After the lovely Hopingrae had created such a wonderful thread.

I wanted to carry this on, as many more women need that added extra support.

Hope everyone can find some support on this thread x

Pregnancy after loss support | Mumsnet

Hi ladies, I've recently found out I'm pregnant again after 2 losses in a row. I'm very lucky to have a DS and I had another MC before I had him. So 3...

@DonnaWhat
This is my first and it's been such a fraught journey that I will just be happy to have him in my arms. I do have 4 nieces though so it will be the first boy in the family :)

@LER2023 Oh no! Would normally recommend ice cream for your poorly mouth but that's not a useful suggestion when you are trying to eat healthy! Maybe a little sorbet wouldn't be so bad? I'd 100% recommended trying out yoga. I only got into it in the last 10 months and it makes me feel so much better physically and mentally. It was one of the only things after miscarriage that helped with how low my body confidence was. Plus, it might really come in handy if you will be spending time on the floor playing with little nieces and nephews 🥰 My favourite instructor on YouTube is Charlie Follows. Great sequences for all abilities, clearly explained and absolutely no pressure to match what she is doing or push yourself too much. It should be challenging yes, but kept to your personal level depending on body type and proportions, and what feels good.

I still have jealousy of everyone who can hold their babies already, it's so hard to shake. I know it's not easy and I appreciate you still checking in here and enjoy seeing your updates 😊 Would love a photo of your new squirrel friend 🐿️ (I think that's a chipmunk, can't find a squirrel!)

New squirrel friend incoming!! He’s called Gerald!!

i might have to nosey at that YouTube channel!! See if it makes me feel better haha!

@LER2023 is Gerald a red squirrel? Treasure him, we don't see many of those around anymore.

Is anyone else in the "can't sleep through the night anymore" club? 😆

Onthedouble123 · 16/08/2024 04:40

@DonnaWhat Hi 👋 here I am for my nightly 3 hour wide awake in the early hours session. 👀.
And this comes after waking up just before midnight dropping in sweat!
I used to love my sleep. A distant memory...😴 🥱

DonnaWhat · 16/08/2024 09:13

@Onthedouble123 it's great isn't it 😆😆😆

Ttcpph · 16/08/2024 09:54

hi all
i had a MMC in October 2022. Since then have struggled to conceive and finally got my BFP a week ago after our second FET. I'm riddled with nerves. I'm on progesterone, clexane and prednisone steroids. The prednisone can apparently mask symptoms, so really struggling as don't feel pregnant. Just headachey and constant pit in my stomach feeling. Do these lines look ok? I know it's an ivf pregnancy but I'm the equivalent of 22DPO today.

Ladies I think I'll be miscarrying soon. My tests aren't really progressing since Tuesday. They haven't gotten lighter. But I'm 14dpo so four weeks, 3 days and I'm still getting 1-2 on weeks indicator and my test hasn't changed much from this since Wednesday. I'm devastated. I can see the pattern. I really thought after losing my twins at 29 weeks that this was my lucky break.

@Ella31 I've just commented on the other thread. But also thought you could call and ask for your HCG to be tested for reassurance? 💕💕 Xx

Ttcpph · 16/08/2024 10:18

@Ella31 you can't compare two totally different tests. See my post just above yours - my easy @ home test at 17dpo isn't much darker than yours

Sorry, I wasn't comparing , I meant to say both look the same as they were two days ago. Hope you are doing well

Ttcpph · 16/08/2024 10:23

@Ella31 give it a couple more days then test again 💕 it's still v early

MisssMarion · 16/08/2024 15:57

@Ella31 I know easier said than done but you need to give it time. 14 dpo is 2 weeks so it's normal for the CB test to say 1-2. You might have ovulated a bit later than you think also, although we know when we get our LH peak we never really know when we ovulated exactly.
I was also surprised to not have a very dark line on the easy@home at 14 dpo, what matters is the line progression rather than the darkness I guess. Could you share it?
And remember these tests aren't quantitative. You need to see what the blood tests say.

I’m not too sure whether he’s red or grey.
i want to say grey, but we had a baby on our garden earlier on and he seemed a little timid😬x

Was these FMU? They seem about right for 14DPO. Go to the doctors and see if they can do a blood test, fingers crossed they can!x

I just had the first blood test result, it was 77 on 12dpo. Second blood was taken today at 14dpo. I'm not confident because the 2-3 weeks indicator needs 153 to turn to that and it's still 1-2 today so I must be under it, which indicates I barely doubled today I reckon.

