@Brokenpancreas94 Eesh I remember those from when I was a child 😱

@GeographyTeacher Welcome! Geog was one of my fav subjects at school 😅 The only tip I have is taking it one day at a time. Make your days as busy as possible so you have less time to dwell.

SparkleFly · 26/11/2023 20:54

Hi @faithinpregnancy21 I'm on progesterone as been having IVF. All I can say is that yes I've had 2 missed miscarriages on progesterone, either side of a healthy pregnancy. Currently pregnant again and 18 weeks and all good so far. So my experience is of having missed miscarriages rather than having had any bleeding. BUT try not to let those thoughts take over (trust me, I know this is easier said than done!!). Good luck, hopefully this will work out for you. x

SparkleFly · 26/11/2023 21:01

@GeographyTeacher welcome, I think we all know how you feel! The first trimester is definitely the hardest but I'm finding it slightly easier now at 18 weeks. Helps a lot to be so busy in the run-up to Xmas and having lots of things planned to break up the time. Look after yourself and we'll all cross our fingers for you. x

CatLadyH · 26/11/2023 21:03

Hi hope it’s ok to join this thread. Had an early MC at the start of June, really didn’t process it until a good few months later. Had a lot of stress in personal/ family life but in much more positive place. Tested this evening as been away over the weekend AF is late and got a BFP! Delighted but very anxious, just want to get further than we did before and I’ll hopefully be able to relax a bit more 💖

Nushyboots · 26/11/2023 21:04

@GeographyTeacher hi! Congratulations!!! i definately feel the same way - like the oblivious feeling that pregnancy will be fine has been robbed forever…i had a missed miscarriage At 8 weeks on march and currently 15 weeks with another surprise. Honestly I just have to tell myself daily to be calm and just take it day by day. I feel a teensy bit disconnected as still anxious of another loss but as time is going on its getting easier ( although checking tissue after loo hasnt gone away 🫣) but you’re with ladies who have all been through it xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/11/2023 21:43

Welcome and congratulations @CatLadyH ❤️ wishing you lots of luck ❤️

Ladies in third trimester think it's just @suz2285 @tulipsunday and possibly @WhiteHorse92 ?? When you sneeze does it hurt or feel weird in your chest kind of? I can't explain it 😂 don't know if it's because my lungs can't fully expand properly or something I've no idea 🤷‍♀️

faithinpregnancy21 · 26/11/2023 21:46

Congratulations on your current pregnancy, I hope all continues to go well. My biggest fear is now a missed miscarriage, did you find out at your scan? I have mine in a couple of weeks, hoping I make it that far. I think I’m just expecting the worst outcome as that’s what I’ve been use to, I don’t want to get my hopes up.

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 07:36

@CatLadyH welcome! And congratulations, everything crossed for you 🤞

@Nushyboots I'm still checking the tissue after the loo at 33 weeks! And every time I don't feel him move for like 10 mins I panic 🙈

@Brokenpancreas94 honestly every movement feels weird right now! Some days my ribs feel weird, sometimes it's my legs, sometimes the top of my stomach, I think everything is 'normal' at this point tbh! I was in so much pain after sitting for hours the other day with babies butt in my ribs that I genuinely felt like I was having a contraction! It was so uncomfortable!
My lungs are def smaller, I'm snoring, breathing heavy and getting random rib pain!

@faithinpregnancy21 is it your 12 week scan in a couple of weeks?
Lots of us had early private scans but some people prefer not to have them, I had two before my 12 week scan, one at 6+5 after some bleeding and then one at 9 weeks... but even then I was still worried about my 12 week scan! And my 20 week tbh!!

WhiteHorse92 · 27/11/2023 09:01

@Brokenpancreas94 I haven't experienced pain with sneezing but maybe depends on position of baby? And my baby feels in a different position every day 🤣. Mostly she feels low down and pressing on my bladder constantly, sometimes her bum sticks out at one side, now she's starting to get her feet under my ribs 😂. I convinced myself the other day she'd gone from head down to transverse 🤣🤣

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 10:25

@WhiteHorse92 I was convinced mine had gone transverse again last week but he's still head down! It just feels like limbs and back and butt is everywhere and I was struggling to figure out how it was possible! 😂

WhiteHorse92 · 27/11/2023 11:16

@suz2285 I know right! I don't know how on Earth they fit in there sometimes 😅. I had a hard round thing sticking out both sides of my bump and wondered if one was head and one was bum 🤣.

sweetpotato29 · 27/11/2023 11:40

Hey all, I had my 20 week scan this morning 😱 me and my husband were so nervous, we've been like this before every scan. I think because I hadn't felt them move yet it was throwing me off and I was feeling so anxious/sad about that. But as has been the case for every scan this pregnancy, all was absolutely fine 💞 very wriggly little baby! Everything measuring as it should, everything looked healthy and normal. What a relief! I feel like I can take a breath finally and relax.

