Xur · 21/04/2024 13:00

@TripleESept24 I can empathise.I had a feeling like stuff I had was sat at my throat last night, it had been long time since I had any feeling of being unwell😩

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 21/04/2024 13:15

Well I feel like I've hit a new low with the HG today!

Had to visit a family member in the car today and decided to go through mcdonalds drive thru on the way home

Husband & DS sat eating mcdonalds in the car...and I'm on my hands and knees outside the car in the middle of the car park throwing up into a sick bag. With everyone sat in their cars watching 🙈 but I didn't want to sit in our car throwing up whilst they're eating their dinner! 😫

I rubbed my bump on the way to the bin in hope people would realise I'm pregnant and that i'm not actually a hungover mess on a Sunday like they'd probably assume 🙈

Kiwi23 · 21/04/2024 13:32

Finally stopped being sick had 2 weeks with no sickness now the day we found out that it was our 4th girl no more sickness still tock a week for nausea to calm down but finally not feeling sick but so tired all time 18 weeks and 5 days with baby no4 and don’t remember being this tired with my other girls

HRP1990 · 21/04/2024 13:39

@BeautyAndTheBump1 what a sight 😂 I hope you felt a little bit better after you got it out of your system!?

HRP1990 · 21/04/2024 13:41

All the nursery talk and vinted buys has got me wanting to get everything out of the loft to see what we’ve got, and to start working on a scheme for the baby 🥹

Throw any ideas my way! We’ll find out what we’re having this week, but in the meantime the spare room is just painted off white - so a lovely
blank canvas to work with 🤌🏻

SC126 · 21/04/2024 14:38

@HRP1990 ive bought sage green paint for the nursery and we are having a boy but it could be unisex I suppose.
Though if I had a girl I think I'd go dusty rose or something a bit more girly.

@BeautyAndTheBump1 oh my goodness you poor thing. It gave me a chuckle but it must have been such a horrible situation for you!

rupertbear91 · 21/04/2024 14:48

@BeautyAndTheBump1 you have my full sympathy car trips are not my friend never mind smelling food too! Hope you are feeling better now.

I have just bought another snow suit off vinted and now promised myself that's the last purchase for a while until I got an email to say my matalan click and collect of baby grows is now in 🤦🏽‍♀️ I need my phone confiscating!

@HRP1990 that's so exciting to plan it from a blank canvas. Our wallpaper arrived last week and we picked our paint colour out this morning I just wish I was well enough to start painting it myself as I am so impatient I hate waiting on others 😂

HRP1990 · 21/04/2024 15:25

@SC126 oh I love green! We’ve used different shades in the living room and my daughters bedroom.

@rupertbear91 we actually finished painting/carpeting the spare room literally a few days before I found out I was pregnant lol. With my daughter we had her room plastered when I was 36 weeks pregnant.. so it makes a change to be so organised this time 😂🫣

I have to say I am hating having an anterior placenta. Baby girl must have moved, every morning for the last week I’ve felt her tapping away and this morning nothing. It’s so hard not to worry. I know she’s still super tiny and movements aren’t consistent until later, plus with the position of my placenta. I just wanna know she’s ok in there, feel like now I’m waiting until 24 weeks and the pregnancy is viable. I don’t want to wish this pregnancy away as it’s my last, but the anxiety this time is intense

I don't know what type of placenta I have as 20 week scan tomorrow but it's been a long time since 12 weeks. I have had very little movement, the odd little tap here and there and then nothing for days. I've stopped buying things until tomorrow and the anxiety is at about 100 for things going wrong. The last time I was pregnant there were no apps and I actually think this is causing me more anxiety. "You may start to feel kicks around now but don't worry if you dont". Bloody hell of course I'm going to!

Hopefully in a few weeks we will be questioning ourselves on why we wanted to be kicked so much when it becomes non stop!!

HRP1990 · 21/04/2024 15:59

@FuppinNora I feel the same as you - I’ve only felt a handful of kicks in weeks, but I can feel the occasional roll.. so I’m thinking I’ve either got an anterior placenta this time, or just a lazy baby!

