Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

Hi I'm another more likely to have a November baby with a current edd of 31/10. If it's anything like my other two though it'll get brought forward to more like 26/10 so who knows, could actually be a Halloween baby! Lines are looking good I'm 14dpo/4weeks today.

@MummyV2021 Hi thanks for replying. It’s seems to have stopped now so maybe it was implantation bleeding.
I had a positive on a CB digital today so think I’ll stop testing for a few days now and see what happens.

Beanie14 · 21/02/2025 12:05

@Esssa Similar to me baby EDD 29th October so could be a November baby. However my DS was born 6 weeks early so who knows.
Im 14 dpo today too!

Esssa · 21/02/2025 12:21

@Beanie14 I don't think pregnancy brain can kick in this early so it must just be mum brain as I was about to ask if it was your first and comment on the early arrival of your son all in one post 😂I swear I didn't used to be this daft. Mine were 40+2 and 41 weeks but both due dates moved 5 days earlier so end of October is still possible with similar gestations.

Sunshine924 · 21/02/2025 12:31

Hi joining this thread as had positive test on Monday I think I'm about 4 and a half weeks so very early days.
I did twp tests (both clear blue one 6 days early one and one digital) both were positive.
I was wondering if people more tests to be sure or to see line progression? My DH thinks that will just fuel my anxiety (had a CP in December) I'm not bleeding so guess that's a sign so far as much as anything that things are ok it's just hard not knowing if they actually are if that makes sense. And doubting that I'm actually pregnant. Would welcome knowing how others are approaching it.

Hope1986 · 21/02/2025 13:03

@Sunshine924 I was testing daily but I promised myself not to do so anymore. Testing will not change the outcome, but not testing will protect my peace. Trust your body, and trust the process and try to embrace the journey without the pressure of constant confirmation. Good luck xx

Sunshine924 · 21/02/2025 13:04

Thanks @Hope1986 for sharing. How many weeks are you now?

Superscientist · 21/02/2025 13:06

I had my HCG tested at the epu yesterday and I'm possibly a bit further along that I was guessing. I had guessed 5-6 weeks after getting a 3+ on the clear blue and my level of nausea.
My levels have come back at over 100k from charts I've seen that could be 7+
They are giving me an early scan tomorrow!

Hope1986 · 21/02/2025 13:08

@Sunshine924 I am 4 + 4. This is my 4th pregnancy but unfortunately my 1st if everything is okay so I completely understand the anxiety!

This approach to testing really resonates with me - this month I decided not to test LH as it took the fun out of it and created stress. Couldn't resist testing before my period though but received positive news for a change!

I am currently resisting the urge to buy a clear blue digital or keep testing for the so called line progression!

How is everybody getting on? I’m 8 weeks today and so exhausted! I also can’t face eating meals so living so snacks which isn’t helping my energy levels! Just can’t face the thought of preparing food and opening the fridge makes me want to vom!

Beanie14 · 21/02/2025 18:19

@Superscientist good luck for tomorrow. How exciting that you may be further along than you first thought x

Priceslice · 21/02/2025 20:24

We had a viability scan last weekend at 6 weeks 1 day as I just needed a little assurance that everything was okay. They said I was measuring about 5 weeks but they weren’t worried. Left feeling quite panicked as I lost a baby last summer as they were measuring a week behind and then their heart stopped beating. It’s all a bit sensitive as both babies have been through IVF so they are beyond wanted!

Has anybody gone through baby measuring behind? Trying to remind myself that they’re so small right now that an accurate measurement is so hard!

emmatcc1 · 21/02/2025 22:03

@Priceslice looks more like maybe the end of week 5 so you could only be a few days earlier. Could be late implantation or even late ovulation. Being off by a couple days is normal.

@emmatcc1 thank you - sometimes you just need a rational voice! I find this part of pregnancy filled with worry so I can’t wait for the second trimester to begin.

I totally relate! It's such an anxious time. I nearly freaked out this morning because I could only see 1 magpie, which is obviously ridiculous but the illogical part of my brain panicked it meant things are going to go wrong.

Back to thinking positive thoughts... 😬

FenellaFurchester · 22/02/2025 10:46

Cautiously joining this thread 😊

EDD of 15th October. I had some bleeding two weeks ago, then an early scan at what was 6 weeks by LMP where they could only see the gestational sac. The sonographer said ‘we’d normally like to see the yolk sac by 6 weeks’ so after an anxiety filled week, I had another scan and all is there where it’s supposed to be with a heartbeat ❤️ I was measuring 6w1d and I knew I had ovulated late so it makes sense.
Bleeding is a subchorionic hematoma, from an implantation bleed.

Still riddled with worry and keep thinking my symptoms have gone, happily, they seem to keep coming back with a vengeance each time 🤞

Wishing lots of luck to everyone 😊🍀

I had the magpie thing before my second scan - absolutely spiralled over it, my rational brain just couldn’t interrupt the thoughts.

Beanie14 · 22/02/2025 10:54

@FenellaFurchester fantastic news! I’m still really early and not even sure I’m getting real symptoms or I'm just imagining them.
This time is so worrying though, I’ve also had bleeding but think it’s implantation as it’s just like discharge and not an actual bleed. Was that the same for you? I was planning on having a viability scan at 7-8weeks, hopefully can see everything then xx

@Superscientist how did your scan go? Fingers crossed all ok xx

You’re probably not imagining them, although you do get used to them so they feel less severe. I think I have adapted to the exhaustion, horrible mouth taste, gagging, breast pain, joint pain - where a couple of months ago, they’d have felt overwhelming and very obvious 😂 I gag several times just brushing my teeth, then still worry that symptoms have gone away- I’ve just got used to it.

Mine started with a tiny bit of brown spotting (but diluted in CM), the next day I had a bright red bleed. Small amounts, at no point was it as heavy as a period or with clots. Then it tailed off over the following day to a bit of brown spotting again. Brown spotting has continued in varied, but still small, quantities since. For me, it seems to be the haemorrhage working its way out although EPU told me not be worried if there is fresh blood again. Hoping my body will reabsorb the rest.

Hope1986 · 22/02/2025 13:05

How is everybody doing? How does everyone’s stomach feel? I keep getting little twinges and today I would just say it feels a bit unsettled but I don’t know if I’m imagining things!

Superscientist · 22/02/2025 13:34

I had my scan this morning and I may need to switch threads... I'm 8+3 weeks! I think that gives me a late September/early October due date!
Heart beat and looking good!

Nausea/vomiting is much better than I usually am at 8 weeks so I was really surprised but pleased!

MakeMeJuno · 22/02/2025 15:09

thank you @MummyV2021 my back cramps are quite bad so fearing the worst but so far so good - lovely to be here with you too 😍

clarelbaker · 22/02/2025 19:44

Hi All,

Tested positive on Monday (which happened to be my birthday!) first time pregnancy, non of my friends have children so very much have no idea what is going on!
I believe my due date would be end of Oct but I'm not sure if I have done my maths right Hmm
Currently I have had cramps since I tested positive which is making me extremely anxious, any one shed some light on if this is normal?

Congratulations! Lovely news for your birthday.
I'm no expert but I've also had cramps all week (I tested positive on Wednesday so think we are around the same time along) and Google (including the NHS) told me it can be normal and due to hormones / thinks stretchung. I think it's severe pain and pain with bleeding that's a worry.
I get you though - I feel convinced my period is going to arrive as it feels just like that.
