Seems we got to the end of a thread. Not sure if a new one has been set up.

@aussiegirl89 I didn't know Omaprazole was safe. My heart burn is awful at the best of times and it's the only medication that helped me I'm the past.
I'll give this cyclizine a try but I've just woke up from a 12 hour dreamtastic sleep after taking the first! 😆 🤦🏼‍♀️

RobynC28 · 16/03/2024 07:03

I'm so so worried. I've had cramping for the past 3 days which I thought was normal as my ligaments are stretching but last night I noticed some brown discharge which has continued this morning. I'm 11+1 and this is the first time I've had any bleeding. I had a heart beat at 9 week scan so I know the odds are in my favour but I'm honestly sick with worry. Going to call EPU when they open at 9.30.

mrssunshinexxx · 16/03/2024 07:14

Try not to worry about brown blood, that's old. I'm having that most days . It's fresh red blood that would be more alarming @RobynC28

OneSunnyFox · 16/03/2024 09:41

@RobynC28 i hope your ED can reassure you! Fingers crossed it’s all ok for you! Hopefully your next scan is soon too!?

@WickWood I hope they sort out your throat for you, and you managed to keep your dinner down! Sounds really awful!

I hope everyone else is keeping well!

RobynC28 · 16/03/2024 10:10

@mrssunshinexxx @OneSunnyFox
Thanks ladies. A midwife is going to call me back at some point today. My dating scan is next Thursday so not too far away.

Symptoms are worse than ever been sick twice this morning- although maybe this is also my anxiety - I'm often sick when I'm extremely anxious. So I guess that's reassuring if unpleasant!

Hope everyone else is having a better weekend!!

tryforbabynumber2 · 16/03/2024 10:11

Morning ladies ❤️ hope you are all okay. I've got my early dating scan (private) at 11am today! Should be 8 weeks exactly. I'm so nervous!! Xxx

Nic2908 · 16/03/2024 10:12

@tryforbabynumber2 good luck!!

tryforbabynumber2 · 16/03/2024 10:13

@Nic2908 thank you! ❤️

WeightoftheWorld · 16/03/2024 10:42

@RobynC28 I had brown spotting on/off throughout my first trimester with DC2 so had an early scan for that, and all was fine. Hope your scan goes well and that it stops soon.

Aussiegirl Oh no, hope you're soon feeling better, HG is horrendous, I had it in my last two pregnancies. I was on ondansetron with both of those and it was the only thing that reduced the vomiting but I was still off work for three months both times and bed bound for the first two of those etc. utterly horrific. I wasn't offered Xonvea either time until I asked for it this time which is a shame as it's working pretty well for much and I'm so much less sick. Having said that I seem to be getting worse again tbh, I fainted earlier because my blood pressure is so low with the lack of fluid. I'm eating ok and only vomiting 1-2 times a day on average but I just can't hardly stomach drinking. I think I might finally have to take some time off work next week tbh if I'm not feeling a lot better by Monday.

Jacky86 · 16/03/2024 11:15

I had my early scan yesterday and measuring exactly 9 weeks. So lovely to see the little heartbeat ❤️

CluelessInLondon · 16/03/2024 11:36

@RobynC28 Sorry to hear you are feeling anxious about the bleeding, I hope you get some reassurance today. I definitely echo what others have said about brown blood being less something to worry about - could just be some old bleeding from an irritated cervix or similar. I know it's hard not to worry when you see it though.

@tryforbabynumber2 I hope the scan has gone well this morning!

@Jacky86 Lovely news about your scan!

OneSunnyFox · 16/03/2024 12:04

Congrats @Jacky86 ! Lovely news!

RobynC28 · 16/03/2024 12:26

Thanks all!!

Just spoke to a lovely midwife. She basically said as I'd had a scan a couple of weeks ago at 9 weeks when everything was fine she's much less concerned and felt quite reassured but she booked me in on Monday for another scan to check.

I'm so glad I got that private scan - otherwise I'd be completly beside myself as its not stopped yet!

tryforbabynumber2 · 16/03/2024 13:04

Omg what a shock! Congratulations!! Xxx

Eiremogra · 16/03/2024 13:18

Hi all, for anyone opting for the NHS screening tests at 12 weeks - any idea how long it takes for the results to come back?

Wow @tryforbabynumber2 congratulations!! X

mrssunshinexxx · 16/03/2024 13:30

Wow @tryforbabynumber2 two for the price of one 😂 how special

LuxeBiscuit · 16/03/2024 13:48

@tryforbabynumber2 congratulations! I find twin scans so fascinating.

tryforbabynumber2 · 16/03/2024 13:49

Thanks everyone! I am absolutely in shock, cannot believe it xxx

hopingforapeainapod · 16/03/2024 13:52

@tryforbabynumber2 congratulations!! You need to change your username now to try for baby number 2 and 3 😂😂😂

Nic2908 · 16/03/2024 14:18

@tryforbabynumber2 huge congratulations. I don’t know what, but I’m always a little jealous of twin announcements. They are just super special I think.

@RobynC28 sounds like a really sensible midwife and something to look forward to on Monday

CluelessInLondon · 16/03/2024 14:27

@RobynC28 That's great that you've been able to speak to the midwife and get a scan booked - hopefully the bleeding will stop in the meantime and you get to see on Monday that everything is okay. ❤️

Oh wow @tryforbabynumber2, that's a lovely surprise! We haven't had many twins on this thread yet, I think maybe just one other person who knew they were having twins.

@Eiremogra I'm having the combined screening with my 12 week scan - I think it's a few days for results if higher risk and potentially more testing needed, and up to 2 weeks if low risk. I've got mine next Saturday so I'm going to ask how soon I should expect results - think it might be a bit variable by hospital though (as everything seems to be with maternity care!).

Trifficult · 16/03/2024 14:39

@tryforbabynumber2 wow congratulations! I think I'd be terrified if I got that news!
