Sweet to read about all of the cats! I have a dog and I don't know if he hasn't noticed I am pregnant or just really doesn't care 😂

@tulipsunday look up the spinning baby inversions and hip opening stretches and get doing them 😂 tbh the sofa inversion is quite fun and actually takes the pressure off my hips for a bit! 30 seconds or so!

Hope baby turns for you!
What sort of dog do you have?

I love dogs but my sister has 3 and they're stinky little non behaving rats! So it's def put me off ever having one of my own! Bit like other people's kids 😂😂😂

tulipsunday · 30/11/2023 10:34

Yes they are the ones she recommended @suz2285 so I will get practising!

I have a cocker spaniel who is lovely (though I may be biased 😂) he is v good with my son so hopefully will take to the baby well. He loves the weaning stage.. food all over the floor that he can steal!

@tulipsunday good news! Hope they work for you!

Haha spaniels are amazing! Love both springers and cockers, def better than the hairy smelly rat variety 😂😂

TheBirdintheCave · 30/11/2023 10:50

@Brokenpancreas94 My husband is also a 6'5" giant. I am 5'3" 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 30/11/2023 11:23

@tulipsunday our daughter is very tall for her age too, one of the tallest in her year at school haha, so can imagine how tall baby boy is going to be!

We have a saluki x greyhound, she's good with my daughter but she can get jealous so we are a bit anxious. We don't think she will ever hurt anyone but yeah! I think she thinks she's a human child at times 😂

@TheBirdintheCave giants aren't they 😂

suz2285 · 30/11/2023 12:57

Very interested to see how tall all these babies are! I've been told a few times that mine may be long 😂 and we're not as big as you guys, 5ft 6 and almost 6ft here! Baby was measuring long from the beginning and def seems to have long legs if the kicks are anything to go by!

Also my sister in law is tall and her kids were both long when born also!

tulipsunday · 30/11/2023 16:49

We sadly don't have long legs in our family. My 3 year old is on the small side- his 2 year old cousin is taller than him 😂

@Brokenpancreas94 aw saluki greyhound x sounds a very elegant dog. I like the idea of getting one like that one day. In the meantime I have the crazy cocker to deal with 😂

I'm 5ft 10 and have a tall family - tallest brother is 6ft 9 so it's not surprising that my 3.5 year old is tall for his age. When he was born I asked if they get measured and was told it wasn't a thing anymore.

TheBirdintheCave · 30/11/2023 22:00

@SparkleFly Really? They measured my three year old at birth. He was 55cm long (91st centile).

He's just over a metre now and his birthday was last Friday which I think makes him 95th centile 😂

SparkleFly · 01/12/2023 08:34

@TheBirdintheCave I think it depends where you live, they don't measure bump here either.

Brokenpancreas94 · 02/12/2023 14:50

@tulipsunday I can assure you she's not elegant haha, she's as daft as a brush haha but she's so loving.

My 7 year old wasn't measured at birth either, that was in London. I'm up north now, so will be interesting to see if they measure here. @TheBirdintheCave @SparkleFly

My groin/hip on the left side is so sore lately

tulipsunday · 02/12/2023 22:36

@Brokenpancreas94 aw bless her 😂
I definitely get the hip pain at night. Rib pain more in the day. My husband has returned from a day out with his friend totally drunk and currently asleep on the sofa. To be fair this is rare for him. At least I get the bed to myself to stretch out.. silver lining!

suz2285 · 03/12/2023 09:51

@tulipsunday DH has his work night out on the 15th dec so no doubt I'll be on pick up duty 🙈 he never sleeps on the sofa though so I'll be getting no sleep... least I'll be finished work by then so I can just chill all weekend!

Interesting how many people don't have the babies measured! Do they just do weight? I don't know what they do here tbh! I've heard of everyone telling me their babies length but not sure if they still do that or not!

Hey ladies,

can I join your thread?

I’m 6 weeks pregnant after 5 previous miscarriages, scan is on Wednesday and im so anxious I can’t sleep.

I’ve not got very strong symptoms so preparing for the worst on Wednesday. I think it’s another mmc x

@tulipsunday I have resorted to sleeping in daughter's bed now as her mattress is firmer than ours and it seems to help a tiny bit!

@suz2285 to be fair, I wasn't awake when she was born, so I have no idea if they actually measured her, but I am pretty certain they didn't, but it was such a long time ago! I will ask the midwife on the 12th...if I remember haha!

Welcome @Hoping4amiracle really hope it is good news for you on Wednesday. Seeing as you have had so many MC have they done any tests on you? X

suz2285 · 03/12/2023 18:52

@Brokenpancreas94 fair point 😂 I should ask my mum if they measure them at her hospital!

@Hoping4amiracle welcome and everything crossed for your scan 🤞

I just spent the afternoon at a random pregnant ladies house after connecting online, with her and another lady, both lovely, lots of chat, cake and cups of tea! Hopefully I'll be able to keep in touch! That's me met a good few other ladies now and all have been lovely!

Brokenpancreas94 · 03/12/2023 18:58

@suz2285 you've done really well in regards to meeting other pregnant ladies haha! Is that from the peanut app or just met them in general?

Hoping4amiracle · 03/12/2023 18:59

Hi,

Yea had everything we could think of tested - i have PCOS but ovulate regularly. On a protocol of progesterone and aspirin but been on that for the last two miscarriages so not overly hopeful.

Everyone says ‘it’ll happen…’ but in the back of your mind you know there are women it didn’t happen for so the fear of never having a family weighs heavier with each loss. It is nice of read your positive messages though - it gives a bit of comfort.

Will keep the thread updated with scan result Wednesday x

suz2285 · 04/12/2023 07:10

@Brokenpancreas94 yeah mostly from peanut, a couple from in real life classes/coffee things and I've now got the antenatal class on a what's app tho none of us have met cos it's still online but hoping to maybe meet a few after/around Xmas since they're all nearby!

I've got a mega busy/stressy week this week and then next week should be a bit quieter and then that's me done! Just hoping to get though this week without too much stress 🙈😂 gonna try real hard not to get wound up as I really need to just make it to the end now!

tulipsunday · 04/12/2023 09:25

@suz2285 that's really good you have been proactive and met some nice people. Will really help the days to go quicker. Same - two weeks left of work 😬 Will have a little bit of admin to do after that but if I can get all my main work done by then I will be happy (am self-employed). xx