I was anxious for the past week and yesterday I got the dye stealer which was a temporary relief for me. I will continue testing for 3 more days to see if it stays that way or not. I do it to make myself better. Of course, I know that it will not guarantee a viable pregnancy. Also my nipples started to become sensitive 3 days ago. How have you been ? I hope you are remaining calm and enjoy your pregnancy! x

DonnaWhat · 18/08/2024 16:57

I only have the cheapie tests so no dye stealer for me yet. I'm only 4 weeks pregnant and I'm trying not to obsess over line progression. I've been doing a rest every other day and just relieved to still see 2 lines as I had a chemical at 6 weeks in june. I'll be happy once I get past 6 weeks. This pregnanxy just feels good. I knew something would go wrong with my chemical and I was right, so fingers crossed for my sticky bean.

My boobs were sensitive too from about 4dpo. Good padded bras for work 😆😆 Glad to see you got your dye stealer xx

MisssMarion · 19/08/2024 11:29

@DonnaWhat Thanks for checking in on us.
I'm doing ok, will be 6 weeks on Thursday according to LMP (but a couple days further along according to when I ovulated). That's when my previous pregnancy seemed to have ended so... (I only found out at 8 weeks)
The nausea has really set in now and I'm feeling miserable. So, so exhausted too, and put off by most foods. I vomited for the first time this morning. I don't know how I'm going to work for the next few weeks if it stays the same/gets worse... It already feels worse than my first pregnancy (dd) although I remember being really bad!
And I'm still not really excited, probably still some self preservation until my scan...

You seem to be managing to stay calm, kudos to you! I hope it's a sticky bean ☺️

Gracie1825 · 19/08/2024 20:56

@DonnaWhat I'm 7+2 nausea and fatigue really kicked in the last week. I've a migraine the last 2 days, which I get migraines when pregnant but also now paranoid it means my hormones dropping, although I've still the nausea, sore boops and fatigue, i've a scan Friday so will find out more then.
I hope your still feeling positive, I did similar and tested every 2nd day until I got dye stealer and 3+ on digital. It is reassuring.

@MisssMarion I'm off work for a few weeks and also thinking how will I go back if feel this way, but sure a day at a time, when is your scan?

MisssMarion · 20/08/2024 08:15

@Gracie1825 I haven't booked my private scan yet. I wanted to book it for 8 weeks but I woke up this morning feeling panicked that I was going to loose this one too, so now I'm thinking of doing it next week. The thought of feeling this panic for another 2 weeks is excruciating... I'm contemplating doing another CB digital this morning to see if I still get my 3+ but what if I don't...? The wait is so tough. Pregnancy after loss is no joke.

I never did any CB digital with my pregnancy as was too nervous and couldn't contemplate it. Pregnancy after loss certainly isn't a joke but it definitely can work out so keep the faith until you have a definite reason not to (far easier said than done I know but do challenge those negative thoughts. For every 'what if I lose this one too', try and entertain the flip side... 'what if I don't?!') 💗

Hi Gerald! 👋 I'm no expert but he looks like a grey, I used to live near a red squirrel reserve and they are normally smaller and have tufts of fur on their ears.

Let me know if you try yoga, I really hope you enjoy it 😊

Happy Bank Holiday! How is everyone doing? How's Gerald?

5 weeks today for me, just had my second lot of 48hr bloods. Did a clear blue weeks this morning and I was hoping for a 3 plus but still showing 2-3 🙄 nausea has kicked in and low blood pressure. Just need to get this week out the window as that's when I had my chemical and then I can breathe for a week before I get to my 8th week as that's when I unofficially lost my mmc which I still carried until 12 weeks. Then I can breathe.

Feeling good though albeit rough. 😵‍💫

Happy weekend everyone.

bank holiday weekend has started off good so far, I’ve done a 5 mile walk today, which was pretty nice although my legs are telling me different. Weight loss is going incredible I’ve currently lost 4kg! So definitely on my way to a healthier lifestyle!
Gerald has become VERY brave and came into my house yesterday unannounced, he came in and I almost said to my partner ‘oh fantastic, we don’t only have a squirrel we have a bloody stray cat now’ and I did a double take and it was actually Gerald🐿️🤣

fingers crossed this week goes so quick for you!
when are you due your results back from your bloods?
the anticipation is SO hard isn’t it.

we keep hoping this month is ours and have been saying that every month for like 3 months lol.

I thought it was at the start of this month, as I felt rough, I felt tired, sore boobs, cramping, then I got backache and came in a short time later, which was lovely🙄.

ive definitely been more frisky over the past few days, like I wake up and I want to just have him.

I’ve never EVER felt like that before, I have quite a low libido.. so I don’t know where this frisky was has come from🤣🤣

sore nipples for me yesterday and today, I was meant to be ovulating yesterday, I haven’t had any cramps, just a bit of headache and sore nips!

fingers crossed you feel better soon!!

sending you sticky baby dust! Xxx
