@Brokenpancreas94 it is hard when you can't get comfy. Even my arm was achey last night due to covid jab 😂 as if I needed anything else to be achey right now lol

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/11/2023 20:12

@tulipsunday my left hip is so sore! That's what's stopping me from sleeping! Ahh hopefully that pain doesn't last for too long! The annoying thing is the most comfortable position for me atm is laying on my back, but we can't do that now 😫😫

Nushyboots · 11/11/2023 05:51

@Neelamj sorry that wasn’t the news you wanted….will pop you in my prayers and hope it all comes back fine xxx

thanks everyone was great seeing baby now its a waiting game 🙂

tulipsunday · 11/11/2023 19:28

@Brokenpancreas94 ah yeh I get that. Trying to sleep on my left but then I get achey so end up switching sides.

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 11/11/2023 20:23

@tulipsunday it hurts no matter what side I lay 😞and it's worse if my leg is bent when laying on my side if that makes sense? Maybe I should have agreed to the physio!

Neelamj · 12/11/2023 07:26

@tulipsunday @Nushyboots thank you

@TheBirdintheCave @Brokenpancreas94 it was abdominal and they said I have a tilted uterus , they didnt end up doing blood test so now 12 more days wait🙈 I may not be on here till then, hope that does not seem like I am being rude.

Penguinfeetteal · 12/11/2023 07:40

@Neelamj I have a very tilted uterus and even with an internal scan they struggled to measure the baby well at 7 weeks. Went back a week later and as baby was bigger they could get a clearer picture and baby had grown and every 2 weeks has.. Id be pushing for an internal quicker to be honest! I'm surprised they didn't do an internal. Where did you have this done? I'd phone your local epu if you have a history of miscarriages you should be being supported by them.

TheBirdintheCave · 12/11/2023 08:14

@Neelamj There you go, that will be it. I also have a retroverted uterus and they won't do an external scan because they know they won't get accurate measurements.

Even my twelve week scan was internal 😂

Thriving30 · 12/11/2023 08:27

Hi I'm very early, just over 7 weeks, had 2 previous losses, on progesterone this time round. Anyone else struggling with sleep? I can only sleep for 4 hours and have been having the same horrendous dream each night for the past week or so. My partner is driving the car, he gets distracted, and I shout for him to concentrate on the road, we almost get in a crash! It's a very specific dream and it's the exact same each night. So strange! Maybe it's my mind being so anxious?

Brokenpancreas94 · 12/11/2023 10:23

@Neelamj at my what I thought was my 8 week scan this time round they said my uterus/womb was very tilted so it was hard to measure accurately and they put me at 7 weeks then, that was a vaginal scan too, and they still struggled.

@Thriving30 welcome to the thread, it probably is your anxiety, but pregnancy can cause such strange bizarre dreams! I've been having a lot of odd dreams too, which can be quite frightening but it's just all the hormones I think. Xx

suz2285 · 12/11/2023 11:14

@Brokenpancreas94 @tulipsunday are you propping bump up in bed with a pillow/and or a pillow between your legs? Mine is too heavy now so flops down uncomfy on the bed if I'm lying on my side so I've got the pillow propping it up... I also am achy in bed, but cos I'm propped up I don't move as much so my hips are sore, but I still turn 2-3 x a night to the other side and re-prop up all the pillows 😂

@Thriving30 yes I slept rubbish though the first trimester was awake a lot! Weird dreams! Too hot etc! I'm back to waking up more in the third now too

I was so crampy last night, I was a bit worried tbh! Baby was really active, and then my stomach was sore and felt 'period y' back was aching as well. But I'd been sitting on a hard chair for a few hours at the pub in the middle of the afternoon and usually that makes my back achy!

I've also been feeling nauseous a bit, and still achy this morning! Bump is feeling so heavy, was starting to think god maybe this baby is gonna not wait another 9 weeks! It's so hard when I don't know what's 'normal' to feel! 🙈 not feeling amazing still this morning! Also I'm def constipated a bit so I'm sure that might not be helping either! 🙈 could be contributing to the crampy feelings!

