After the lovely Hopingrae had created such a wonderful thread.

I wanted to carry this on, as many more women need that added extra support.

Hope everyone can find some support on this thread x

Pregnancy after loss support | Mumsnet

Hi ladies, I've recently found out I'm pregnant again after 2 losses in a row. I'm very lucky to have a DS and I had another MC before I had him. So 3...

@DaringlyDizzy that's great news! 🥰

OnNaturesCourse · 27/05/2024 11:53

Anyone else suffering with horrific nausea and boking?

I only find relief when I'm eating, like I need to constantly be snacking or my gag reflex kicks in. It's weird.

Carportforme · 27/05/2024 18:00

I have a bit of every symptom in the book but nothing too overwhelming. So sorry you are feeling so unwell.

Mamaxo · 27/05/2024 18:54

@OnNaturesCourse the sickness of passed for me but I'm so so tired literally no energy at all. Hope you feel better xx

Hopingrae · 27/05/2024 21:25

@OnNaturesCourse how many weeks are you? My nausea was also horrific, lasted until about 14-15 weeks. I'm now 18+1 and it's much better. But I can relate to feeling really sick and only being momentarily relieved by eating something biege! Hopefully it'll pass for you soon.

@SnookyPook how are you doing? I'm joining your club, we found out we're having little boy #2! ❤ have you had your follow up scans yet? Hope everything still progressing ok for your and little one. I've got my 20 week scan 2 weeks tomorrow. Can't believe I'm at this point.
@Sez281 @30somethingttc @bey hope you lovely ladies are all doing ok too and things still moving in the right direction x

@Hopingrae sorry for the delay replying. I've been trying to avoid MN and google etc for the last few weeks as much as possible. Aww congratulations on a little boy 🩵 Hopefully the days fly in for your scan!

I had my 20 week scan yesterday. It went really well. Even though she is breech at the moment the consultant was able to get all of the measurements we needed and everything is looking great. Myself and OH were so emotional 🥹
It was the same consultant I had for my Nipt scan and she was so nice. I had prepared myself for loads of silences and long pauses but she talked us through everything. It was lovely.. I don't think I'll ever stop worrying and this reassurance no doubt will only last for so long but definitely feeling tentatively more hopeful ....and I'm finally at the stage where I can think about buying stuff as I hadn't dared to believe it until now 🥹 🙏

Hope everybody else is doing ok xx

Hey ladies, I’ve just booked an early scan for when I’ll be 7 weeks exactly - has anyone else had a scan around a similar time? I’d ideally have liked it around 8 weeks but the reason for it is because we fly to go on holiday at 7+3 so I’d just like the reassurance it’s all in the right place etc! X

Mamaxo · 28/05/2024 10:28

@mamataylor yeah I've had a scan at 7 weeks you can see bub even though it's tiny, I seen heartbeat to x

That’s reassuring! Thank you ☺️ hope you’re getting on ok x

30somethingttc · 28/05/2024 13:38

Not at all @Hopingrae
thanks for thinking of me.
been having all sorts of pains and spasms which I think isn’t helping, making me worried one of the babies isn’t ok. I promised myself I would only have one private scan between 12/20 but ended up getting one at 14, 16 and booked in on Saturday when I’ll be 18+3 but my husbands been really supportive and just said whatever I need to feel ok. He wants to try and then not have any more private ones which I’m going to try my hardest to do!!!!!
the fear for the 20 week scan is creeping in as we weren’t able to have any testing done so this will be were we might see something come up on the scan!

are you feeling any weird and wonderful pains?

@mamataylor
i had a 7 week scan too and saw heartbeats!

@Sez281
so glad to hear your scan went well! Hope you had a fab time away as well!

@Hopingrae well that depends who you ask lol. My dates say I'm 10w 2d, but the hospital is saying 9w 4 days, and my midwife thinks I work out to be 10w 4d.

😂

I'm glad it passed for you. I had HG in my first pregnancy and it was horrible, I just hope I'm not going in that direction... Thankfully not been sick yet but my stomach aches daily.

