@tulipsunday right? We literally had a discussion about whether to skip a cycle cos of Christmas but then I was like omg what if this might be our only chance and we choose not to! So yeah, we didn't try and skip.... nice if you can just plan like that! 🙈 doesn't matter at all when they arrive! As it's happened Jan is perfect timing for me with work, I could actually be doing with the same timings if I do this again 😂😂😂

tulipsunday · 17/11/2023 15:44

That's great it works out well with work . Nothing wrong with people skipping a month to avoid Xmas but I thought an odd thing to say to someone who has literally just said they are having a Jan baby 😂

Thinking I may start to get some of the baby clothes out of the drawers today to start going through them. I have my son home this afternoon though so imagine he will want to 'help' 😬🙈

@tulipsunday so many odd things people say for sure! I think sometimes they just want to say something!

Went to a 'party' at the weekend, one woman (drunk) was introduced to me, noticed bump and was like omg keep it in there I hate babies! Then she was like but I have 3 and they're little terrors.... as if I was planning to just give birth on the floor right there! It was so rude 🙈 but everyone else there was rude too so yeah, so weird!! I've had fairly good experiences so far with people but this was just bizarre!!

Ooh enjoy sorting clothes! I do enjoy that part 😂

tulipsunday · 17/11/2023 18:49

Lol omg @suz2285 she does sound weird. Keep it in there.. 😂

@tulipsunday @suz2285 I think if I hadn't have had the MC then maybe I would have been more mindful of when we'd want to have had the baby, but I've never thought too strongly about it. I definitely don't care when he comes now, and wouldn't have skipped a month because the fact I wasn't falling pregnant straight away was stressing me out as it was! I was just so grateful to have fallen pregnant!

People can be so weird! 😂 luckily I've not had too many weird encounters with people...yet

tulipsunday · 17/11/2023 19:16

I was 'planning' my son to be an Autumn baby as would have worked well with work. He was born in April 😂 certainly no good at planning in this family haha

@tulipsunday I don't even think we thought about it with our daughter 😂although she was due 12th June but came 2nd May!! 🙈

BEL88 · 17/11/2023 23:46

Hey guys, I'm 17 weeks and had a scan yesterday and all fine but today I've been sick twice and now after the loo tonight I wiped and got this maybe brown/pink discharge? I've got 1 DS then had 6 miscarriages (all before 12 and most before 5).

I don't know what to do

@BEL88 how are things today? Do you have a midwife advice line or anything in your area?

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 18/11/2023 09:11

@Brokenpancreas94 wow pretty early then. I am so not ready for this one to make an early entrance 😂

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 10:17

@tulipsunday it was very sudden...my consultant had been on holiday came back and was like nope we need to get her out this weekend, we are admitting you today. Partner was at the cinema so he had to come to me, they made out that she was coming out either that night or the next day. She didn't end up coming until 3 days later 😂🤦‍♀️

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 15:24

@Brokenpancreas94 omg so they made him leave the cinema to Come over and then it still took 3 days? That's ridiculous 😂

@tulipsunday right? No early exit available here!!

@BEL88 any update? It doesn't seem anything to be worried about but it's best to ask the midwife anyway

BEL88 · 18/11/2023 15:57

Don't think it's happened since. I'm just trying to put it down to maybe being dehydrated. I only had a scan on Thursday and all was fine. I rang the midwife team on call last night but cos I'm 17 weeks it was go to gp or 111. I rang 111 when I had this last year with a pregnancy which turned out to be a missed miscarriage and they never got back to me. Maybe Monday il ring EPU or antenatal...not really sure what department I'm under now

Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 17:22

@suz2285 yep, I think he got 15 minutes into the film as well 😂😂

@BEL88 bit of a TMI question but had you had sex? Could it be your cervix maybe? Probably too early as well but have you felt movements yet?

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 17:23

@BEL88 sorry to hear no one is being very helpful, I'm pretty sure all is fine like you say. But the midwife's are meant to reassure you! The EPU here I think see people until 20 weeks, it might be worth just calling for reassurance but like you say if you just had a scan it's likely all is fine

FYI - and maybe tmi but my discharge though this pregnancy has not been 'clear' mostly at all, been somewhere around yellows/whites and darker sometimes, but nothing I'd class as blood looking, sometimes quite similar to what you've posted, I think online it all seems to suggest it should be see through but mine is most def darker than it would usually be!

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 17:24

@BEL88 and yes to what @Brokenpancreas94 I had def a few darker instances after sex! Blooming sex causes all these issues 😂

@Brokenpancreas94 oh that's ridiculous 😂 couldn't even enjoy his film in peace! Hahah

Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 17:27

@suz2285 nope he had to deal with me stressing that baby was coming that weekend 😂

Yes my discharge has never been clear either!

BEL88 · 18/11/2023 17:38

Thanks guys, you have reassured me. I keep thinking now it's meant to be lighter but I think I'm just being over picky.

I think I can feel some movement so again just relying on that to reassure me

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 18:24

@BEL88 don't worry we're all like that 😂 I panic at least once a week still! Like today when I don't feel movement for an hour I panic, happens at least once or twice a week!

@Brokenpancreas94 haha yeah that doesn't sound like fun times! Even when it's planned you still never know quite when it's happening!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 18:31

@BEL88 @suz2285 I'm still inspecting my tissue when I wipe every time! It's a scary time isn't it, but I think you'll be fine...however I'm not a medical professional so don't take my word for it xx

@suz2285 yeah exactly, they just rushed and panicked me made seem like it was Happenjng on that Friday, didn't give me the pessary until Saturday lunch time and when that failed they just decided on a section for the Monday 😂🙈

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 19:07

@Brokenpancreas94 same with the tissue

Also I'm def getting cramping on and off! Eeee!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 19:30

@suz2285 how many weeks are you now? 32?
Braxton hicks, I've not had any yet this time

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 19:52

@Brokenpancreas94 yeah 32! It doesn't feel like Braxton hicks like I had earlier on, it feels more like just before you get your period, not the full on tightening, or contractions or anything just a crampy feeling, but I did have Braxton hicks earlier on around 20-24 ish weeks and I haven't felt the same recently so maybe it is just different?!

But my apps say cramping is normal now and so did my pal who's due any day... it's not regularly just sometimes!

And after I had my mid day panic about movements today he's now having a party in there! I think he has a nap between like 3-5pm every day 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 18/11/2023 19:54

@suz2285 braxton can feel like menstrual cramps! Your body is gearing up! Thinking about it it's actually gone quick for us really hasn't it, even though it doesn't feel like it at times 😅

suz2285 · 18/11/2023 20:13

@Brokenpancreas94 well it could def be that then 😂 it didn't feel like that earlier on but maybe now baby is bigger! Yeah it's flying by... but still feeling like ages to go but also getting super real now!! 😳
