Thanks for the new thread!

On the whooping cough vaccine- my midwife did mine at my last appointment. That's in Scotland but might be an option for some of you? (The midwife, not Scotland...๐Ÿ˜…)

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 07/05/2024 18:46

@PoppingUp
I'm sure my midwife mentioned that I could have it at the 25 week appt with her!

Thanks for the new thread, @BeautyAndTheBump1!

Oh my goodness, we are such a chatty bunch ๐Ÿ˜‚

RosiePH · 07/05/2024 18:54

@PoppingUp knowing NHS services, some of us might have to travel to Scotland for it ๐Ÿ˜‚

SC126 · 07/05/2024 19:03

Checking in. Glad to hear so many scans went well.

SpicyMoth · 07/05/2024 19:23

So glad everyone's scans went well!!

It must be super reassuring to know that a plan will be underway - Positive vibes and brain hugs being sent you way @MrsM89!

Sorry to hear about hospital woes as well, that sounds absolutely brutal tbh @RosiePH honestly if it were me I'd be taking a full day off, I admire your strength to still go in for a half day!

Demi55 · 07/05/2024 19:24

Hey everyone, Iโ€™m jumping back in, Iโ€™ve got my 20 week scan appointment tomorrow! Super nervous but also excited! Had a tiny bit of bleeding at the weekend so Iโ€™ll mention that tomorrow, Iโ€™m hoping all is well!

tryingfortwo2 · 07/05/2024 19:27

Delighted to hear everyoneโ€™s good news at all the scans today ๐Ÿฅฐโ™ฅ๏ธ

@Lillers my Halara dunagrees arrived today and oh my goodness I am in love! They seem such good quality and I love that theyโ€™re a bit more formal than I was expecting. I got them in the โ€œgrisailleโ€ colour and itโ€™s gorgeous. Iโ€™ve got my eye on the trouser version post-baby! Thank you so much for the recommendation.

Lillers · 07/05/2024 19:31

@tryingfortwo2 Yay, Iโ€™m so glad you like them! I love how easy they are to slip on and off when you need a wee as well. Iโ€™ve got them in black, and am considering one of the brighter colours for the summer (maybe lilac?!)

BadLobster · 07/05/2024 19:32

Glad all the scans went well. Mine is next Tues - canโ€™t wait! We havenโ€™t decided whether weโ€™re finding out the sex or not. Anyone decided not to?

Caroline2023 · 07/05/2024 19:35

Just checking in on the new thread ๐Ÿ˜Š

mrsbgb · 07/05/2024 20:37

I was able to get my whooping cough vaccine at my local drs surgery with a nurses appointment, might be an option for some? Has anyone decided to get a covid booster?

Is anyone else starving all the time at the moment? Not sure if itโ€™s psychological or if baby is having a growth spurt but I feel out of control!

rupertbear91 · 07/05/2024 20:38

Thanks for the new thread!

Cinai · 07/05/2024 20:43

Congrats on the scans, glad to see that it was good news all around!

SantasRubiksCube · 07/05/2024 20:45

Wow thread 7 already! Almost 23 weeks here and starting to notice the pattern of babies movements, usually after food and when I'm comfy in bed ๐Ÿ˜„ not just little flutters either but proper kicks and rolling, I'll probably regret saying this when I'm huge, out of breath and extremely uncomfortable but I can't wait til I can see the movement on the outside, an elbow or foot suddenly poking out ๐Ÿ˜†

Emmaev · 07/05/2024 20:57

Such lovely news about all of the wonderful scans.
23+1 here and baby girl is kicking up an absolute storm. Finally have my first consultant appointment next week also so curious whatโ€™s gonna be said and hopefully it eases all my anxiety

Decaffe · 07/05/2024 20:59

Thanks for the new thread and yay! ๐ŸŽ‰ for all the good scans today! Are we all due around the 19th then?! ๐Ÿ˜

@mrsbgb I have been utterly ravenous for the last four weeks or so, I have had a bit of a growth spurt myself shall we say ๐Ÿ˜…

@BeautyAndTheBump1 thread 14 still sounds so far awayโ€ฆ!

mrsbgb · 07/05/2024 21:03

@SantasRubiksCube I saw my stomach move for the first time when baby was kicking earlier and honestly it freaked me out quite a lot ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Decaffe yes there is that, my own growth spurt is deffo happening too ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lillers · 07/05/2024 21:04

Iโ€™m watching the Eurovision semi final and my cat is unhappy with some of the music (sheโ€™s very judgemental) so she cuddled up to me for comfort. Baby kicked really hard and she must have felt it because she just looked at me like, โ€œWTF was that?!โ€

longingtobe23 · 07/05/2024 21:20

I booked whooping via GP its on Friday but I booked 3 weeks ago. I was being fussy with dates though haha you can have up to 31 I think my letter said so no real rush.

I got new with tags bugaboo apron and hood from vinted as my last were blue so opted for different for baby girl ... got the pram out the loft to check all okay and fits ๐Ÿ˜Š
Fun evening planned ha!

tryingfortwo2 · 07/05/2024 21:53

@mrsbgb i definitely feel hungry lots too! I saw this on Instagram the other day and Iโ€™m not sure how accurate it is (although my midwifeโ€™s chat about where the top of your uterus is at each week does back this up), but the big growth spurt between 20-22 weeks and 24 weeks definitely happened here ๐Ÿ˜…

SpicyMoth · 07/05/2024 22:12

@mrsbgb I was ravenously hungry from about 19 weeks - 22 weeks which roughly matched up to a bump growth spurt if that helps any?
Trying to fill up with a massive glass of milk helped me out a tad bit, it might help you too possibly?
(though tbh I was still constantly hungry even with trying to fill up on milk & other liquids, about 30 minutes after my morning bagel I'd be off making another one... ๐Ÿ™ˆ)

I've just hit 23 weeks and I seem to be going back to somewhat normal levels of hunger for the most part!

cd24x · 07/05/2024 22:14

Thanks for the new thread.

@BadLobster we haven't found out the gender ๐Ÿ’› One of the best bits of DS birth was when they held him up above the curtain and I got to tell DH he was a boy. So hoping for that moment again.

That's hilariously cute! Love that!!
