After the lovely Hopingrae had created such a wonderful thread.

I wanted to carry this on, as many more women need that added extra support.

Hope everyone can find some support on this thread x

Pregnancy after loss support | Mumsnet

Hi ladies, I've recently found out I'm pregnant again after 2 losses in a row. I'm very lucky to have a DS and I had another MC before I had him. So 3...

@OnNaturesCourse that's a lovely update! So glad all is looking good! 🥰

DaringlyDizzy · 09/06/2024 17:17

@OnNaturesCourse SO pleased for you!
Also reassuring for me as I am currently measuring a week behind!

warmbutteredtoast · 09/06/2024 17:39

@OnNaturesCourse So pleased to see your update! Lovely news. Also a relief to see yellow discharge can be normal 😅

I've reach a milestone today, 7 weeks pregnant and haven't had any bleeding. Never got here before with no drama, nausea also started today which is encouraging. Scan on Wednesday, will be so so nervous, can't actually imagine seeing a baby with a heartbeat on screen but I'm trying to think positive. Anyone else got first scans this week? Xx

AAW1993 · 09/06/2024 21:44

Hello I’m new here and I am 8 weeks pregnant today. I suffered miscarriages in the past, my most recent one was at 8 weeks. I saw the heartbeat 4 days ago but I just can’t shake the feeling of anxiety and being worried. This thread has really helped.

SnookyPook · 09/06/2024 22:06

@AAW1993 welcome! I'm glad you've found us. You are definitely amongst people who understand. It is so nerve-wracking but hopefully you've seen from some of our stories that we'd had recurring losses too and have had more positive outcomes this time round. I'm currently third trimester after 3 consecutive losses last year. My little one is causing us some anxiety with growth scans etc but hopefully we're on track. Pregnancy after loss is a very different kettle of fish. Feel free to share any hopes/worries/excitements/fears... You're rarely (if ever!) the only one to be going through it! X

Nic2908 · 09/06/2024 22:56

@SnookyPook 3rd trimester 😍😍how are you feeling

SnookyPook · 09/06/2024 23:38

@Nic2908 ah thanks lovely - still struggle to believe it at times! 31wks tomorrow! As I say, the growth scans have caused a bit more stress than I'd have liked at this stage - we have our next one on Friday and depending on the outcome they've said they may want him out as early as 33/34 wks so a lot is up in the air!! Hoping he's piled on some weight. I've seen a couple of similar threads where they've ended up getting to 37wks still so that would obviously be ideal! However, it is nice to be at a stage where he should do pretty well even if he needs to be delivered asap. 31wks is apparently a bit of a golden week and then 34 even more so, where they are likely to catch up any effects of prem birth by around age 2. So just taking it day by day!! 🙏🏼 How are you getting on? 💗 Xx

SunflowerDream · 10/06/2024 10:46

Hi all, I took a week away from MN and google in general, I was freaking myself out and I needed to just chill. I am 10 weeks today, I still haven't had a scan but I have decided that for me personally, an early scan is redundant. I totally understand why other people have their early scans, and why so many of you lovely ladies suggested me going for one to ease some of my anxiety - I appreciate you all!! I am waiting for my 12 week scan which is 2 weeks on Thursday, unless I get any real concerns before then. I am still feeling nauseous and exhausted, I am really hoping this eases soon, getting towards the end of the first trimester now which is daunting as I didn't ever get this far with my previous pregnancy. So lovely to hear of some stories here long into pregnancy after loss, it's so encouraging and a huge support💓

AAW1993 · 10/06/2024 14:55

My symptoms have not been as bad today and yesterday as they were last week. I am 8 weeks pregnant now.
Did this happen with anybody else? Trying to stay off google because it was causing me too much anxiety. xx

Mamaxo · 10/06/2024 15:46

@AAW1993 yeah when I was 8/9 weeks I felt better had a scan at 10 weeks everything was fine I'm now 12 weeks and symptoms are back 😂 xx

