Still no period, still BFN, still huge bellied, tried to get a doctors appointment this morning, but they were fully booked apparently, all the receptionist could offer was for me to take DS1 (inset day tomorrow) and DS2 to the surgery doorstep tomorrow morning at 8am, and the doctor might see me if he feels like it.

There is no way I can get there for 8am tomorrow, (I don't drive, buses don't start till 7.30, then I'd have to get from town to the doctors, at DS1's pace, I'd be pushing it to get there for 8.15) and there is no saying that I'll get a 'normal appointment for tomorrow judging by today's fiasco.

I am really sorry to start yet another thread about this, I feel like such a bloody drama queen, but I really don't know what to do.

No I have done two Llyods own brand, two Boots digital (think that was the day period was due, and the day after but I can't remember exactly now!) And I did a FR the day before period was due. The rest have been eBay cheapies.

I am waiting until I have something, anything that might just resemble a BFP on the cheapie, then will go and get a FR.

If I go and get more proper tests now I'll have used them all by the end of today, and be bankcrupt into the bargain!

right, time to get strict with yourself, its pointless testing several times a day, get a good test (FR or CB) and do it with fmu. not before.

if bfn try again in a few days, hcg multiplies fairly quickly but not that quickly. that way does madness lie!

NatalieJane · 05/04/2008 08:33

It's OK, I have got a load of cheapies left, might as well use them up! On Monday I'll ask for a blood test, and I am sure if we are still at the same point by the end of the week the GP will offer something else, won't she?! She'll have to because I'll have ripped heads off by then!

sorry, sound very abrupt, trust me, i know how hard it is to resist, but i dread to think how much ive spent on cheap tests and early testing both financially and emotionally. you need a blood test from your gp.

NatalieJane · 05/04/2008 08:40

Lissie, it is OK, I am testing a lot, but in my heart or hearts I know they will be BFN, I am not expecting to get get a BFP for another 5-6 days, that is how long it took with DS2, and by thinking that if period comes before then we'll put it down to experience!

Well I am not pregnant, period has just come, at least we can all go back to no threads about NJ in active convo's, for a while anyway!!

hippipotami · 05/04/2008 11:07

But how is your tummy now? Has it gone down with the arrival of period? If so, was it water retention?

Sorry you are not pregnant, hope you are ok.

NatalieJane · 05/04/2008 11:10

Yeah I am OK thanks.

The GP said my belly was just a build up of hormones from the MC, and then the late period adding to it, so I am hoping it will go down with the period. It should do, shouldn't it?

hippipotami · 05/04/2008 15:12

Yes, it should (but am not a medical expert)
If it doesn't, then of course go back to the doctor.

Buckets · 05/04/2008 17:39

Hope things get back to normal for you soon NJ. Good luck.

peachygirl · 05/04/2008 19:36

NJ I've been lurking, so sorry about AF, Hope things get back to normal soon

belgo · 05/04/2008 19:45

hope things return back to normal soon NJ, and you have good luck next month.

WestCountryLass · 05/04/2008 20:54

I haven't read the whole thread so not sure if you have had a diagnosis but I looked like that when I had ovarian cysts. In my case it was the cyst/hormones. If you haven't started your period then it might be worth seeing a gynae for a scan.

JodieG1 · 07/04/2008 12:59

So sorry your af showed up

NatalieJane · 07/04/2008 18:40

Thanks everyone, very much appreciated, I am OK though, just relieved to know either way!

Here's to this month being the month! (I do promise not to make quite as many threads though!! )

HI NJ, sorry the news wasn't what you hoped.
How is your belly now? I have to say the pg hormones explanation sounds a bit odd to me. Is it worth checking out whether your big symptom was digestion-related?
Take care

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 07:39

Hi Listers

It sounds a bit odd to me after all this time, but it seems to be true, the belly is softening up, in the mornings it is almost back to normal, but by the evening it is big again, but not as big as it was IYKWIM? It is shrinking back to normal, just taking it's time!

It is good though, I can actually get my jeans back on and do them up, at least for most of the day!
