Don’t feel guilty! Baby takes all the goodness from you - they are fine, it’s just us that suffer! Are you taking a multi vitamin?

I'm taking the pregnancy vitamins? Just had a twix for lunch and it definitely helped the nausea so no regrets!

I've also had to stop my excercise regime over the last week which was quite intense before which I know is not ideal for health.

Hopefully I can make up for it when this nausea stops! At least not drinking must contribute to being a little more healthy!

I'm thinking of booking a private viability scan next week (I'm 8 weeks this Saturday) as I've read the chances of loosing the baby after hearing a heart beat at 8 weeks are very low and didn't want to get my hopes up with earlier tests if they went okay. If it does go well hopefully I'll be able to hear a heart beat and see something on the scan.

We’re doing the same - scan next week at circa 7.5/8 weeks to check for heartbeat ❤️

Jammymare · 21/02/2024 18:47

Found you! Thought it had gone quiet.

@Holl89 congrats on your scan ❤️

nausea and tiredness here, fell asleep on the sofa at 7:30pm last night. Had the same with DD but not until 6/7 weeks

mylittkeitalianhome · 21/02/2024 18:49

I’ve just had an early scan and I’m due 01/10 so I can just about join the club! Morning sickness has been fluctuating the past few days (it started to get better at 9 weeks last time, so hoping that the case this time!)

cm3212 · 21/02/2024 21:30

Ah .. found the new thread! Thank you for creating 😊 hi everyone!

Trifficult · 21/02/2024 21:38

Found you all! I'm due 22.10 I haven't called to book in with midwife yet, anyone else holding off for a minute?

87lulu · 21/02/2024 21:45

Hello all and congratulations ! First scan is schedule on Tuesday next week, will be 8 weeks. First time pregnant with 2nd cycle of IVF . Mixture of excitement and nerves .. 1st scan couldn’t come quick enough just to have some reassurance something is actually still going on in there 🤞🏻

RoseannesMamma · 21/02/2024 21:53

Hello everyone,
Hope you don’t mind me hopping in here, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. Really early and my dates put my due date at 04.11.24 however with my last pregnancy my due date was moved earlier and baby born at 36 weeks so I’m thinking this baby will most likely be an October one xx

gigigig · 21/02/2024 21:53

Can I join in?

Very new but due 29 October in theory. Can't stop worrying atm!

I'm holding off at the moment. Only found out at the weekend I am due 21st ish. I have no symptoms and I am not overly anxious etc but with my first I waited til 6/7 weeks to book in. Plus I have an incredibly busy 2 weeks at work so that's a good distraction from any anxiety. Also last time it was Covid so all my appointments were over the phone so I suppose different now

mumsince2021 · 21/02/2024 22:30

@Scarftown same I am waiting until 6-7 weeks before registering. Mostly due to multiple losses at the 5-6 weeks stage so I just feels it's not real or safe until I pass that. Only 4+2 just now so it's going to be a looong couple of weeks!

Nervous764367 · 21/02/2024 22:32

hi! Congrats everyone.

I’m also feeling cautious. I have my booking appt next week when I’ll be 8 weeks. Can’t decide if I should have an early scan or not? It’s all very nerve wracking after past losses.

Mitsky · 21/02/2024 23:01

I’m meant to be going to Asia with work in two weeks and I’m really torn about what to do.

I’m on daily heparin injections now so I’m slightly nervous about travelling with needles. My previous losses have been around the 6/7 week mark which would be when I’m away.

but on the plus side, get to see a new country, a loss could happy anyway so why would I limit myself. Argh it’s impossible!

mrssunshinexxx · 22/02/2024 03:36

Hi ladies
I am pregnant with a very surprise 3rd and it's taking some getting my head around tbh
4+4 I think no symptoms other than I just feel pregnant
Sleep is crap here not helped my ill children but once they wake me with coughing I just cannot get back off and end up doom scrolling which I know is the worst thing.
I have 2 girls who are 2 and 3. X

Jammymare · 22/02/2024 05:38

So my period is officially a day late which is reassuring! It was a bit bizarre finding out so early this time almost didn’t seem real.
@Scarftown in my area you just fill out a form online and they call you back at around 6 weeks to book you in for 8 weeks or so.