I had mine today. 6+4 according to LMP but scan showed me to be maybe just 6 weeks or coming up to as there was sac, yolk and tiny 2/3mm fetal pole but no HB as yet which they said was totally normal as it’s so early. They said they weren’t concerned and I shouldn’t be either. I now have that lovely 2 week wait til the next scan. I’m so glad I’m under the EPU though. I hope yours goes well x

Hello! Congratulations to you! This is a really supportive thread. So glad to have found it x

Mamaxo · 11/06/2024 06:52

I'm abit freaked out, woke up in the middle of the night with pains in my lower stomach towards the right side, I'm 12+3 last time I seen baby was at 10 weeks, google said round ligament pain but I don't know I'm just spiralling now :(

warmbutteredtoast · 11/06/2024 07:40

@Mamaxo Im sorry to hear you're worrying. A good scan at 10 weeks is such a positive sign, and you're right it very probably is round ligament pain. There are so many aches and pains in pregnancy to worry about! I'm also worried this morning as I feel much less sick and bloated. Scan tmw can't come soon enough

Mamaxo · 11/06/2024 07:54

@warmbutteredtoast I sneezed this morning and it was like lightening pain so I do think it's round ligement pain but still so scary. How far along are you? My sickness/symptoms stopped around 8-10 weeks then come back xx

warmbutteredtoast · 11/06/2024 08:38

@Mamaxo I'm only 7+2 so a bit early to stop. I hate the wait!! At least I'll know tmw one way or the other. Yes that really sounds like round ligament pain 👍

Mamaxo · 11/06/2024 08:45

@warmbutteredtoast it's so hard to stay positive ain't it, I had a scan at 7 weeks I went in thinking it was going to be over to see a heartbeat, hope it all goes good for you tomorrow 🤞❤️

LacedBouquet · 11/06/2024 12:12

Hey girlies, I have made it to 5+3 today (the furthest I have ever made it!) :)
Delighted but still trying to be cautiously optimistic.
I find the symptoms come and go and that sometimes makes me a bit nervous. I find I'm only mildly nauseous at the moment after I eat, nothing drastic and sometimes I think it is in my head... eek!
When did your nausea start for those who are further ahead? Or did any of you just have mild nausea the whole time?

SnookyPook · 11/06/2024 13:50

@LacedBouquet aw congrats on passing your milestone! With my son nausea kicked in around 7wks. Current pregnancy, I never got any. Fingers crossed all keeps going well for you this time 🥰

@Mamaxo it does sound like round ligament pain. It's horrid how the anxiety ramps up again when a scan is looming. 💕

@warmbutteredtoast very normal for them to come and go. Hopefully all fine. Good luck for tomorrow 🙏🏼💕

OnNaturesCourse · 11/06/2024 14:13

@Mamaxo it does sound like ligament pain, sneezing is agony for seconds for me. I had it with my first when I was even rolling over in bed. Ended up on crutches with that one cos I had PGP too. Pregnancy is glorious haha.

As for symptoms, mine faded around 8 weeks I think then came back with a VENGEANCE for a few weeks. I'm now 12+4 and for the past two days it's been easy going with just minimum gagging and nausea.

Got to listen to baby heartbeat last night as well. I sobbed.

DaringlyDizzy · 11/06/2024 14:27

Feel panicked and numb. EPU discharged Sunday as all well and bleeding stopped. Yesterday cramps started. Today bleeding. Passed some stringy tissue. EPU will see me tomorrow. Feel shattered. Cant take anymore losses

Thank you for the reassurance! It's great to know that it can be totally normal not to have any nausea. And thank you, praying this is my time 🙏

SnookyPook · 11/06/2024 17:29

@DaringlyDizzy so sorry you're going through this. What gestation are you now? I had a bleed with small clots a couple of weeks after my 12wk scan and was terrified. Scan at 14wks showed baby was fine. Still don't know what caused the bleed. Everything crossed for you that little one is still ok in there 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Nearly 8 weeks. Ectopic was in March at 5 weeks.
I HATE this anxiety. I would take any physical symptom over the mental ones