Heartbeats? Are you having twins? 🥰😍
thank you for letting me know, that’s definitely reassuring x

SnookyPook · 28/05/2024 16:47

@mamataylor I had a scan at 7+2 and saw a heartbeat even though little man was measuring 6+2. ☺️

Aw that’s positive! Thank you. I was worried I’d go and they wouldn’t see anything! I waited for the 12 week NHS scan it first pregnancy so this is new territory x

DonnaWhat · 28/05/2024 21:31

Hi Ladies, Hope there's room for one more? I got my BFP last Tuesday confirmed on digital. By LMP I'm 5w4d but i think I'm a lot earlier than that. I was tracking ovulation and never saw a spike so I must have got it after i stop testing. I had a confirmed MMC March 18th and 1st proper period 20th April which was also my last one. Thing is, I'm so paranoid. My easy at home tests are that faint, they're almost invisible. The lines have never darkened. Has anyone here experienced the same? Im so anxious. Sticky baby dust to you all.

Pregnancy after loss part 2
SunflowerDream · 29/05/2024 13:28

Hi all, I haven't been on the thread for a while as life has got in the way and I have been feeling terrible!!

I'm 8+2, and feeling extra anxious this week. I started spotting at around 8 weeks with my last pregnancy and baby measured 9+2 when it stopped growing. I still haven't had an early scan, I had one at 6 weeks last time and everything was fine, and there was a heartbeat. Sadly I still had an MC a few weeks later so I don't think I will find any reassurance in an early scan yet. My symptoms have been pretty bad since I found out but this week they have ramped up like crazy, I hardly moved from my bed yesterday. My nausea is through the roof but still haven't actually been sick - hoping it eases soon😭

DonnaWhat · 29/05/2024 13:45

@SunflowerDream I can sympathise with how you're feeling, I'm exactly the same. I'm just so desperate for a sticky baby. I've just started spotting and my heads all over. I just hope it's not history repeating itself. I don't think my heart would cope. The epu here only starts at 6 weeks and I'm not 6 weeks until Saturday. I'm praying this is implantation bleeding. When are you having an early scan? Are you leaving it to the 10 week mark?

SunflowerDream · 29/05/2024 14:14

@DonnaWhat that could definitely be implantation bleeding since you are fairly early on still - try not to think the worst just yet, although I know that is so much easier said than done. Hopefully it stops soon or you can get yourself to the EPU next week - I really hope everything is all okay in there💓.

I am still not sure re early scan, I would say 10 weeks as it will be a bit of a milestone for me, but then my OH says we may as well just wait until our 12 week scan by then... obviously if I have concerns I'll go for a scan but right now I almost don't want to know yet... not sure if that sounds silly.

30somethingttc · 29/05/2024 14:38

@mamataylor
yes! Weirdly before we found out I kept having dreams about us having two babies and said to my husband I was convinced it wouldn’t be just one.

30somethingttc · 29/05/2024 14:39

Doesn’t sound silly at all @SunflowerDream
i felt similar - like it made me feel protected in some way!

Wise0wl · 29/05/2024 15:26

@SunflowerDream I totally get that protective instinct, I think it’s slightly self preservation after loss? I recognise that’s why I haven’t yet told anyone about this pregnancy, if I keep the knowledge of it to me and DH then it weirdly feels safer & I’d feel much more exposed if lots of people know (including if it doesn’t end up going to plan)

SunflowerDream · 29/05/2024 15:58

@30somethingttc @Wise0wl it's reassuring to know I am not the only one who feels like this. I guess I can sort of believe everything is fine and as it should be without knowing. It's hard because I see a lot of women say they go for early scans because they would want to know sooner rather than later if something is wrong, which I do sort of feel as well but at the same time, I don't want to know🙁. At the moment I am waiting for my 12 week scan, but will go for a scan if I have any concerns, it's 4 weeks away now which does still feel like a lifetime away but I'm sure it will come round quickly.

DonnaWhat · 29/05/2024 16:31

@Wise0wl we're the same, just our parents know, and my employer, but that's all that know. I'm scared to get everyone's hopes up when I'm so anxious myself.

@SunflowerDream I'm really trying to stay positive, my missed miscarriage was only in March just gone. I only went for an early scan last time which is when I found out something was wrong because I bled after dtd. He's not been near me this time so I know it's not due to that. I'm just hoping this baby sticks. I phoned EPU and they can't do anything until I'm 6 weeks. My midwife called too this afternoon to book me an earlier appointment and when I told them I was spotting they said they'd leave it for now and ring me next week. 🙄 I've been excessively testing aswell which hasn't helped because my lines have always been faint. I know I ovulated late because I stopped tracking when I went away and I hadn't peaked before then.

mamataylor · 29/05/2024 23:14

30somethingttc · 29/05/2024 14:38