Bee49 · 22/02/2024 05:58

@Mitsky I take weekly injections for my arthritis and have regularly travelled with needles. It’s never been an issue! I have a letter from my consultant but usually they’re not even picked up on the X-ray.

Oct24 · 22/02/2024 09:38

I called my dr today and booked in to see her tomorrow. I admit defeat and need some help with the nausea. Been heaving none stop for 2 days now and it's just getting progressively worse. I never felt this bad with my son. Also asked for a quick scan as well. May as well have a check in while I'm there. Hopefully it'll easy my anxiety a little.

CluelessInLondon · 22/02/2024 09:55

@Holl89 That's great news about your scan - and especially that they were able to see so much abdominally, sometimes you can hardly see anything without a TV scan.

@mylittkeitalianhome @87lulu @RoseannesMamma @gigigig @Nervous764367 Welcome and congratulations to all of you! 😊@Nervous764367 If you think an early scan would help you then around the 8 week mark is quite a good time to get it as you should be able to get a good look at the embryo and see a heartbeat - I know some people prefer to just assume everything is fine until they get to the dating scan so it depends what works for you. I find having early scans helpful as even though you end up worrying in between, I'd rather know sooner than later if something is wrong.

@Mitsky If you are feeling well enough then I would definitely go on the trip, and lots of people travel with needles so as long as you've got a doctor's note you should be fine with them.

@Oct24 Hope you get some help from your doctor with the nausea - that must be horrible to feel sick all the time. Mine isn't too bad and comes and goes, but when it hits hard I can't do anything apart from lie down!

Oct24 · 22/02/2024 09:58

@CluelessInLondon I've been in bed all day. Can't go on like this! Still need to live my life. Praying the dr has a magic tablet for me!

How far along are you now? How are you feeling other than the nausea?

CluelessInLondon · 22/02/2024 10:16

@Oct24 I'm 8+1 today - was panicking a bit yesterday about some slightly odd discharge but it seems to have pretty much stopped now so I'm going to assume it was just one of those weird hormonal things in early pregnancy! I haven't had really significant symptoms - the biggies have been nausea on and off, sore boobs and feeling tired. I should probably be grateful as it means I can still function normally, but there's always that niggling doubt that maybe not having a lot of symptoms is a bad sign. I started to miscarry last time at 8+5 so the next week or so feels really significant for me - if I get through that and my next scan on the 1st looks okay then I might actually start to feel more confident that this is really happening!

Oct24 · 22/02/2024 10:24

@CluelessInLondon Sorry to hear about the odd discharge but so glad it's stopped. Can only imagine your worry. Fingers crossed for your scan on the 1st and that everything is on track. The anxiety kills me. So sorry about your previous loss. I've had chemical pregnancies. I know not the same. A loss really does steal the joy out of these early weeks.

I'm 6+1 today. I had a very early scan at 5+3 and we heard the heartbeat but it hasn't eased my mind at all. I feel like I need to pass that magic 10 week mark and get my NIPT results before I start to allow myself to believe there is a baby at the end of this.

RoseannesMamma · 22/02/2024 11:44

Thank you for the welcome! This is my second pregnancy, I have a little girl who is 2 in May. I had severe hyperemesis in my pregnancy with her so anything sickness related feel free to ask!

Holl89 · 22/02/2024 13:17

Thank you @CluelessInLondon 💗💗

Is anyone on progesterone?
I got put on it after my early scan yesterday because I’ve had 2 miscarriages
but I don’t think I have low progesterone (I’ve only had the blood test for it once before) and don’t have bleeding or anything! I think I’ve done too much research and wondering / worried if I should even be taking it 😅

GiantRoadPuzzle · 22/02/2024 13:24

Sneaking in here too, although may end up jumping to November.

Just found out I’m pregnant with number 2, after coming off the pill 10 months ago and 6-7 cycles. Due date is looking like 30 October but DC1 was two weeks later and induced.

There will be nearly 4 years age gap if all goes to plan. More than we’d have liked, but not much we can do.

I forgot how nerve wracking and terrifying this early stage is.

That’s interesting. When I went to get my heparin yesterday I asked the dr if I should be on progesterone and he said no, only if I start bleeding.
