@SnookyPook brilliant to hear your positive news and that you’ve got past the milestones of your previous losses. It’s just amazing thinking of a little one in there with a heartbeat isn’t it. And glad there’s an action plan, with the progesterone pessaries and another scan. Hope you get on ok with the pessaries. I’ve been on them since 4 weeks and have found them mostly fine, it’s just a bit of a weird sensation having gloopy stuff come out of you (had me rushing to check for bleeding the first few days!) and they’ve also made me pretty constipated. All absolutely worth it to help our little ones along! Thanks so much for updating ❤️

Brookes19 · 03/01/2024 19:23

Hi ladies, I have just stumbled accross this thread. I am 6 weeks today with baby number 3 with barely any symptoms. It's reassuring to see others have very few too. Finding the wait for a scan painfully long and keep toying with booking an early scan even though this is baby number 3 and I've usually been able to wait!

CharTT33 · 03/01/2024 19:25

@SnookyPook IM BUZZZZZZING FOR YOU!!!!!!!! Honestly I kept checking the thread to see if you had updated! I’m buzzing! I totally understand how you feel honestly! You deserve a break! Thanks for the updated regarding symptoms too as this applies to me… I’ve had lots of intermittent cramping today, my booking appt and scan can’t come quick enough! Xxxx

SnookyPook · 03/01/2024 19:32

@SunSparkle next one scheduled for 17th Jan when I should be 10wks. I am feeling more cautiously optimistic than I've allowed myself up to this point, but still very conscious of it being early days. 🙏🏼💕

@graceinc22 thanks so much for the info re pessaries. I had a feeling they might entail some delightful gloop so will buy some panty liners tomorrow!! Yeah as you say, a bit of minor discomfort is worth it if it ensures a healthy pregnancy 🤞🏻

@CharTT33 aw thanks 🥰 Will be thinking of you Friday. I'm sure all will be fine 💕 one month of trimester 1 to go... We can do this!!

CharTT33 · 03/01/2024 19:53

@SnookyPook ❤️❤️❤️❤️

CharTT33 · 03/01/2024 19:54

@Brookes19 yea the wait for scans are horrendous! 😂🥺🥺🥺

Brookes19 · 03/01/2024 19:57

@CharTT33 every day feels like a week doesn't it 😅 I've just had my booking appointment through and I will be bang on 10 weeks which makes me think the scan will be later than 12

CharTT33 · 03/01/2024 20:01

Every day feels like it’s just dragging… it’s slow and my partner doesn’t feel the same which is super annoying. I just put it down to the fact that it’s not him actually living it, sometimes I get really snappy with him because he says things like try and enjoy the process, trust the process etc and I’m like the process has let me down 3 times before why would I trust it! Looooool honestly he’s trying but mateeeeeee 😂

Hey. Nice to see lack of symptoms isn't a red flag! I'm 6 weeks now. Id spotting at 4 weeks which midwife thinks was implantation bleeding cos was so light. The past week I've had very mildly tender breasts but today they feel ok, this has me so worried as I had MMC before and I knew I miscarried cos my symptoms suddenly stopped. I woke today and breast tenderness is better but I've awful metallic taste in my mouth, nausea and dizzy spells so I'm hoping these have taken over. I've early scan next week so praying for good news. The waiting and the unknown is so hard.

SnookyPook · 03/01/2024 20:27

@Brookes19 haha yeah with you on the every day feels like a week. Sometimes I check my PreMom app several times a day - not sire what I think that will achieve... hoping it will have magically moved on a few days 😂

@CharTT33 oh bless him, he sounds like my fella. I'm sometimes a bit jealous of how painless this process is for them. None of it hits them the same does it. Obviously not in a physical sense, but not mentally either.

@FriedSmartie that all sounds hopeful. Great that you've got your early scan booked in. I was both longing for and dreading mine simultaneously. As you've seen, there are a few of us who've had previous losses (including MMC) so very much get where you're coming from. Everything crossed for you that this one will be your rainbow xxx

CharTT33 · 03/01/2024 21:34

@SnookyPook 😂😂😂 I know!

SnookyPook · 03/01/2024 19:02

@SunSparkle @graceinc22 @CharTT33 thank you so much! Happy to report that there is a healthy looking pregnancy still and a good heartbeat 💕 So relieved. They couldn't find any obvious cause for the spotting but they've prescribed progesterone pessaries due to my loss history too so I'll start those this eve. Still measuring a week behind my dates (so currently 8wks rather than 9) but given the consistent growth since last scan and the likelihood for late ovulation/implantation, they seemed perfectly happy. I've now officially passed the gestation that all 3 losses had reached so that feels like a positive milestone. They've booked me for another scan in a couple of weeks so that will hopefully tide me over until the 12wk scan. I was absolutely convinced today that it would be bad news so now readjusting to some renewed hope. 💕

For anyone worrying about lack of symptoms, I still have nothing really aside from achey boobs and gassiness. No vomiting and not even nausea this time (which I had with my DS). Bit more fatigued but also nothing like my previous pregnancy. However, scanwise all is looking great. So definitely a reminder that lack of symptoms doesn't have to be a bad thing! Just wishing I could be less anxious so I could enjoy it more!!! Seems a waste of an easy first trimester!!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Xx

Such a lovely read, so glad everything went well with your scan 🙏🏻

@Brookes19 I am also 6 (and a half) weeks with my 3rd!

