@LER2023 wishing you lots of luck with this pregnancy!!
Having a scan at 7 weeks may or may not help put your mind at ease but it will give you some idea of how your pregnancy is progressing.

I feel your pain! The breast pain the progesterone is causing me is unbearable at times. Hugs feel like torture.

I had my viability scan with tommys yesterday, I didn’t leave feeling very reassured but they could see a hear beat at 6+2. Measuring a few days behind from my dates.

It’s so hard, I hate that I can’t feel excited.

Hi there, I hope everyone is well? I hope you don't mind me joining.

It feels a little surreal as I've read all of this thread and the two previous threads, so I feel like I know some of you already!

I'm lucky enough to have one DS who is 2.5 years old. We've been trying for our second but I had a MMC in November 2024 (found out at the 12 week scan that our baby's heart stopped at around 7 weeks, a few days after a private scan showed everything was fine). I waited one cycle to let my body find its rhythm again and got pregnant again straight away in December... sadly that resulted in a MC at six weeks :(

I waited one cycle again and have been super lucky to conceive on the first try again. I'm now 5 weeks pregnant and losing my mind, hence spending all week reading all of these threads!

I'm on progesterone and have an early scan with EPU at 8 weeks but the wait is killing me. I don't want to book one any earlier in case it's inconclusive, so I'm considering booking private HCG blood tests if my GP isn't willing to do it.

I know you all know exactly how I'm feeling, with regards to needing reassurance but then any reassurance you do get is fleeting... I'm praying this one works out but I'm terrified of getting my hopes up so I'm pretty all over the place! xxx

@LER2023 aw thank you, you too! ❤ How far along are you now?

Omg I know, I was wearing green trousers at work yesterday and realised when I went to the toilet that I had a big slightly darker patch making it look like I'd wet myself if anyone got close enough to see, I hadn't felt anything though but I'll be wearing black from now on that's for sure! xx

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 wishing you lots of luck!! Pregnancy after loss is extremely stressful. It is so hard to relax and enjoy the pregnancy, I’m am too scared to feel any kind of hope or happiness this early on.

Thanks lovely, you too! 💕
How far along are you now?

My GP has agreed to do some HCG tests next week to help put my mind at ease before my first scan, which is really kind of her!

This thread seems quite quiet recently, has everyone left? 😅

Figtree11 · 28/03/2025 14:40

Unfortunately I’ve had to bow out. Had my third missed miscarriage confirmed yesterday.
Hope all goes well for the rest of you

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 28/03/2025 15:46

@Figtree11 oh I'm so very sorry lovely💔Take care of yourself, sending lots of love x

Superscientist · 28/03/2025 16:33

I'm still around, I'm 13 weeks now and had my dating scan last week. It doesn't feel very real.
I was made redundant the day I found out I was expecting again and have been looking for jobs. I've got two interviews next week which are stressing me. It's not just the interview but the breaking the news that I'm 3 months pregnant if I get offered one of the positions and will be going onto maternity leave less than 6 months into the role.
I wouldn't in normal circumstances be looking for work whilst pregnant but not applying for jobs when seeing something suitable wasn't an option especially when I knew the pregnancy continuing wasn't a given when I started my applications.

Thinking of you. I'm sorry you are going through another loss x

Pumpkinspice13 · 28/03/2025 17:34

@Figtree11 so sorry to hear that you lost your baby. I hope you are getting lots of support.

Pumpkinspice13 · 28/03/2025 17:46

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 I am 7+3. Both my losses were around 14 weeks, I’ve had 1 scan so far for “reassurance” but baby was measuring a few days behind where I had thought I was and it just made me more anxious. I have another in a few weeks and I’m already dreading it.

It’s good that your GP is being supportive and offering the blood tests. Wishing you lots of luck with your blood tests and scan. Have they given you the date for your scan yet? Hopefully the next few weeks go quickly.

Pumpkinspice13 · 28/03/2025 17:53

@Superscientist Thats fab news!!! You don’t have to disclose your pregnancy to potential employers, if you feel it would better your chances of getting the role, you can wait until you are offered the position. Lots of luck with your interviews! And of course with your pregnancy!!

Superscientist · 28/03/2025 18:46

@Pumpkinspice13 yes I don't plan on mentioning it unless I'm offered the position but even so the idea is still filling me with dread! It's a small industry so I don't want to piss people off but I couldn't exactly do nothing!

Im currently 6+2 and dying🤣

Im shattered, i have the worst pregnancy bloat and i have an aversion to coffee.. DECAF AT BEST.
Hate the smell of cooking meat and all i want is shit food🫠

Im tired constantly and ive had to cancel my holiday to rome under doctors orders😂
My boobs are SUPER heavy and my nipples feel like theyre ready to fall off. I woke up this morning nearly ready to pee my pants!
Im not wearing anything but jeans at the minute and theyre starting to get tight😂😂

Good luck in your pregnancy honey!!

So after my fifth miscarriage last month, we decided not to try anymore and be content with the life we had.

Life had other plans. We thought we avoided the right days, however apparently not as this turned up this morning 😅

I am slightly panicking though as I’ve got a cold so had been taking day / night nurse the last two days and obvs I know that’s not recommended 😬

IDontDrinkTea · 29/03/2025 07:51

Argh photo didn’t attach. Try again!

Superscientist · 29/03/2025 08:35

Congratulations! Don't worry about the meds if won't have an impact this early the fertilised egg is looking after itself mostly at this stage. It's more an issue once the placenta is established.
I was 7 weeks when I found out I was pregnant this time around, no period since last miscarriage, and had a night out with a couple of drinks and took ibuprofen for something and was drinking caffeinated drinks. This pregnancy came after 2 miscarriages in the previous 8 months but I'm now 13 weeks!

LER2023 · 29/03/2025 11:58

Wow this pregnancy is SO different from the rest!!

Do reach out to your GP. There's meds that are safe in pregnancy. I've had hyperemesis in 3 of my 4 pregnancies. This pregnancy it wasn't as bad but I was put on xonvea as a precaution when the nausea started and that removed the nausea and sickness completely. Upto 9 weeks if I missed a dose I was sick in the afternoon but I was able to reduce it and come of it around 11 weeks.
With my daughter I was on cyclizine through out my first and third trimesters.