Brokenpancreas94 · 12/11/2023 17:07

@suz2285 no, not propped up find that more uncomfortable for my back 😫 it wasn't too bad last night though! Have the odd days where it's okay!
I've scratched my eye I think, it's so sore! Pregnancy has made me so clumsy! 🙈

Took daughter to a party at soft play today, lots of screaming....which meant lots of kicks from baby 😂🙈

suz2285 · 12/11/2023 17:30

@Brokenpancreas94 omg I'm so grumpy today I was about to have a tantrum in Asda! Soft play sounds terrible 😂😂

Anyone else grumpy? I'm never really grumpy but I cannot be bothered with people at all this weekend!

Brokenpancreas94 · 12/11/2023 18:03

@suz2285 it wasn't too bad, meant she could burn some energy off haha

Yep I know what you mean with the grumpy feeling, some days I feel emotionally how I'd feel as if my period is coming!

tulipsunday · 12/11/2023 20:48

@Thriving30 Hormones can definitely cause weird dreams and imagine it is the anxiety too. I tend to get anxiety dreams when not pregnant so do sympathise.

@Brokenpancreas94 @suz2285 I have my side pregnancy pillow but still always wake up with a sore lower back. May try the pillow between legs and adjust a bit to see if can sort the back issue. Getting a fair amount of sleep so can't complain too much is just tricky getting back to sleep if I wake early.

Had a nice time seeing family yesterday and catching up with my sister. She is 34 weeks now so even closer. A few people have asked if I am 'ready' and I have done nothing so need to start digging up out the newborn clothes and finding all the paraphernalia 😂

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 12/11/2023 21:39

@tulipsunday @suz2285 I've tried the pillow in between my legs/knees doesn't help much either.

Time is flying by so fast isn't it, but I'm also impatient I think because we've essentially been waiting since June 2022 for a baby, as that's when I first fell pregnant with the baby I MC'd.

Looks like I have a trip to eye casualty tomorrow...why oh why am I so silly sometimes 🙈

tulipsunday · 12/11/2023 21:51

@Brokenpancreas94 oh no seriously? Hope it is ok. Pregnancy clumsiness is definitely a thing. Trying to remember to really focus on going up and down stairs after tripping out the other day 🙈

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 12/11/2023 21:51

*over 😂

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 12/11/2023 21:53

@tulipsunday well I did 111online and it said to get seen within 24hours and eye casualty at my local hospital closed at lunchtime 🤦‍♀️ going to see how it is in the morning. Honestly one thing after the other with me 😂🙈

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 07:21

@tulipsunday how's your sister feeling at 34 weeks?

The crampy feelings I had a few nights ago gave me the fear, I need to get my work up to date asap just incase! 😂 keep thinking oh I've got weeks left but i need to stop procrastinating and get all my notes etc up to date! Which is hard when you're not motivated!

@Brokenpancreas94 oh no, my mum scratched her eye a few months ago and had a pain with it for weeks with various drops and trips to the hospital! Hope it's nothing too bad!!

Nushyboots · 13/11/2023 09:48

Hi ladies : has anyone had a cvs/amniocentesis for a pregnancy? My screening has just come back 1:49 for Edwards and Patau’s. And i am absolutely panicking and upset that I may have to end this pregnancy… going in at 2pm to see screening nurse.

Nushyboots · 13/11/2023 10:10

I think i’m going to be offered an NIPT test

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 10:58

@Nushyboots did you get your NT measurement from the 12 week scan? Was it normal, if so it'll likely be totally fine! With edwards and patau usually there's obvious signs on the scan at 12 weeks

The tests look for hormone levels so it's likely your paap-a is low which they can keep an eye on during pregnancy, can mean issues with the placenta, but get the NIPT first... after that then they will discuss if it's still positive, many cases of both are confined to the placenta so if the NIPT is positive you'd want an amnio not the cvs! Happy to discuss I've got a degree in genetics and I've done a lot of reading around these subjects

Please don't worry too much right now, esp if your NT measurement was ok!

Brokenpancreas94 · 13/11/2023 11:41

@Nushyboots no advice but wishing you luck and hopefully all fine

@suz2285 @tulipsunday well my eye doesn't really hurt today but I contacted gp as it's still really watery and vision is slightly blurred and they've told me to go to eye casualty, so I'm off there shortly 😫
Baby keeps pushing on my bladder as well today which is slightly painful!

suz2285 · 13/11/2023 11:59

@Brokenpancreas94 hopefully just some drops for you then and nothing serious! 🤞