LottieW93 · 04/01/2024 11:32

@SnookyPook just reading through and so happy with your positive news!! ❤️🙏🏽
I totally agree with the anxiety and lack of symptoms! Funny how we absolutely want the sickness and everything else when you’re in this position ❤️

dg3131 · 04/01/2024 15:13

Hi , hope everyone's doing well. Just found the part 2 thread 😂 got my scan through for 15th jan, I'll be 11+5 so seems a bit early
But I'm not complaining. Feel like im finally reaching the first milestone. I'm also ready to get some energy back. Trying to stay active but have to physically force myself for a walk or the gym, and pretty much need a nap most days 🫣 hoping second trimester brings the energy 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Alim0 · 04/01/2024 18:12

I'm 7+2 today and seem to be getting a bit of all the symptoms this week 😩.

From week 4 I just had sore boobs and a little bit of cramping then not alot for the next few weeks. But now I've got nausea, sore boobs that have doubled in size, I'm knackered as I'm up 3 times in the night to pee, headaches, bloated and the worst thing of all.. I've gone off tea and chocolate!

CharTT33 · 05/01/2024 14:37

Hey ladies,

Ive had my scan 9 weeks 4 days I even got to see baby move and a healthy heart beat, again I burst into tears at the very sight of my little bubba… 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 what a milestone I’m sooooo happy right now just need to enjoy this reassuring moment right now even though I’ve got mild cramping 🙃🙃… 🫣🫣🤣

SnookyPook · 05/01/2024 14:39

FluffyKitty007 · 05/01/2024 17:55

@dg3131 i know what you mean, I hardly leave my bed and I was hoping to keep going to the gym. I hope it’ll get better!

Samlou27 · 05/01/2024 19:11

Hey guys! I’m a first time mum and will be 9 weeks tomorrow!
Still haven’t had my booking appointment with the midwife (it’s next week) and don’t know when my 12 week scan will be yet. I did have a private early reassurance scan at 6w5d so know everything was progressing well then.
I have horrible nausea and fatigue and feel so lucky that I only work part time at the moment!
Also I’m so bloated and don’t fit in barely any of my clothes but too small for any maternity bits.
I am super excited to be on this journey and look forward to sharing things with you all as we progress with our pregnancies!

90Frankie · 06/01/2024 11:02

Hey Everyone, newbie here 😫I hope everyone is feeling as well as possible!

By my calculations lmp and I was tracking ovulation I should be due 26th August!

I'm 33 and this will be my first. It has been a rocky start so far where I had 5 days of brown bleeding on wiping from 5+4 along with some left sided pain. This led to a referral to EPU from GP at 6+2. I was convinced it had ended there or was ectopic. To my surprise when I was scanned there was the yolk sac and when they did TV scan she found fetal pole and showed us the heartbeat. She found it difficult to keep on screen for us to see as any slight movement from me it would go off. She told me it measured 5+2 which is a whole week off my dates. When I then spoke with the doctor who did not seem concerned by dates although I mentioned I was tracking and had BFP at 9dpo. She said measuring is so small at that point and 1mm makes a few days difference. She did however book another appointment for the 17th as she said although heartbeat seen it was not recorded. Honestly the doctor was smiling and seemed happy but after 5 days bleeding plus the measurements I'm finding it hard to calm my anxiety. I feel like I am on borrowed time. I did ovulate on day 16 so I understand that can account for 2 days but with coming and going symptoms (last 2 days boobs not that sore) I can't shake the nerves.

Combined with all of this I start a new job on Monday and I will have to tell them I'm pregnant due to the nature of my job (I work with radiation). I did actually try to withdraw my notice and stay at my current job to avoid starting a new job pregnant but they wouldn't allow it. So I'm incredibly anxious about telling them but also telling them I need time for an appointment on the 17th because I don't know whether things will be continuing!

Sorry for the long post 😬 very nervous first timer hoping for some support from people who may have experienced similar !

CaribouCarafe · 06/01/2024 12:47

Hi guys, hope it's ok to join! I'm 9w5d, estimated due date 6th August. Had some pretty horrible nausea on week 6 which has mostly subsided. Main symptoms are tiredness, needing to pee all the time, some food aversions/cravings, and ridiculous nipples (they poke through bras!).

Had my booking appointment at 8 weeks which was more thorough than I was expecting, and an early scan at 8w4d that went really well (saw the heartbeat, although baby looked more like a gummy bear than a human).

Is anyone else finding bras difficult at the moment? I can't stand anything on my chest, but due to aforementioned spiky nipples really do need to cover up 😩

@90Frankie sorry to hear you've had such a rough start to your pregnancy, if the doctor didn't seem concerned then that sounds like a promising start, especially if a heartbeat was seen! Got my fingers crossed for you 💐

CharTT33 · 06/01/2024 13:02

Hey guys,

so an updated I’ve had the results from
my bloods at my booking appointment and I’ve just found out that both myself and my partner are carriers of a blood disorder called sickle cell trait… this means that our baby has a 1 in 4 chance of having the full blown sickle cell disease. Distraught isn’t the word! Im not going to undergo CVS testing… has anyone ever had this or heard this at all?

Thanks guys honestly one thing after the other! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

CharTT33 · 06/01/2024 13:03

Typo: I’m NOW going to undergo the CVS TESTING