She said I've got an anterior placenta which is why I haven't been able to feel them move yet, but hopefully should in around 4 weeks. They had their little hands up by their face for most of it, it was so lovely to see them moving around again. I feel on cloud 9 and we are off on holiday on Friday, yippee! Love to you all xx

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 11:47

@WhiteHorse92 I'm constantly wondering how he's fitting in there now! 😂

@sweetpotato29 that's such great news yey! So glad! Where are you off to on holiday? Hope you have a fab time! X

WhiteHorse92 · 27/11/2023 11:53

@sweetpotato29 lovely news! I could definitely relax a bit more after my 20 week scan. Yeah it's probably the anterior placenta stopping you feel baby movements. You're officially half way now too 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 27/11/2023 12:33

@sweetpotato29 That's amazing :D Mine is in three weeks bit earlier than 20 weeks though as that falls on Christmas day.

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 12:43

@TheBirdintheCave that's good they are doing it before Christmas

Is Everyone ready for Christmas? I think I'm good but I've got 3 weeks left of work to focus on and then from 18th dec I'm off, so that'll be my time to chill, do last min prep etc! Then off to my folks over Christmas and then anytime after that is baby time

It's all getting a bit real now! Getting scared about birth and any issues around birth, tying to remind myself there's a 90+ percent chance all will be absolutely fine 🤞🙈

sweetpotato29 · 27/11/2023 13:46

Thanks all 😊 I do love positive scan days as it breaks up the anxiety nicely.

@suz2285 we are off to Florida for some winter sun! Wow those 3 weeks will fly by, hope that you get to have a nice chilled Christmas. I expect it's normal to worry about it, but remember women have been doing it for thousands of years and you'll be surrounded by professionals who know what they're doing 🩷

@WhiteHorse92 half way seems crazy!

@TheBirdintheCave hope these weeks fly by for you!

TheBirdintheCave · 27/11/2023 14:20

@suz2285 Yeah it was a bit of a fight getting the appointment though!

@sweetpotato29 Aww cool! I've not bee to Florida for years now. Enjoy it :)

tulipsunday · 27/11/2023 15:30

@sweetpotato29 sounds amazing! So glad the scan went well.

@suz2285 totally understand the nerves about birth. My first birth would certainly not be anybody's preference (hormone drip, forceps etc.) but I had lovely midwives and they really helped me through. Knowing I was so close to meeting my baby kept me going (plus pain relief 😂) all the hypnobirthing breathing is handy so you can put your course into practice however is pans out

Did a load of Xmas shopping this wkend just gone. Not done any wrapping yet. Still got a fair amount of bits to do for the baby - hospital bag etc. just hard as work is so busy until I finish in three weeks

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 15:38

@tulipsunday right? I've got 3 weeks too and it's so busy, and I'm not motivated at all, I'm feeling like I'm getting sick again today, hopefully it's not going to turn into anything but we'll see! 🙈 I've got so many plans the next few weeks and so much to do!

Haha good to know about the breathing! I do think the breathing helps me for sure, I spent yesterday writing a plan for DH to remind me about breathing at various parts of labour etc! 😂

Christmas is pretty much done though so that's a bonus, luckily I don't have much to buy!

SparkleFly · 27/11/2023 16:11

@sweetpotato29 lovely news, glad your 20 week scan went well 🥰

You can get an app for the breathing @suz2285 I can't remember what it's called but I used it with my first and it was really helpful having something to focus on.

My first birth was pretty awful, I'm going to book an appointment with the hospital to go through my notes before number 2 arrives. It was during covid though so I felt pretty abandoned, hopefully this one will go more smoothly 🤞

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/11/2023 19:06

@suz2285 @WhiteHorse92 see I wouldn't say it's painful as such just uncomfortable? I can't describe it haha. I had a thought last night that it's 3 weeks to go to when my daughter made her appearance! Hope this one stays in for longer, as much as I want to meet him, want to try and avoid a stay in NICU as much as possible!

@sweetpotato29 glad your scan went well! What a relief! ❤️

Seeing the anaesthetist tomorrow, and then another growth scan on Wednesday!!

I'm nowhere near ready for Christmas...I attempted to wrap the other day but I got so out of breathe, I only managed 2 presents 😂

Neelamj · 27/11/2023 20:50

Hi ladies,

just came on here to give an update, unfortunatley I am currently going through my 2nd missed miscarriage. Just want to say I am so grateful for all your support, thank you to everyone for always answering my questions and giving me reassurance, honestly made my short pregnancy journey so lovely and I pray you all continue to have healthy pregnancies.

hope to be back on this thread ( if it is still here ) in the future with some good news :) x

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/11/2023 22:00

@Neelamj so so sorry to see this 😞 sending you lots of love ❤️

suz2285 · 28/11/2023 02:04

@Brokenpancreas94 everything feels uncomfortable to me now tbh 😂 currently awake with what I assume is the start of a cold, sore burning throat and sinus pain, I'm not a happy bunny... got so much to do at work and just feeling completely run down! And I'm rarely ever not well

@Neelamj so sorry to hear this, I hope you are back again soon and that you look after yourself in the meantime, sending you hugs and strength x
