@suz2285 glad all looking good with baby. My husband is ill today too - flu like symptoms. Hoping my various jabs will protect me a bit 😂

Physio was ok gave me a few stretches to do and prodded around but it doesn't feel any better. She said my right shoulder blade is protruding a bit and probs linked to the rib pain there. Hopefully as baby moves down more that should ease. More pelvic pain then though probably 😂

@Brokenpancreas94 understand that fed up feeling I was feeling that today. Just tired, uncomfortable and still lots of work to do before starting maternity leave.

Anyone else got really sore nipples? 18 weeks tomorrow, have gone up a bra size but still so sore! Didn't have this with my first.

suz2285 · 23/11/2023 08:48

@tulipsunday so many things going about, I've got an upset stomach this morning, feeling nausea on and off since last night, I hope that's going to be the extent of it, I do not cope being ill 😂 but this is how my friends bout of covid started recently!

I just want to feel ok to go to this class on Saturday! And for baby to be ok obv! Husband is very 'we'll be fine' neither of us ever really get ill but yeah! See how it goes

@SparkleFly mine have been sore/cracked and sensitive at various points! I bought nipple cream prob around 18-19 weeks as they were so dry and sore! It went away and I never used the cream! But they've been dry and sore again in the 3rd tri for a few days...

tulipsunday · 23/11/2023 14:39

@suz2285 hope you feel better soon and 🤞be ok for Saturday.

@SparkleFly haven't had that myself but imagine it is common

Hi all,

Not sure why I’m posting maybe just to speak to women in the same boat?

had a early miscarriage around 6 weeks in July, then a chemical at 4+5 last month, thought we’d try again this month. Only did a test last night as I’m going away this weekend with friends and wanted to make sure I could have a glass of wine - wasn’t really expecting it but the test has come back positive - v v early, period not due for a week. Have done 2 tests, both positive, but already started spotting and just feeling super anxious about it all. Also it’s going to be so obvious this weekend and not sure how I’m going to be able to hold it together if I start bleeding more 😞

Have a beautiful healthy 2 year old so know I’m very lucky, but would love them to have a sibling

TheBirdintheCave · 24/11/2023 11:15

@Miniyellowflower I hope this one is your sticky bean <3 My son has just turned three (today!) so I know how you feel about wanting them to have a sibling.

suz2285 · 24/11/2023 11:28

@Miniyellowflower welcome, though i'm sorry you're here at the same time. I had a very early positive with this current baby and it seemed like such a long time knowing for so long at the beginning! It's so fustrating as spotting can be totally normal/implantation or it can be the beginning of your period, also tricky timing with going away for the weekend. Will your friends be ok with you not drinking or will they be asking loads of questions that you don't want?

Either way, i hope you can have a relaxing weekend and hope this one is sticky for you as well!

tulipsunday · 25/11/2023 10:54

@Miniyellowflower welcome. It is so stressful and the beginning when you don't know which way it will go. Will keep everything crossed for you.

@TheBirdintheCave aw happy birthday to your son. Any celebration plans?

I am currently around 5 1/2 weeks pregnant for the sixth time. I have had a miscarriage followed by my son who is now 2, followed by an ectopic and 2 further miscarriages. I’ve been prescribed progesterone and started taking 7 days after ovulation. I have irregular cycles and all my loses have been before 6 weeks. I’ve had testing and everything came back clear which no medical reason that they could find for my loses. Worried I’ll miscarry again and if I’m on progesterone would it delay bleeding? Anyone been in a similar situation?

suz2285 · 25/11/2023 14:50

@faithinpregnancy21 I've heard that it can stop/delay bleeding, but I assume if you're prescribed it then the docs are keeping an eye on you? Usually if you're not getting it at the start they wait until 6-7 weeks to check baby is ok and in the right position etc but I assume if you're taking it from ovulation then you'll be monitored? Hope it helps 🤞

I had my hypnobirthing course this morning, was good but 5 hours of sitting in a really uncomfy chair! I had to get up and stand at one point, baby was right in my ribs and by the end I was so uncomfy it was actually causing pain! And sharp crampy feelings! And then I was like crap if this is even a tiny bit of how labour feels this is sore 😂🙈 luckily when I got home and relaxed a bit it calmed down! Was a good course tho, husband even participated a bit and was actually helpful so that was good 😂😂

TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2023 21:52

@tulipsunday We took him to the Glow Wild event at Kew Wakehurst and had dinner and cake afterwards then today lunch at Smith and Western (totally cheesy wild west themed restaurant) and a trip to the local zoo. He got to stroke an owl and feed a tapir 😬 Result is a totally knackered but happy little boy 🥰

Chill day tomorrow 😅

TheBirdintheCave · 25/11/2023 21:53

@suz2285 We did a hypnobirthing course too. We found it very helpful :)

tulipsunday · 26/11/2023 07:20

@faithinpregnancy21 that's good you have the progesterone. I haven't had experience of it but know for some people it has made all the difference. Sorry you have been through so much.

