@Lillers sending you lots of love, what a horrible fright you must’ve gotten, I can’t imagine the worry. Really hope you and baby get home and get some rest soon, then get some answers tomorrow ♥️

YellowZ · 15/04/2024 22:10

Aw no @Lillers so sorry, what a shock. Hope you are OK and that they figure out the cause of the bleed xx

LSW82 · 15/04/2024 22:15

@Lillers what a fright you must have got! Hopefully you get home soon for a good sleep & get some answers tomorrow, good that little bean is looking happy in there though

GentleCat · 15/04/2024 22:18

@Lillers What a frightening thing. Hope you get answers soon and begin to feel ok mentally again x

FuppinNora · 16/04/2024 03:12

@Lillers hope all will be OK. You must have been so frightened. Hope you got some rest.

Lillers · 16/04/2024 05:54

Thanks for all the messages everyone. I got discharged around 11pm, so I was there for about 7 hours. The bleeding has mostly stopped now but I’ve been told to expect because of how much clotting they saw, it could continue on and off for a couple of days. As long as it isn’t bright red or very heavy I should feel confident that it’s part of what they already saw.

Just completely drained now but feel like I can’t sleep.

The nurse who gave me the anti-D was lovely - she’s 15 weeks pregnant and was asking me for advice about dealing with sickness and work which was really nice and helped keep my mind off the injection (I’m normally fine with injections but that one was quite sore, especially after hours of being prodded about when I was exhausted).

They should call me today to let me know about the scan. Just got to hope that whatever caused the bleeding is something completely normal and not to worry about 🤞

@Lillers sorry to hear what you went through, hope that you manage to get some rest. Hope you get answers soon.

Decaffe · 16/04/2024 07:34

That sounds so scary @Lillers, I’ll be thinking of you today. ❤️

Cinai · 16/04/2024 07:42

So sorry to hear about your scare @Lillers, hope it’s all ok now!

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 16/04/2024 08:20

Oh @Lillers what a frightening time for you! 😫 hopefully today you will find out some more answers - I do know bleeding is very normal and the fact your cervix is closed is a big positive. Sorry to hear you're going through this - hope you manage to get some rest today. Xx

mrsbgb · 16/04/2024 08:46

That sounds so scary @Lillers, I’m pleased you’re home now and hope you can get some rest!

I’m currently waiting at the EPU to have some checks on baby after several days of non stop cramping. I’m sure it’s nothing, but just want to put my mind at rest.

Cinai · 16/04/2024 09:22

Good luck @mrsbgb I had quite a bit of cramping for 3 days in a row, and then it just went. I think it happens sometimes, but good to get it checked out for peace of mind.

What sort of physical activities / exercise is everyone doing? I’m trying for a walk or slow jog a few times per week, and a daily pregnancy workout. I found Pregnancy and Postpartum TV on YouTube a great source.

Kate543 · 16/04/2024 09:46

@Lillers how scary! I’m glad you are home now.

im sat in the waiting room for my 20 weeks scan 😬

cd24x · 16/04/2024 09:46

@Lillers hope you've managed to get some rest. glad baby was ok on the scan, must have been so scary.

Emmaev · 16/04/2024 10:12

I’ve just had my 20 week scan, baby is looking perfect and right on track. My placenta is right in the front, explains why I’ve only just felt movement as opposed to 16 weeks with DD.

Also found out we’re having a GIRL 💖 we’re over the moon. Now best get moving on buying stuff.

Fik88 · 16/04/2024 10:51

@Lillers so sorry you're going through this scary time, looking good though if baby was wiggling around and cervix is closed. Hope you get some answers today and lots of rest. Xx

YellowZ · 16/04/2024 12:30

Glad you're home @Lillers 🤞🏼for no more bleeding, try to rest x

tryingfortwo2 · 16/04/2024 12:31

@Lillers glad you’re home, keep us posted♥️

@mrsbgb hope you got some reassurance and all is okay!

@Cinai we have two big/active dogs so they’ve kept me going with walking, I tend to do the main walk of an hour or so. Saturday’s was 2 hours of a hilly forest walk and I definitely felt it at the bottom of my bump when I got home, so I’ll ease back on that a bit. And running after/carting my toddler around, does that count? 😂 but I was thinking of starting some gentle home exercises like yoga, I think my body would thank me, so I’ll definitely check out your recommendation.

MudandMoet · 16/04/2024 12:34

@Khanga27 ahh another little girl for the group! Congratulations 💕💕💕

@Lillers hope they get you in for that scan today and all is well. Must've been frightening.

I've just got back from my 20 weeks scan (20+6) everything looking just as it should and measuring spot on. Got some lovely pics of baby sucking fingers though she was mostly bent in two with her ankles right above her head! Next appointment at 28 weeks for diabetes test and another scan. Then regular scans after to check baby isn't breech because of my bicornuate uterus.

I asked my consultant if I could be induced early and he said that's perfectly fine and put me down for 39 weeks. Eeek all seems a little more real now! Also had the whooping cough vaccine today.

TripleESept24 · 16/04/2024 12:49

@Lillers hope u r feeling ok today and have caught up on some rest!! 🩷

TripleESept24 · 16/04/2024 13:14

So in my first trimester I had a UTI and had antibiotics for it...... I've been a sufferer of them on and off for many years.....

I have all these symptoms going on at the moment lower back and side pain, feeling nauseous, and the last two nights I had real bad night sweats was waking up drenched and also frequent urination.

I know we have said the lower back and side pain are symptoms others are getting with the stretching but im now getting paranoid I might have another UTI! It's best to get a urine sample to the doctors and check asap right!?

Xur · 16/04/2024 13:34

@TripleESept24 I’ve read that UTIs are quite common to flare up during pregnancy sadly 😭

longingtobe23 · 16/04/2024 14:06

@TripleESept24 yes certainly get it checked lovely! No harm done.

the office building is being craned in as I type… ekk started to feel real they’ll be a new person living in our house.
but as husband is doing that I am making a mood board for the new baby room 😂 trying to keep busy during this long old second trimester!

can't believe I’ve got until end of June for the third 😩😂

Cinai · 16/04/2024 15:01

@TripleESept24 Same with UTIs, mine also flared up in the first trimester. If nothing shows up on the quick test they do, push for the sample to be sent to the lab for analysis. My test didn’t show anything so they didn’t prescribe me antibiotics, but I was in a lot of pain when urinating. I then went to a private GP and they sent sample to the lab (after seeing nothing on the quick test either). Lab test showed that there is indeed a bacteria growing and I got antibiotics…no problems since 🤞

WinsandSam · 16/04/2024 17:07

@Cinai I try and walk each day for 30 mins. Also go to Pilates on a Thursday (have been going for a year.) starting pregnancy yoga tonight, no idea what it'll be like but worth a go
