@CSSL7 - Feeling good too (finally!)

I have my 20 week scan this week so looking forward to that!

Moneyworrier123 · 03/02/2025 21:06

Hi @CSSL7 I’m glad you’re feeling better!! Second trimester glow has arrived for you!
Hope all goes well with your scan this week @JamTartLover.
I am starting to get really achy and having to realise I can’t do as much as before. Had a busy active weekend and have so much leg and hip pain now. Still got a week until our 20 week scan, it’s felt like the longest wait ever. Can’t wait to find out that everything is ok with little one and if they are a boy or girl!

JamTartLover · 03/02/2025 21:52

@moneyworrier123 I started to get knee pain over the weekend just from walking up the stairs so I feel your pain!

Has anyone started buying baby stuff? I've been researching pushchairs and baby seats but I haven't bought anything yet.

Sorry you’ve got knee pain! I’m used to being quite active and have a few running races booked in but might become walking races 😂
We have only bought clothes so far really, mostly second hand. I’ve been overwhelmed by the bigger things and don’t really know where to start!

JamTartLover · 04/02/2025 21:34

@moneyworrier123 I'm in the same boat re. big items!

I have been looking at next to me cribs as they seem better than moses baskets. I'm currently debating about how much to spend on a Pram!

I'm going to start buying clothes after the 20 week scan I think (it's in a couple of days!)

JamTartLover · 09/02/2025 09:12

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well during their pregnancies!

I've had my 20 week scan this week and found out we are expecting a girl! 💕

The anomaly scan went well so we are going to start buying baby clothes (and then work out way up to buying bigger items)

Moneyworrier123 · 09/02/2025 21:18

Congratulations on your scan @JamTartLover!! A baby girl, how exciting.
Our scan is tomorrow, I’m nervous! Did you have a whooping cough vaccine at the same time?

Im booking my whooping cough vaccine via my GP instead so didn't get it at the same time.

I hope all goes well for you today!

Hello @JamTartLover and @CSSL7 I’m joining the baby girl gang! She was perfect 🥰

JamTartLover · 11/02/2025 17:40

@moneyworrier123 how amazing! That's great news!

How funny that we are all having girls!

So funny they’re all girls! I still can’t believe it, very happy 🥰🥰

Hey ladies, how are we all doing? 🥰

JamTartLover · 28/02/2025 08:39

@moneyworrier123 I'm good thanks, how are you?

The kicks are starting to get stronger and I'm almost at the 24 week point! I've also started speaking to my work about when I'll be taking my maternity leave so it feels very real now!

Glad you’re good!! I am also doing well, apart from just very achy and struggling with mobility more than I have been. Starting swimming next week though which I hope will help. Also feeling more kicks and my husband felt her for the first time this week which was amazing!
When are you planning on starting maternity leave? I have also officially put all mine in and hoping to start 2 weeks before my due date.

Aww, it's so lovely feeling the kicks💕🥰

Is your placenta anterior or posterior?

I'll be starting mine about two weeks before too, just in case. My sister gave birth to her first two weeks before the due date.

Moneyworrier123 · 01/03/2025 18:25

@JamTartLover my placenta is posterior, how about you?
I’m still feeling overwhelmed by what to buy! I think we’ve got lots of clothes now but need to get the bigger things soon.

Yeah, mine is also posterior!

I'm in the same boat re. the big items, particularly the travel systems as there are so many to choose from and they are pricey!

That is one thing we have bought, we decided to get the mamas and papas flip xt but my father in law has bought it for us which is very kind of him. Otherwise I think I’d have done second hand, in fact at our mamas and papas they had preloved ones which they’d serviced and they looked as good as new!

That's lovely of your FIL!

Might see if our local Mama and Papas have the preloved ones too!

Moneyworrier123 · 24/03/2025 19:38

Hi everyone! Wow we are nearly at the end of March, I thought I’d check in on how you are all doing?
I’m definitely starting to need to slow down a lot more, and finding myself very tired easily. Bump is huge and heavy and I can feel it in my legs when walking - I have definitely got the waddle now!
It has been lovely to feel her start moving so much 🥰
We are making slow progress on the nursery, it needed quite a bit of work on it before we can furnish it but we’ve been able to get most furniture second hand. Just the cot and crib to buy now which we will get new. I can’t wait to organise things but need to wait for my husband to paint first.
Anyway I hope you’re all well and babies are ok. Look forward to hearing your updates!

JamTartLover · 24/03/2025 22:26

Hi, I'm doing well thanks!

Almost at the third trimester now. My maternity cover has been advertised too so it's starting to feel so real. My bump has gotten huge now too!

I'm really unprepared (usually I'm so organised), but I'm doing research on what to get. I'll probably get a next to me crib.

I love the movements, it's so assuring and lovely!

Glad to hear you're doing well @moneyworrier123

heyyy! im doing good but cant wait for June tbh lol. Im over the symptoms! Heartburn is just boring now 😂 (I don’t wanna take tablets for it). I think I showed super early and gained a lot of weight early but I plateaud the last four weeks! I have eaten constantly little and often for 7 months now and only since the last few days have I started having three meals and no snacks! But the restless leg syndrome has started! 😂

i love feeling her too and went for a 4d scan last week! It was incredible and I’m so glad cuz we haven’t been offered growth scans or anything so it’s a long time without any scans!

id honestly go for another next week it was so good!

our nursery is done thanks to my parents! It’s super simple but I’m now on the rest of the house 😂

I also went in to hospital last week for INCREASED movements. She was wild. Could see her moving hourly (its usually three times a day) and she was fine and apparently it’s cuz I had excess Nutella that morning 😂😂😂

I've been getting strange spasms in my legs too! I didn't realise it happens during pregnancy!

I loved seeing my baby in the scans, it's a shame there's only two so I can understand the appeal of 4D scans!

Glad to hear you are well!

Moneyworrier123 · 30/03/2025 11:41

Hi both!
@JamTartLover glad you are doing well, exciting that work are advertising for cover. Like you said that makes it feel more real!!
@CSSL7 also glad you’re ok! omg the restless leg syndrome is awful isn’t it, mine is from about 8pm every night I just cannot sit still. I’ve heard magnesium spray helps so have been trying that but it makes me really itchy. We actually are having a 4D scan tomorrow, I am so excited. It’s our first private scan but I just can’t wait another 13 weeks until she’s here to see her face. Increased movements is wild like you said, I didn’t even know that was a thing!
Have either of you started your hospital bag yet?

I've started making a list but that's as far as I've gotten.

I've heard that the nappies at Costco are good value so will do a shop there once we buy the membership.

13 weeks feels like it's so close!

Good luck for your 4D scan!💕
