Saw we hit page 40, so figured I'd get a head start on the next thread just in case!!

Oh gosh, I just thought, there may not be very many more of these threads - I wonder if this one may even be the last?!

HUGE congrats to @MudandMoet on their gorgeous wee one!!
Best of luck on your way home this afternoon/this evening, I'm desperate to ask all about what it was like but I'll avoid that as I don't want anyone to get nervous/anxious about what's to come!!

Super glad you're feeling mostly okay and so so SO happy for you! <3

Thanks for the new thread! I can’t believe we’ve made it to Thread 10.

Thanks @SpicyMoth! Wild to think how close September is now and we'll all be meeting our babies soon ❤

TripleESept24 · 23/08/2024 16:40

Crazy how close we all are!!!!!

UnicornRainbow2 · 23/08/2024 16:49

Thankyou so much @Lillers for all the advice and information! I will take a look 👍🏼

As you say it’s very over whelming but something that needs to be done!

BakeOffRewatch · 23/08/2024 16:50

Hi everyone 39wks here. Prepped for home birth and also mentally for an induction in the hospital as I had a pessary last time at 42 weeks. The days are going soooo slowly. Third pregnancy, I have a toddler and had a late loss, which meant I really didn’t engage with this pregnancy until late on. Recently been on the home run mentality and buying a lot of stuff online! And joining this thread of course with you lovely ladies. It’s been so wonderful to hear about your babies and also have your advice.

Caroline2023 · 23/08/2024 17:10

Thanks @SpicyMoth just checking in!

Emmaev · 23/08/2024 17:25

How amazing we’ll all have our babies soon!

I’m 38+4 now and absolutely no sign of labour. My mw offered me a sweep next week but I’ll say no and just see what my body wants to do. I have our last growth scan on the 4th sept when I’ll be 40+2, I have a feeling that we will make it there and she’ll be overdue.

Im so tired all day everyday, spend half my life in bed.

Anyone had any signs of labour so far?

SpicyMoth · 23/08/2024 17:40

That's funny @Emmaev , my next MW appt & scan is 4th Sept when I'll be 40+1 really hoping I labour before then, but as it's my first I'm anticipating being overdue also!

Does anyone know if there's any genetic link to being overdue? I was 2 weeks late for my mum and she had to be induced!

Re; labour signs, I've had one or two false alarms, but unfortunately nothing that's stuck - I honestly don't know how my skin is going to cope with more brewing time, I genuinely feel like my skin's on the verge of tearing :'(
I'm totally with you on being super tired all day everyday Emmaev, I think we're definitely at the "exhausted" stage.

How're you doing emotionally?
I'm so SO fed up now.
Honestly if I hear one more comment about my size and how big I am, or the fact that I'm now in XL & XXL's, or how I should enjoy the time to sleep before baby, or even how I'm going to be in much more pain later on than I am now I think I'm going to scream.

Checking in :) so exited for all the baby updates 🥰 😍 36 weeks and finally feeling exited to meet my little girl 💕

cd24x · 23/08/2024 17:55

Checking in. Thanks @SpicyMoth!

36+2 and had my ELCS booked in today. Was told I'd get a confirmed date within a week then a few hours after my appointment got a call from the midwife to schedule it in for 6th Sept. Travelling to see family 1.5hr away next week, so trying to work out when I will find time to clean, batch cook, declutter, sleep etc 🙈

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 23/08/2024 18:40

Checking in - the thread where we all have our babies!!! Wooohoooo!!!

Decaffe · 23/08/2024 19:14

Checking in! 36w1d here. Feeling virtually housebound due to PGP; walking is a real struggle now.

26 days to go before c-section. Still feels quite a way…

Fik88 · 23/08/2024 19:38

Thanks for the new thread @SpicyMoth Just checking in. 37 weeks 2 days and getting impatient now but my other 2 were late so not expecting this one to be on time either. First were 15 days late second 13 days late. Thinking of having a sweep at 39 weeks but never worked with my other 2

HRP1990 · 23/08/2024 20:37

Thanks for the new thread @SpicyMoth I can’t believe we’ll all have babies in this one!

I’m 37+2 today and have a presentation scan tomorrow morning organised by the home birth team to check he’s head down. I’m still undecided what route I’ll go down, but either way I’m looking forward to seeing him as I haven’t had a scan since 20 weeks! I doubt I’ll see much if he’s engaged though!

SantasRubiksCube · 23/08/2024 20:53

Just checking in, 38+1 here and keep getting pains in my lower back which I keep thinking 'is this it?' but then it doesn't amount to anything (baby is back to back so fully expecting pain in lower back to be a sign, or maybe I'm just hopeful 😅). Just want to echo what someone mentioned in the previous thread, the happy high you feel after having a baby is great, but just be aware of the hormone crash a few days/week later. For me it usually comes as feelings of being overwhelmed, stressed about everything and just generally tearful. Obviously normal for everyone but I didn't realise how normal until after my last baby, my neighbour and friend asked me 'so have you had a good cry yet?' and definitely speak to someone about it, midwife, GP or even just a friend, it is normal and doesn't mean your not happy about having your baby, just means that it's alot we go through and it's not always Disney like, sometimes it's sitting on the toilet while you change your giant maternity pad and bursting into tears (my own personal experience, not a necessity to everyone 😂). Just be kind to yourselves while on the after birth rollercoaster x

Checking in at 36+5 here. I can't believe the September thread is now the baby watch thread, no need to go spy on earlier months chats anymore!

PinkWatermelon88 · 23/08/2024 21:21

Checking in at 36w3d. I can’t believe how close we all are it’s bananas how quick the time has gone!
I find myself super anxious the last few days since I was told the amniotic fluid is lower than what I had been tracking. Due back in Tuesday for a scan but I find myself worrying about movements WAY more the last couple days.
Can’t wait for all our babies to be here and a whole new wave of things to worry about 😂💕

Kiwi23 · 23/08/2024 21:31

I’m 36+4 and she has been giving me light in croch all day I went over buy 4 days with all my other girls but have a feeling this little lady may make and early entrance but that could be wishful thinking.. midwife’s giveing me sweeps from 38 weeks x

MrsMoggy · 23/08/2024 21:32

Joining in whilst snuggling my now 10 day old 😱 wishing all the best to everyone waiting for their babies, looking forward to all the announcements

Cinai2 · 23/08/2024 21:52

Checking in, 36 weeks exactly, just had my probably last scan before my c section in 3 weeks. I had cramps in my lower back and abdomen last night….but these were constant for 20-30 minutes rather than coming in waves, so I don’t think it’s Braxton-Hicks or a sign of labour. Did anyone else experience this? I mentioned it to the sonographer today and she said she wouldn’t worry, baby looked fine on the scan, so I’m assuming everything is ok.

MrsM89 · 23/08/2024 23:21

Checking in. I'm 37+1! But hoping for September and having had one at 40+6 and one 40+0 I'm not expecting anything to happen yet. Xxx
