@Neelamj what makes them think it's a failed pregnancy? The test?? I hope it goes well for you! X

suz2285 · 26/10/2023 13:45

@Neelamj I don't think EPU can tell that with a phone call, but loads of them are reluctant to do bloods. Those clear blue week indicators are terrible and I've heard of loads of people never getting 3+ and everything still being fine so try not to panic, though it's easier said than done. And very not helpful to ring EPU and have no help 😟

Keeping everything crossed for you, it's a rubbish time of just waiting to see, totally understand that... look after yourself x

suz2285 · 26/10/2023 13:47

@Nushyboots hope the scan was ok 🤞

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/10/2023 14:16

@Neelamj yeah I wouldn't have got digital, but my other tests were faint and I was so desperate and the digital said 1-2 weeks, and I was 5 weeks, so yeah they weren't accurate but it confirmed I was pregnant!
It was the same with my daughter too!

Nushyboots · 26/10/2023 15:01

@Brokenpancreas94 just back! It all went fine - was such a relief to see our bubs on screen with a heartbeat. Measuring bang on dates at 11 weeks. so anxiety has dropped a little for now….although was so nervous before hand

TheBirdintheCave · 26/10/2023 16:01

@Nushyboots That's great news! :)

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/10/2023 16:04

@Nushyboots aww that's great news!

Nushyboots · 26/10/2023 16:33

@Brokenpancreas94 @TheBirdintheCave thank you! Thanks also for all the encouragement from the group to have scan done and support for my anxiety. Dating scan in 2 weeks…

TheBirdintheCave · 26/10/2023 18:09

My NIPT came back low risk! So relieved 😬

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/10/2023 18:54

Great news @TheBirdintheCave ❤️

@Nushyboots this group is great isn't it! ❤️

My sciatica is bad today, feel like I've gone back 9 years before I had my disectomy

suz2285 · 27/10/2023 05:48

@TheBirdintheCave @Nushyboots great news for you both

@Brokenpancreas94 not great about the sciatica 🙈 it's so painful isn't it!

tulipsunday · 27/10/2023 07:55

Heya all just catching up

@Neelamj sorry you are going through a worrying time. Can all relate to the anxiety of the early stages.

@TheBirdintheCave @Nushyboots great news 😊

Trying to get a bit of rest this morning as good old pregnancy insomnia kept me up a bit in the night. Then just as fallen back asleep my son was waking up 😂

Hi everyone hope I can join. I haven't read through yet just starting my post first.
Yesterday at 13DPO I received 2-3 weeks on clearblue and I'm absolutely terrified. My anxiety has taken over.
In Jan 2022 I was 5 weeks pregnant and started to bleed. After attending the EPAU they started bloods which where only rising 60%
After a scan they found a mass in my left Fallopian tube and I agreed to a Methotrexate injection to try dissolve the pregnancy. A couple of days later I fell to floor in excruciating pain and had to call an ambulance and after 2 nights and NIL by mouth with a low blood pressure they finally scanned me and I was in surgery 30 minutes later. My tube had ruptured and I was internally bleeding. They removed the tube and pregnancy.
I contacted my doctor yesterday who's done a referral to EPAU and I'm waiting to hear. I'm so so scared. I keep feeling pain in right side that resembles ovulation pain coming and going and it's left me a complete mess. 😥

Neelamj · 27/10/2023 09:36

Hey

@TheBirdintheCave @Nushyboots so glad everything is going well, great news :)

@suz2285 @TheBirdintheCave hudband rang epu today and we got an early scan for 7 weeks and 2 days on the 10th of nov! so nervous wonder if we will see anything (last time tried to do internal but have anxiety so told them only can do abdominal)

@tulipsunday thank you:) this griup is super helpful helps me a lil with anxiety

thank you ladies you have really been helping me cope with my anxiety,

@pinkmarshmalloww welcome to the group not sure what I can say but ladies on this groyp have been helpful and I really hope everything goes well for you

sweetpotato29 · 27/10/2023 09:43

Hey all, sending congratulations to those who have had good news and love to those with anxiety - we are all with you and understand.

I've been a bit radio silent as have come down with the flu - even after having a double covid and flu jab a week or so ago! I feel horrendous & am not really sleeping. So worried about little baby & hope it's alright.

