hi emmatcc,

it is completely normal for your symptoms to come and go to get worse further on. If you are worried at all call your midwife for reassurance even your gp or 111. As you know your body better than anyone.

Figtree11 · 24/02/2025 12:35

My symptoms are few & far between too. I’m now 6 weeks, and had sore boobs the whole time but they do fluctuate. Had cramps the past couple of days on & off. But no nausea. If I’m not thinking about it then I don’t feel pregnant.

I’ve had 2 MMC before so I keep worrying. I’m also on progesterone this time which I’m worried is masking there being a problem

emmatcc1 · 24/02/2025 13:31

@Figtree11 I also had a MMC my previous pregnancy so trying not to stress too much and hope for the best. I have my first ultrasound in 2 weeks so not long until I know if the baby’s okay.

SkaterChick · 24/02/2025 13:47

Hey ladies just wondering if anyone knows the answer....
In 2021 I had an ectopic mc. Local epi adviced to call them as soon as I reached 6 weeks when I got pregnant again. I did and they had me in for an early scan to make sure it was in the right place this time.

I'm now pregnant again and constant worrying it's going to be ectopic or something again. Will the epu see me again due to my history or only if I have symptoms of an ectopic?

It’s horrible isn’t it. Some days I’m ok, yet yesterday I had a bad day anxiety wise. My first scan is a week tomorrow. If it’s good news, I still won’t feel reassured as one of them was found at the 12wk scan

Beanie14 · 24/02/2025 15:16

I’m a ball of anxiety here too, I have a couple of symptoms, but not many so it’s probably quite common early on. My boobs aren’t that sore, have mild cramping/pulling sensations in my abdo and have the odd wave of nausea but I don’t think I can say I feel pregnant.
Im also worried as I’ve been having brown discharge on and off since I found out. I’m still super early only 17dpo today.
I know this isn’t the purpose of these tests but it’s stressing me out that the line progression isn’t that strong. I had a chemical last pregnancy so worried it’ll happen again. What do you think of these progression lines?l for 17dpo?

Due October 2025
emmatcc1 · 24/02/2025 16:05

@Beanie14 my tests also progressed slowly and I had brown discharge at 4w6d that lasted until 5w4d.
To me your line progression looks normal. Make sure you only test with fmu and compare tests every 2 days.

Hi! My EPU saw me at 4 weeks due to severe cramping on one side. They monitored my HCG every 48 hours as they couldn't see anything on a scan yet. I would recommend giving your EPU a call as I believe they would see you earlier with history of ectopic - worth a check!

Fab thank you, I'll call them tomorrow and see.
I've had some niggling left sided pain, not severe but there a lot.
But then I've been getting similar pain on the right side just it as often. I'm just a complete ball of anxiety 😅

fluffyprawn · 24/02/2025 18:44

@SkaterChick it's all very overwhelming isn't it! I would definitely mention that pain to them and see if they can give you some blood monitoring/scan - that might help the anxiety. Sending strength 🤍

Giraffebaby6 · 24/02/2025 18:50

Hi everyone, tentatively joining October thread. EDD going from LMP is 8th October, however this pregnancy is a rainbow pregnancy after having a miscarriage at 12 weeks in 2020. Dates make me 7w5d.

Feeling very anxious and can't seem to settle to enjoy it, although myself and DH are very happy about it. Its very hard after a loss as I'm sure there are many here that can relate.

Riddled in nausea, sickness, exhaustion, and aches and pains which is strangely reassuring even though I feel like death 😂

Has anyone had an early private scan? Would you say it eased your worries and concerns? Really struggling to shift the fear and it's really impacting my ability to bond with the pregnancy 😔

Bless you, there are lots of us here who can relate to this!

An early scan at 8 weeks would give me some reassurance, I think. There's a statistic out there about seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks gives much higher outcomes of successful pregnancies. But some people will only find the scan reassuring for a short time and then feel anxious again. It's really hard to know how you'll feel about it! I daresay it's different for some people in different pregnancies too.

Hi! My pregnancy journey has been so similar to yours. I had a mmc at 10 weeks with surgical management back in Dec. I’m now pregnant again and due 29th Oct too.

Hope your scan goes ok and it’s not ectopic. It’s so hard not to feel anxious about how the pregnancy is progressing after a mmc.

Tentative congrats 🤗

fluffyprawn · 24/02/2025 20:13

@Sara93 gosh how wild! Lovely to have someone on such a similar journey here but I'm so very sorry that you went through the same thing. The surgical intervention really is the icing on the cake...

Thank you, it's definitely a strange limbo right now waiting to find out... although my cramps have stopped all together so that's positive.

Huge congratulations to you! 🍂

CustardCream31 · 24/02/2025 21:16

@Sara93 congrats!!
Very similar to me... traumatic MMC at 9 weeks in Nov (medical), and now due on/around 29th Oct!

Just can't seem to relax fully... expecting the worst 😫 my GP said they have passed my details on the EPU so should get a call soon for an early scan, but the waiting and not knowing is awful isn't it! Just can't shake feeling that it's going to end badly again. Not many symptoms for me at the moment, whereas I did before.

Here's to happy and healthy pregnancies and babies for us all 💫 x

CoolMauve · 24/02/2025 21:21

Hi, been lurking for a while and didn’t want to post and jinx myself! Got pregnant on the back of a miscarriage in December so was worrying. But had an early scan today at the EPU and all is good and turns out I ovulated quite close to the start of my miscarriage! I’ve been given Progesterone which I have never been offered previously with prior miscarriages. Apparently NICE guidelines have changed and they recommend it after a loss? So it’s worth a shot. Due 10th October ✨
