I noticed the other thread was full and have started a new one.

Lovely to hear of everyone’s 20 week scans. Thanks to those of you who gave me a list of baby essentials, very helpful!

I feel cheated this morning 😫 I had a really vivid dream about work last night and woke up convinced it was Tuesday. Can't believe it's only Monday. Anybody else getting really realistic dreams?

Hi All. I’m due 17th July with first baby and absolutely panicking. I’ve not gained any weight, Infact I’ve lost 1kg. I don’t feel or even look pregnant. Please tell me this is normal 😩

I definitely had very realistic dreams in my first trimester! They seem to have stopped now though thankfully. It can be really scary.

I didn't start gaining weight until about 20 weeks in my first pregnancy (no bump either), and lost c. 2kg in first trimester. All caught up in the end and gained 10-12kg by 9 months! (Which I then also immediately lost again upon giving birth.)

P.S. second pregnancy now, and have already gained way more and have had a bump since 14 weeks ;)

@AnonymousXXIX Thank you! I feel a bit more relaxed, just worrying if I’m not getting bigger that my baby isn’t!

It's only the size of a pomegranate at this stage (according to my app haha). That's pretty easy to hide! Imagine eating a pomegranate 😂I remember at 22 weeks or so I thought something was finally showing and I decided to go to work in a not-baggy-jumper and tell my colleagues (was pandemic, so had not been to office in a while) - and not a single bloody one noticed lol, they were all utterly shocked and surprised (or they were really polite about my 'pandemic weight gain' and brilliant actors).

Anyway you have your scan soon right so they can measure baby then :) Mine measured exactly average that time! And was born on the 90th centile eventually 😅

@AnonymousXXIX Thank you so much! This is what’s worrying me, it actually feels solid at night but I literally look like I’ve just gained a bit of a belly! Being my first baby I’m not sure what to expect and the panic of every little thing is a nightmare

@ExpectantEs awwwww, well we can still be the 6-8th July DD expecting girls haha 😅

Updated list 😁 I am also having trouble seeing black rectangle lines instead of blue/pink/yellow hearts, eek. It seems the rectangle is blue? (The only colour I am not seeing)

Loving the updates - no idea why the hearts aren’t showing for some people, any chance you’re on android instead of iPhone or something like that? I’m seeing several types of pink heart which I’m assuming is dependent on how people have added them.

I’ve moved the list around so it’s in date order so it’s easier for people to see who their due date twins are (and because I’m procrastinating at work).

@AimeeLou84 - I put weight on in the first trimester and so far have spent the second trimester losing it (I assume it’s to do with the amount of crisps I was eating and have since calmed down). My friend lost weight in both her pregnancies and has two healthy boys so I’m trying not to worry too much.

I’ve got a scan tomorrow morning so I’ll update then on baby growth if that helps?

@Morningcoffeeaddict Yes please update! My scan is Wednesday and I’m going out of my mind.

Hey guys, 'Nesting' is this something that happens as a result of hormones/nature or is it a choice that you make when you're getting further along?

My friend that's a bit further along than I am (she's in labour as we speak) said one day she just started to clean more, get rid of items, get the nursery ready & it was all she could think about.

But as I am now, I feel exactly the same and don't have an urge to suddenly 'Nest'.

Anywho just curious if it's like a pregnancy symptom that will come or if I have to motivate myself to do it

Also I just felt the baby kick from the outside like 4 times! 21w2d - but Google said it should be from 24weeks? Does this mean my baby is going to be big/advanced?

I think it's time to invest in maternity bras. My current ones have me in a chokehold. 🤣 literally cannot wear them after 5pm when my stomach has blown up to meet my chest.

@ceruleansky i feel you! Whilst working today the wire has popped out of mine 🤣🤣 might be finally time to go and get measured and admit to myself I’ve already gone up about 2 cup sizes 😅

Oh my, I hope you didn't get hurt! Yeah I've put it off for too long, thought I would only need it in the 3rd trimester and I could just skip to nursing bras.
I wasn't even wearing wired ones(I wfh). It was a regular one with thick cloth straps, no buckle, kinda like a sports bra but non padded, ribbed and comfy. Still hurt.

@ceruleansky - I think most of the maternity ones double as nursing ones anyway. All the ones I’ve seen do anyway so you should be ok. I’ve got a multipack from Seraphine that are really comfy, not particularly flattering but my boobs have got so big I don’t think any bra would manage to be flattering now!

Thanks for the heads up on that! I think I should go try some on this weekend. I don't think anything is flattering anymore but I don't mind. 😭

Anybody got any top tips on maternity swimsuits? I struggle to find swimsuits normally because I have a long body and the need to accommodate the (already massive) bump is compounding the issue 😂

Also if there are any first timers looking for a maternity coat then I definitely recommend one you can baby wear in as well.
