@suz2285 been here for a few hours now but just been seen cornea abrasion, just waiting for my drops now!

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 15:13

@Brokenpancreas94 did you poke yourself in the eye? How did it happen? 😂

tulipsunday · 13/11/2023 15:33

@Brokenpancreas94 oh yikes hope sorted soon

@Nushyboots sorry you are going through this additional worry

@suz2285 I am really relying on this baby not coming too early as self-employed and need the cash 😂 hoping to get everything finished three weeks before due date.

My sister is doing well thanks. Similar to us all a bit achey etc but generally good

@tulipsunday @Brokenpancreas94 are either of you getting crampy, feels like you're about to get your period/achy feelings? Mine are quite low down, but it doesn't seem like Braxton hicks as I'm not getting any tightening feelings, I'm thinking it's just my uterus stretching as that's what I had early on, but I assume cos baby is growing much faster now?! there's no pattern or anything just an achy crampy kinda feeling?

Brokenpancreas94 · 13/11/2023 16:10

@suz2285 feel free to laugh but yes...with the party invitation for the party yesterday 😂 I had my sunglasses and the invite in the same hand without realising (don't know how) I went to put my glasses on and bam corner of the invite stabbed my eye 😂🤦‍♀️ it's bloody sore again now and my eye is yellow 😂🙈

In regards to the cramps yes I keep getting them as well, but wasn't sure if it was my bowels or not 😂🤷‍♀️

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 16:13

@Brokenpancreas94 only you 🙈😂 hope the drops help

Yeah I thought it was maybe constipation the other day, but google seems to suggest it's normal as the uterus grows quite rapidly now... cos the baby is growing so fast! I just hate that feeling like your period is away to start! Apparently Braxton can also feel like that! And my back is sore If I've been in the office, which I have today! Uncomfy chairs! 🙈😂

tulipsunday · 13/11/2023 16:16

@Brokenpancreas94 oh no silly injuries like that are the worst 😂

@suz2285 my tummy feels ok but my lower back is achey like I used to get pre period

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 13/11/2023 16:19

@suz2285 oh I know!! 😂😭

Yeah I think it's because baby is basically doubling in size now, and getting in position to exit 😂😬

@tulipsunday yes my back is like that too!

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 16:45

@tulipsunday yeah my back is achy too

@Brokenpancreas94 yeah I think since he's been head down it's been getting slowly worse pain wise! He feels very heavy too!

Nushyboots · 13/11/2023 17:53

@suz2285 @tulipsunday thanks for the reassurance!

I did get a look at my results and i do have low PAPP-A again.(Had in previous pregnancy & had to have extra growth scans for my DS who is now a fine 2 year old)

have had bloods taken for NIPT so in five days will find out the results. My NT was 1.2mmm so was within the normal range

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 18:30

@Nushyboots that all sounds very reassuring, was the genetic counsellor helpful? I'd say the NIPT will likely come back fine but please let us know 🤞 sorry you have to go through this and the waiting is awful, sending you a lot of hugs!

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 18:31

@Nushyboots sorry it was a screening midwife you said, sometimes they're helpful and sometimes not 🙈

Nushyboots · 13/11/2023 18:50

@suz2285 thank you - she was actually nice to be honest. We were very nervous but she pretty much repeated what you said earlier - think i have a 2% chance but still…the wait is going to hard but i am going to stay positive as much as i can as its pretty much out of our hands

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 18:57

@Nushyboots glad she was helpful and reassuring 🤞🤞 try and take it easy and let us know when you get the NIPT back!

tulipsunday · 15/11/2023 10:51

@Nushyboots good luck with the NIPT results - sounds like hopefully all will be well.

Got physio referral appointment through for Wednesday. Hoping this will help with a few inner thigh and back niggles I have going on.

I've been lucky to see the same midwife for most of my appointments and they have been at home. Sadly they have changed the system as they are having as staff shift around so I will have to go to a clinic for the rest of my appointments and I wont see my midwife. Not a big deal but a bit of a shame.

tulipsunday · 15/11/2023 10:52

@suz2285 have the cramps settled? How's the eye @Brokenpancreas94

OP posts:
suz2285 · 15/11/2023 11:13

@tulipsunday yea, no cramps for a few days now! I've got pelvic girdle pain tho and it's really quite sore! Booked in to see a pregnancy chiropractor on Monday but doing some you tube exercises and I think I'll email the midwife to ask for a physio referral too, I'm seeing them next week but if they can refer now it'll be a week quicker right?

That's a shame about not seeing your midwife anymore! I was listening to a podcast the other day and they were saying that it's better for women to see the same midwife etc for loads of reasons! We've got two and I've seen them both, they cover each others holiday 😂

tulipsunday · 15/11/2023 12:24

Oh that's good - will one of them of them be with you for the delivery? Does make sense that you will be more relaxed if you have met them before. I ended up having three midwives last time due to their shifts ending/starting as was in hospital for a fair amount of time before he made his arrival. Hadn't met them before but they were great. Hoping might be a bit quicker this time.

I was surprised my physio appointment came through quickly so might be worth asking. Do you think inner thigh/groin discomfort would be pelvic girdle? I get a bit confused with the terminology!

OP posts:
suz2285 · 15/11/2023 12:41

@tulipsunday No 😂 cos I'll be in the hospital for birth it'll prob be 7 different midwives so not much use! I'm hoping they're nice tho you just never know! Even if I had a home birth it would be a different midwife. I only see the same ones in the clinic... seems to just be different everywhere!

Yes inner thigh pain is one of the locations of pain, my inner thighs are aching too - like if I squeeze them together it's sore , as well as my back and like a deep hip pain! I think pelvis pain covers anything in that region!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/11/2023 19:10

@tulipsunday a lot better today thank you, but on stronger antibiotics for the thousandth UTI in this pregnancy 🙄🙄🙄

Michah89 · 15/11/2023 23:51

suz2285 · 16/11/2023 10:06

@Michah89 so sorry to hear of the loss of little Sophie, that must've been such a shock. Hopefully if you are pregnant again you will have a lot of support from the team at the hospital if there are any issues. It's the most worrying time but I hope the doctors are supportive and helpful, please pop back in here any time for questions and support 😘