@suz2285 yey glad you made the course and that it was helpful. Rib pain is not nice wanting my baby to move down to relieve that but then I guess pelvic discomfort will increase 🙈

@TheBirdintheCave sounds a perfect day! My 3 year old would have loved all of that. Wakehurst is nice I have been a couple of times as only about an hour from me.

We did a light trail last night near my in laws it was lovely. Starting to feel a bit festive 🎄 34 weeks today 😬 will be here for Xmas...!

suz2285 · 26/11/2023 11:29

@TheBirdintheCave aw that sounds like an amazing day! So sweet! I think I found the course more helpful than DH but he hopefully learned a few things to help during labour! It did make it feel very real tho!!!

@tulipsunday honestly I think babies butt was like right under my rib! Once he moved it was better, he's really low though when I stand up I'm def carrying low so I can imagine now much worse it is if you're carrying high!! I have certainly got enough pelvic discomfort too 😂 I'm also super swollen today, late night macdonalds bad bad idea 🙈😂

GeographyTeacher · 26/11/2023 17:45

Evening all.

I wanted to pop a little message here to say that I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again after a MMC in July. I found out at 12 weeks that baby hadn’t lived past 8/9 weeks and the weeks and months that have followed have just been awful.

I tested a few days ago (early) and got BFP on various different tests, I was in shock as I’m not really sure why I tested when I did. Plus I was early so certainly wasn’t expecting the clear, dark lines.

The anxiety has already set in and now I have a long road ahead of me. I desperately want to enjoy it, even if it does end in the same heart ache.

I feel like my first loss has just robbed me of the ability to enjoy any pregnancy and would love any tips, ideas, suggestions of things that have worked for other people during these first weeks?

Big love to you all 😊

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/11/2023 18:24

Welcome @GeographyTeacher and congratulations on your BFP. I had a mmc last year where we found out at 12 weeks too that baby had stopped growing at 8weeks. Honestly never thought it would happen to me, well I guess no one thinks it would happen to them. I then thought that every pregnancy after that would be doomed, when there was no reason to be as I already have a 7 year old daughter.
In regard to advice with anxiety...I've none as I'm still an anxious wreck at 31 weeks! Trying to keep busy does help though!
Wishing you loads of luck! Xx

Trying to catch up on all the posts I've missed @TheBirdintheCave happy birthday to your little one! ❤️

Glad the course went well for you @suz2285 xx

We've discovered our daughter has threadworms, never had to deal with them before...what fun (joys of school age children) I can't take OTC treatment either as apparently it's not advised for pregnant women...brilliant, just another thing to add to the list...I'll stop moaning soon honest 😂
Hope everyone else is doing okay, and welcome to the other newcomers xx

suz2285 · 26/11/2023 19:03

@GeographyTeacher welcome. And congrats on the bfp! Same as @Brokenpancreas94 says it's just a horrible anxious time the early days, I don't think I did anything specific, just panicked a lot! It does rob the joy 100% but loads of us on here are on successful pregnancies after a loss so I guess that is slightly encouraging! It doesn't really ever go away though, the anxiety just shifts a little to various things along the way!

@Brokenpancreas94 ah man that sucks you can't take the treatment too! Let's hope you don't get them 😂 don't need any more things for sure! Seems to be doing the rounds I read another thread (forgive the pun!) on here the other day and the woman was absolutely freaking out about it 😂😂 I remember my sister got them once and we all had to get treated but then I had them again another time and it wasn't much fun! But could be worse!

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/11/2023 19:52

@suz2285 I was freaking out yesterday!! 😂 she was a bit poorly last night, but she's had the treatment now so hopefully on the mend. I've got to contact the GP tomorrow about my treatment, says it can cause UTI's which I'm riddled with 😂🙄. I've researched and apparently it's more if you're in early pregnancy to avoid treatment 🤷‍♀️
