@CSSL7 I've been nauseous since about week 6 I would guess. Had a few random times being sick since then, and now I've been sick every day from about Wednesday - I'll be 9 weeks on Tuesday (from LMP). Hoping it doesn't get any worse

Omg we’re literally due the same day! I’m 9 weeks on Tuesday (from LMP)! How exciting. I have my first scan Tuesday too!

I honestly feel for you. I thought I was so lucky this time but today is such a bad turn

Happy Monday! How is everyone doing?
I had my Covid and flu jabs over the weekend which wiped me out, but feeling a bit better today. Struggling with sleep which I’m finding frustrating!

I’m glad you’re feeling better! I was offered flu jab via a text from doctors and wasn’t sure if I should get it? I thought we got it like 20+ weeks or pregnant?

im good - has my first scan yday and I was 8w3d (so it does develop from ovulation not LMP-good to know) also so interesting that dead on 8 weeks my symptoms ramped up.

Have you had a scan yet or are you waiting til 12 weeks?

OP posts:
teampacey · 12/11/2024 15:12

You can have your flu and covid now. I would recommend rather than waiting as now is the flu season. People don't think it impacts us but we're vulnerable. You can then have RSV at 28 weeks and whooping cough at about 20 weeks as they are more for the baby than the mum (I'm a midwife)

I’m not sure about timings but they offered it to me knowing my weeks and I checked with the doctor administering and she said all safe. Just be prepared to maybe be wiped out the day after.
That’s really good news about your scan! What was your LMP and Ovulation dates? I am confused about how many weeks I am so far as everywhere says different!
I haven’t had any scans, but I am tempted. I’ve got my first midwife appointment next week.

My LMP is 10th Sept but I ovulated CD 18/19 28th Sept.

@CSSL7 I had my first midwife appointment and she mentioned vaccines, I said I already had my flu jab before I knew I was pregnant and she said that's fine as long as you get it.
Got a pamphlet about RSV @ 28 weeks, and then whooping cough at 16 weeks.

@Moneyworrier123 I think you can't know for sure until you have a scan. Today she told me I was 9 weeks based on LMP but I think I'm probably only 8 as I have long ish cycles. Scan in two weeks so looking forward to finding out!!

Gooseygander555 · 12/11/2024 18:36

@CSSL7 our dates are identical! That's so weird!!!

Dates are so confusing, I don’t think I can get my head around it! I know my LMP was 18th September and I have short cycles (around 24 days), so NHS says 22nd June due date but maybe I’ll be behind! Hope not 🙏

JamTartLover · 12/11/2024 19:42

I'm 8 weeks and my estimated due date is 19th June!

I'm so nauseous too, it started a couple of weeks ago but now full on throwing up in the morning.

I've asked the doctors for cyclizine but haven't taken it yet. I'm on pregnacare too.

I found Lucozade surprisingly helpful for the sickness!

JamTartLover · 12/11/2024 19:43

giaTTC · 26/10/2024 21:22

I'm 6 weeks and 2 days and due on 19th June 😊 already had an early scan and saw a heartbeat! Feeling soooo tired 😴

We have the same due date!🥰

giaTTC · 12/11/2024 19:45

@JamTartLover awww yay! Date twins! That's so exciting. I luckily haven't been sick yet. I do feel sick if I don't eat at least every 2 hours but think I've been pretty lucky. I'm going for another scan tomorrow because I'm tooooo nervous 😂

Aww, I had an early scan as I feared an ectopic pregnancy and everything was fine.

Hoping for the best for you tomorrow!

CSSL7 · 13/11/2024 08:05

Eeeeeeek it’s so exciting seeing all of our due dates!! And so pleased it’s all going well for everyone so far. It’s going to be so weird in May/June when we all start having babies 😭😭😭😭

How is everyone doing?
I had my first midwife appointment today which was exciting - finally to see someone! She had no concerns about me so far which is good 😊 still resisting the early scan! She’s said I’m now 8 weeks 4 days pregnant.
Symptoms wise I am feeling less sick, but soooo hungry all the time. Still finding it hard to drink water unfortunately.
Hope everyone else is doing well 💕

JamTartLover · 18/11/2024 18:29

I had my first midwife appt last week and I was about 8 weeks too.

I'm booked in for my 12 week scan in about 3 weeks which is exciting!

Still deciding when to announce the news. Only my manager, husband and select family and friends know atm!

Edited to say, I'm feeling really sick, hoping it will end soon (but probably won't)

That’s really exciting! I’m on countdown for our first scan, it’s 4 weeks away but before Christmas which I’m happy about.
Tell people when you feel ready, we’ve told people as we’ve seen them as I’m so incapable of keeping a secret!!

Thank you, just seen your edit about feeling really sick. I’ve found that if I let myself get hungry then I feel really sick. So I’ve been eating frequently, even when I don’t feel hungry. It’s hard because I don’t want to eat but I know it helps. Have you noticed that anything helps yours?

Maybe I'll try eating more often then!

I've found sparkling water (or any carbonated drinks helpful) but I've also got anti emetic medication just for when I'm on the tube or when I'm at work.

CSSL7 · 18/11/2024 18:58

Pleased everyone’s appointments are going well. You’re doing so well resisting early scan @Moneyworrier123 we are also resisting now until 3rd December for 12 weeks scan (im worried I’ll only be 11w3d and it’ll matter but maybe means we get to go back a week after)

my hunger is still incessant. It’s unbearable honestly. Constantly having to think of what to eat. Sick of the same things. Up at midnight needing to eat even if I had a big dinner. I also had a horrific headache yesterday and today.

im getting girl vibes for me.

Yes try the more often, it has really made a difference for me. I have to force feed myself but once I start eating I feel good.

It is hard resisting!! But I keep thinking I’ve had no signs of anything worrying so just have to trust it’s all going ok.
im sorry you’re struggling with the food. I know exactly what you mean about being sick of eating. I feel like we constantly have food deliveries these days as I’m running out of food so quick. Mine isn’t as bad as yours it sounds but I really do empathise with you. Hopefully it will ease up soon!

Gooseygander555 · 18/11/2024 19:12

Was just thinking of you all today and wondering how everyone is doing!
My scan is two weeks, I'm excited but nervous in case something is wrong. Also have the same worry as @CSSL7 that it's too early and I'll have to go back. I want to be able to start planning for this pregnancy but at the moment I don't want to just in case I set myself up for disappointment.
I'm also still quite sick - also find eating helps and if I let myself get hungry is when the sickness starts. Threw up on a lovely walk yesterday 🙃 And had an awful 3-day headache last week.
