Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

@IVFlife great news on the scan!

@Mattietoes i think the lack of symptoms must be as it’s so early. It’s very anxiety provoking though - I’m always pressing my boobs to check they still hurt!

@Superscientist i hope you don’t struggle too much with sickness this time

@MummyV2021 I’m taking proceive ones

DogMum99 · 18/02/2025 19:39

We have reached full capacity on the WhatsApp group, so can't accept anyone else, so sorry ladies x

Ribenab3rry · 18/02/2025 20:52

Hello everyone ☺️ cautiously joining the group - 4+3 today and due 26 October.

I had a miscarriage in September last year (blighted ovum) which was quite traumatic. Trying not to think about it and just focus on the fact I am pregnant until proven otherwise but any other advice on how to manage anxiety in pregnancy after loss most welcome 🥰

emmatcc1 · 19/02/2025 07:07

I was so nervous due to some light spotting but I think it’s just my cervix being very sensitive this time. I’m 5 weeks 4d and was worried about my line barely progressing from last friday to yesterday so today I did a test with 100% urine and then diluted with 75% water and both came back the same darkness. Logged in premom app at 1.2. Could this be hook effect so early? I’m using one step cheapies so I’m guessing I’ve reached the limit at how dark they get.

emmatcc1 · 19/02/2025 07:26

@Ribenab3rry I hold on to the fact that chances of back to back miscarriages are very low. And I tell myself there’s no reason for me to not be able to carry a baby to term. I also plan in the future a lot and already looking at prams, nurseries and such.
It also helps that my partner didn’t even think about another loss when we found out and he’s constantly speaking about our plans when the baby gets here.

Superscientist · 19/02/2025 08:53

Thanks @Figtree11 the GP has prescribed xonvea preemptively which I'm relieved about, I'm just waiting for the pharmacy to let me know when to collect it. The nausea isn't too bad so far but I'm not doing a great deal and in my last pregnancy it was worse when I was busy/active

I spoke to the epu yesterday about early scans/ any treatment to reduce miscarriage risk. They are going to get me in for some bloods for HCG monitoring and then decided when to do an early scan. I was meant to go into today but my daughter has been up in the night being sick and I have no one to look after her today so had to push it to tomorrow.

AlwaysTryingToHelp · 19/02/2025 10:21

Congratulations everyone!

I am joining too, just found out I am pregnant with my second (My first, a little boy, is 21 months). I am currently 5+2 and will be due on 20th October.

These threads helped me so much with my first, it was a fantastic support group and I am still on the Facebook group we created and there are posts daily, it is incredible!

I have booked a private scan for 8+1 just to make sure everything is all okay, as the 12 week NHS scan is too much for me! xx

Priceslice · 19/02/2025 10:36

Also an IVF pregnancy and I’m due October 10th. 7 weeks on Friday.

How are you feeling?

pumpkinpatches22 · 19/02/2025 11:09

I’m 5 weeks 3 days today and so far very sore breasts are the most persistent symptom. The other symptom is tiredness but that seems worse on some days than others - but always in the background. Then very very small waves of nausea - more like reflux. Im not really nauseous if that makes sense? I don’t feel super sick or anything, I actually feel quite hungry most days but no food seems super appealing. It doesn’t gross me out it just doesn’t really interest me - like I just feel a bit “meh” about everything which as someone who is always thinking about food is weird. And then I find once I eat, it usually repeats on me for a while after. I’ve only gagged a few times. This morning I was hungry and that made me gag. Yesterday I had some sparkling water and that made me gag. And the day before I coughed quite hard and that made me gag. But other than that I feel ok. When I write stuff down it sounds like
loads of good signs but honestly I spend most days worrying I’ve not got enough symptoms or they’re not progressing. It’s like I am
expecting to be bed bound or something otherwise it’s not real.

Hope1986 · 19/02/2025 17:52

Hi everyone! I am 4 + 2, 14 DPO. This is my fourth pregnancy but I have no children, suffered 2 mmc and a blighted ovum. I have sore breasts and heartburn. I have been testing with pink FERP tests and the line is still faint but have a 2-3 weeks on the Clearblue digital and a darker line. Is it normal to have a faint line at this stage? I did have darker ones with my last pregnancy and it was an empty gestational sac so trying not to read too much into it xx

Mattietoes · 19/02/2025 18:25

Hi all, good to hear how everyone's doing. I have felt quite down and anxious today. I saw the GP this morning who has referred me to EPU for a scan at 6 weeks, but he said he was surprised I haven't been put on progesterone given my previous losses (he wasn't able to prescribe). It has sent me into a real tailspin, thinking I'm going to lose this pregnancy because of not being on progesterone - even though there is no evidence I have low progesterone, and from what I've read the studies on its helpfulness are quite mixed.

I got 2-3 weeks on a ClearBlue digital test this morning which I think is what it should be for where I am (4w 3d). I think I will test again on Friday. I just have an awful terror of the tests turning lighter and this being yet another early loss...

My symptoms are about the same. Sore boobs, tiredness, very slight nausea sometimes.

MakeMeJuno · 20/02/2025 06:51

Morning all - not sure whether to join this thread as just got my BFP so EDD is 31/10! So probably will be a Nov bub... I am feeling nervous and excited about the prospect of a Halloween baby x

I have sore boobs, cramping and some spotting yesterday - AF actually not due until the weekend so maybe getting ahead of myself.

Due October 2025
squishousdelicious · 20/02/2025 10:06

I'm trying so hard not to be worried right now... went to the toilet and has some browny-pink mucus when I wiped.

Did another digital test and got a 2-3 weeks, not 1-2 like last time (less than a week ago) but I'm so worried this is the beginning of something bad 😕

emmatcc1 · 20/02/2025 10:38

@squishousdelicious I had that as well but I think mine was caused by sex irritating mu cervix. Mine slowly tapered off in 3-4 days. Even coughing/sneezing or after a bowel movement your cervix can bleed a bit.
But spotting in early pregnancy is actually very common and not a cause for concern unless it turns red and/or accompanied by cramps or sharp one sided pains.
If you did IVF you’re even more prone to spotting.

Edited

It's so hard not to look for the additional symptoms!! Every time I move, I'm worrying that my back is hurting, or every time I have a twinge in my stomach... the only reassurance I have at the moment is that, unlike my previous miscarriage, I haven't had a migraine yet. Though then I tell myself that it's because I'm much earlier on than the time I miscarried.

Just hoping and praying with every fibre of my being and trying so, so hard not to think about it 😕

AmberNewt · 20/02/2025 11:42

Hi all… tentatively joining this thread too. Got my bfp and EDD of 31/10. This is following a CP and MMC at 8 weeks last year, so feeling quite anxious but trying to remember one day at a time!

Tink2007 · 20/02/2025 13:27

Is anyone else here a slightly older mum at 39 (40 later on in the year)? Just had a positive on Tuesday and am sitting at 4 weeks today.

Beanie14 · 20/02/2025 22:16

Hi everyone can I join please?
Currently 2 days late, 13dpo and had vf bfp yesterday and stronger positive today.
Im a little worried though as since I’ve had brown discharge when I wipe since yesterday evening. Anyone else had this? I know it could be implantation but I’m worried this could be another chemical.
Due October 29th all being well.

MummyV2021 · 21/02/2025 07:40

Hi @Beanie14 and tentative congrats! I haven't experienced any discharge/spotting but often see others who do and can be completely normal but I understand your worry around loss. I'd say so long as it's brown/light pink then you should be ok. Fingers crossed for you!