I've got my 16 week midwife app next Wednesday - does anyone know if I should ring up & let them know? Or do you just manage it at home? Been sick with this for about 1.5 weeks now

suz2285 · 27/10/2023 09:54

@tulipsunday I was awake a few hours in the night again, seems to be just a regular thing in pregnancy 🤷‍♀️

@pinkmarshmalloww hope you're ok, that sounds terrifying, hopefully not likely to happen again though 🤞🤞 everything crossed for you

@Neelamj that's good news! Least there's something in the diary for you! I had a scan at 6+5 at EPU and they did external first and managed to see everything, but I have also needed an internal before as well so it just depends, honestly the internal is totally fine it's not even uncomfortable at all, but they usually try abdominal first so hopefully that'll be fine 🤞🤞

@sweetpotato29 I'm sure everything will be totally fine, but sorry you're feeling rubbish, it's awful when you feel sick and there's not a lot you can do about it during pregnancy! You could ring the midwife and just ask, I assume they'll just say rest, water and paracetamol! That time of year for all the viruses going around isn't it, and then extra worry when you've got baby to worry about too, I hate being ill I turn into a total baby 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/10/2023 10:12

@suz2285 literally a pain in my bum 😂🙈

Baby's movements were painful last night too, and I'm only 27 weeks 🙈

Always the way isn't it @tulipsunday

@Neelamj did they agree to do abdominal? They tried with me at around 7/8weeks but couldn't see anything so had internal, which to my surprise wasn't as bad as I thought!
It just depends where everything is "positioned" she told me, because my womb was tilted or something so she couldn't see anything through my abdomen.

@sweetpotato29 you should be fine. Like @suz2285 said just rest and make sure your fluid intake is up, but if you are worried then get advice from your midwife or even a pharmacist although they'll probably suggest just contacting your midwife.

The lightheadedness/dizziness is ramping up lately 🙈

sweetpotato29 · 27/10/2023 10:17

Thank you both @Brokenpancreas94 @suz2285 that's what I thought! But didn't know if it was something to check. Yeah everyone and their son seems to have some sort of nasty cough/cold/flu atm! Hope you are both well

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/10/2023 10:19

@sweetpotato29 have you had your flu jab yet? The flu is rubbish though 😫 I think with pregnancy it just takes longer to recover because our immune system is working overtime anyway

sweetpotato29 · 27/10/2023 10:20

@Brokenpancreas94 I had covid jab in one arm and flu in the other less than 2 weeks ago! I don't know how I've managed to come down with this 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/10/2023 10:23

@sweetpotato29 you'll be okay then, the jabs will just make sure you don't get seriously ill, even though you probably feel like rubbish now! I was going to suggest metatone tonic to take as that helps loads when I'm ill, but just seen it's not advised when pregnant 😫

SparkleFly · 27/10/2023 21:56

Sorry folks just catching up on all the messages.

Welcome to the newbies and sorry to hear you've also had a shit time of it. Hopefully we will all have good news this time around 🙏

My phone won't always let me tag ppl for some reason but @sweetpotato29 hope you're feeling better soon and @pinkmarshmalloww that sounds absolutely awful but great that you're pregnant again. Fingers crossed for you this time.

I'm 14 weeks now and debating whether to go for a private scan at 16 weeks or not. Part of me wants the peace of mind, part of me feels like I'll just be going to get bad news and don't want it to be over yet. Oh the joys of missed miscarriages where you have no inkling of what's happened 😒 So I may just hold out until the official 20 week scan as if it's bad I'd rather find out at the hospital than at a private scan.

I need to keep reminding myself that I have had a healthy and problem-free pregnancy so my body can do it, but I'm just so paranoid about it, gah! 😩

tulipsunday · 28/10/2023 08:23

That wait between 12 and 20wks is hard so I empathise @SparkleFly hope it goes quickly for you.

Hope you are feeling ok @sweetpotato29
Dizziness any better @Brokenpancreas94

Have been feeling some pressure on my chest which I remember having with my son. Not breathless or in pain as such just feels a bit of pressure. Let midwife know and she said to keep an eye and if worse to go in for an ecg. Bit of tenderness in groin area so waiting to hear back if urine infection. All glamorous stuff 😂

I am due at hospital next week for scan to confirm MMC. I am cramping from time to time and getting a brown stringy discharge with a jelly like consistency, sometimes with little clumps attached. Sorry for the yucky description!!
Just wondering what this might be? Hoping that it turns red and things get going soon :(

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/10/2023 18:41

@Longbarn5 so sorry to see you're going through this, I've no idea what it is, but I had it in my mmc before I even knew it was a mmc, and then I had it this time round too, turned out to be old blood this time round, and I had a small bleed next to the pregnancy sac. Sending you lots of love ❤️

@tulipsunday it comes and goes, it's very bizarre, don't know if it's diabetes related, pregnancy related or my eyes in general...can't explain it! Probably all just hormones though 😅
Hope you're doing okay! X

At what week should we have established a "pattern" as such for movements? Is it 28weeks or earlier? X
