@SparkleFly the time between any scan is so daunting isn't it, I don't know how I'd cope if I wasn't a type 1 diabetic and only had the standard 12 week and 20 week scans! I've got my first growth scan on 8th November to determine/well give an indication as to when baby may possibly be coming, and I'm so nervous and impatient at the same time! X

Longbarn5 · 28/10/2023 19:01

Thank you Brokenpancreas94, I suspect that is what it is.

suz2285 · 28/10/2023 21:15

@Longbarn5 sorry to hear that, it could be old blood mixed with discharge possibly, if it doesn't turn red it's one of those things you just have to wait and see, which is the worst

@Brokenpancreas94 I think 28 weeks is what they say for patterns, but I think it's more like regular movements, rather than specific times of day or whatever, I'm still having loads of different types of movement from tiny taps to full on kicks but I think just as long as you're feeling regular movements that's what they say anyway! It's so hard to know what that actually means though!

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/10/2023 21:17

@suz2285 yeah it's weird isn't it! I'll either have very faint movements or the vibration things, or like you say full blown kicks 🙈😅. I will mention it to the midwife on Tuesday!

suz2285 · 28/10/2023 21:25

@Brokenpancreas94 let me know what she says 😂😂 mine just asks if I'm having regular moments and to go in if any changes

Hi guys

it’s so lovely to read all your stories.
I’ve had a bfp test on Friday after having a miscarriage last year. We tried after the miscarriage until about June this year and I just couldn’t take it anymore so I told my husband that I couldn’t keep trying.
so to find out we are pregnant has been such brilliant news.

but the fear is there at losing another baby, everytime I’m away to the toilet I’m checking the paper to make sure there is no blood.

I suppose what happens happens and nothing I can do to change things. So I’ll plod on and make sure I do what I can to stay fit and healthy and hope this one sticks ❤️❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/10/2023 21:34

@suz2285 no doubt mine will say the same then 😂🙄

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/10/2023 21:36

@Nervousnell19 congratulations on the BFP! The nerves are understandable, I'm still the same now and I'm 27 weeks.
Your body doesn't remember the previous mc though, so there's nothing (as far as we all know) that would cause this pregnancy to fail, but I know that probably won't make you feel any better, as it didn't make me feel better at the time. 🙈
It's so scary after a loss. Wishing you all the luck! Xx

suz2285 · 28/10/2023 21:38

@Nervousnell19 welcome! Such a scary nervous time, we all have been there! Everything crossed for you, and congrats 🥳 hopefully everything will go smoothly this time! 🙏🤞

SparkleFly · 29/10/2023 07:35

@Nervousnell19 congratulations on your news! We're all in the same boat here hoping that things will go smoothly this time around so you're in good company. x

SparkleFly · 29/10/2023 07:37

Those of you who have reached 2nd trimester, has your tiredness calmed down like, loads? I feel totally different now at 14 weeks to the point that a few weeks ago I was wanting to go to bed at 8:30pm and now I'm staying awake until 11?! Can't help but worry about my lack of tiredness 🙈 although I am constipated and having sinus issues 🙄

suz2285 · 29/10/2023 08:02

@SparkleFly oh yeah the draining all consuming tiredness does calm down! I don't need to nap now, but I do wake up middle of the night with sinus issues and struggle to get back to sleep sometimes! And if I do too much I still feel really tired at night but yeah otherwise that crazy crazy tiredness does settle down

I wouldn't say I've got the 'burst of energy' that I was expecting from what I read everyone say about the 2nd tri! I'd say I actually feel better now in the early 3rd trimester than I did in early second 😂

WhiteHorse92 · 29/10/2023 10:21

@SparkleFly definitely! Sickness and tiredness and food aversions seem to go away in second trimester. Tiredness and exhaustion seems to be coming back in third trimester now though, along with all the aches and pains..... 🙈

SparkleFly · 29/10/2023 20:52

Thanks ladies. I'm pretty sure I still felt knackered halfway through the 2nd trimester with my son, but as that was 4 years ago it's all pretty vague anyway.

Neelamj · 30/10/2023 05:31

Hi ladies sorry Ive just not been posting on here, the past couple of days I have been feeling really down cant do anything I enjoy and super anxious about what may happen.

I am 5weeks and 5 days today
according to my last period which was 20th sept
on average my cycle is. 28days normally

finally clear blue now says 2-3 (on thursday it still said 1-2) so it has progressed but the clear blue line should be darker as its way after my period was due so as its all progressing slowly im guessing that is a bad sign

trying to be hopeful and think maybe it calculates after you actually implanted which could he 9/10dpo etc but im just scared of a miscarriage the pain etc (mentally prepared but hate the not knowing)

Hi Could i join? Iv just found out recently I am pregnant. I got my BFP on Wednesday / Thursday. According to my ovulation and Premom app I am 4w3d. My AF was due on Friday.

Iv had no successful pregnancy so far. 2021 I had a MMC at 9 weeks. And a couple of months ago I had and early miscarriage at 5 weeks. My anxiety is through the roof. Iv had 1-2 weeks confirmed on digital but I feel my lines are too light for where I am.

Latest test pics attached x

I think as long as it's progressing that's ok? X

Brokenpancreas94 · 30/10/2023 09:38

@Neelamj all my tests were relatively faint, they weren't stronger until I was atleast 8 weeks I think it was (I had a spare test and was paranoid). Clear blue were always the faintest for me for some reason. I think like @JMasey says the fact it is progressing and the clear blue has changed then that's a good sign x

suz2285 · 30/10/2023 10:21

@Neelamj those look great and that clear blue is super dark, those don't really get much darker than that, the darkness of the line doesn't mean much tbh! No more tests 🥰 everything is calculated after you implant because there's no hcg until you implant so nothing to test... it takes 2-3 days after implantation to get even a sniff of a positive test so they're really just meant to be used to say if you are or are not pregnant, please don't read too much into the exact colour, this all looks great 👌

@JMasey same as above, those clear blue never get super dark! They look great... everything crossed for you 🤞

It's a rubbish anxious time but it's just a waiting game which sucks but try not to stress about the colours of the lines it won't make any difference to any outcome, just gotta keep fingers crossed and wait 🤞🤞

JMasey · 30/10/2023 10:23

@suz2285 thank you for your kind words. I will try chill out and keep my fingers crossed. Such an anxious time. Mind you I think I probably will be until I have my baby in my arms! X

suz2285 · 30/10/2023 10:26

@JMasey oh 100%! It's anxiety from the min that second line appears, those of us in 2nd and 3rd tri will tell you it just moves on to anxiety about the next thing! 😂 it's blooming terrifying, and I wonder if it's the same for those that have never had a loss, but we'll never know...

That's why it's nice to have this group cos just talking to people helps 🥰

JMasey · 30/10/2023 10:28

@suz2285 it's really does help talking about it. Don't get me wrong my DH is super supportive and does everything for me, but still doesn't understand certain things or why I stress like I do etc. x

suz2285 · 30/10/2023 10:30

@JMasey oh I hear ya! My husbands answer to everything is 'it'll be fine, it'll all work out' etc 😂 and then of course when it is fine he's like 'seeeeee' 🙈 helpful!

He's lucky I love him I tell ya!

JMasey · 30/10/2023 10:32

@suz2285 oh what I'd give to be a man 😂 they have no idea