FuppinNora · 21/04/2024 16:48

@HRP1990 that's also my thinking a lazy baby or very small baby! My DS was small but pretty sure I was feeling him a lot more. Although I was also a lot smaller too 😅

MudandMoet · 21/04/2024 17:40

@HRP1990 the room we're using as the nursery was recently painted in F&B Hardwick White which imo is a green/grey (they advertise it as grey) so I'm leaving it as is and putting the mamas and papas leaf stuff in there because I think it's not a far off match and I want to keep it in a natural colour scheme as much as possible. I'll try and get some nice earthy leaf prints for above the panels. The cot and changing drawer unit will be oak and I've seen a lovely leaf mobile on Etsy. Thanks for the clothes inspo the other day btw! Lovely site.

rupertbear91 · 21/04/2024 18:06

@FuppinNora good luck for the scan tomorrow. I have been so anxious today because I have felt no movement all day I know it happens at this stage but it is so hard to not panic. Just a tiny tap or something today would be great 🤦🏽‍♀️

Lillers · 21/04/2024 18:07

We’re going for yellows in the nursery - we don’t know what we’re having yet but yellow will work well for both.

We’ve agreed on one mustard yellow darker wall, and then I want pale/pastel yellow for the rest of the walls and DH wants bright sunshine yellow, which I think will be too much - it’s a small double room so I think too many bright walls will be a bit overwhelming. Nursery furniture will be white. We’re not sure what colour carpet to go for in there though. Maybe a sandy colour. Off to Pinterest for inspo!

WinsandSam · 21/04/2024 18:10

@FuppinNora it is really scary. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and not sure I've felt anything which worries me! I went for a private scan Friday and all was wonderfully well. Baby is so chilled she didn't move! Was the same on my 12 week scan. So please be reassured that I'm sure everything will be fine.
I constantly think something could be wrong so it's totally normal.
Keep up posted about your scan. I burst out crying as soon as I enter the scan room, they're used to it. If your anxious they check heartbeat super fast for you

Decaffe · 21/04/2024 18:14

We're also going for yellows - baby is a boy but the room faces south and gets the most amazing morning sunlight so we're really going to lean into that - Farrow's Cream for the walls with cream furniture and ochre accessories... that said I am tempted by an animal/jungle themed feature wall....!

Lillers · 21/04/2024 18:19

Ah this one on Pinterest is what I’m thinking (but with pale yellow instead of white on the other walls) and the name on the wall is what we’ll call ours if he’s a boy - it’s fate!

Love that - love the giraffe peeking over into the crib!

SC126 · 21/04/2024 18:24

@MudandMoet oh i love those leaf sheets. I might have to steal this idea.

HRP1990 · 21/04/2024 18:39

Ooof I could definitely be persuaded by the yellow! Ours is west facing so we could do with all the uplifting colours. Our house is pretty neutral but for some reason I want to inject loads of colour or a fun wallpaper into this soon to be nursery!

I love Hardwick white @MudandMoet 🤌🏻 looks great with the leafy sheets too!

You've already got the paint so it's meant to be!

I hope the nursery ends up something like one of these ideas from Pinterest.

I do keep swaying though... there's a gorgeous jungle print I've seen and even a cute mountain one (the Austrian Alps hold a very special place in my heart) but I can't bring myself to go for it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Love those inspo pics. Our cotbed is this cool wood colour. It was used with my eldest and from mamas and papas too and we have the matching drawers still. I'm also currently crocheting this blanket which will match.

Anyone else feeling a bit blue? Had a day where I’ve barely been out of bed. Not eating as just don’t want anything and can’t stop crying. Thinking it’s probably just a down day but having snapped at the husband, he’s keeping his distance.

My hormones are all over the place.

MudandMoet · 21/04/2024 19:24

@SC126 oh that's really gorgeous, definitely thinking along the same lines! How special too to be doing a blanket yourself, that's really cool! 🤍🌿
