Thread 4 already! 2nd trimester! It's all going so quickly (but also so slowly)

Charlielechat · 25/06/2023 08:39

Thanks @wannabemum38 ! It sure is flying in!

TulipVictory · 25/06/2023 09:45

Checking in 😌

smldnlove · 25/06/2023 10:11

Hi all! Morning! So pleased this is set back up, was wondering why I wasn’t getting any notifications 😂 thanks for setting up @wannabemum38 x

RG84 · 25/06/2023 11:53

Hope everyone is doing well. 2nd trimester! 15 weeks tomorrow!

Feeling blaaa, loss of appetite and overall feeling like I can sleep through summer

Moriquendi · 25/06/2023 11:58

Thanks for the new thread 😊

Its so hot here! Really feeling it, on my second shower of the day in an attempt to cool down. Making me feel so tired! But unfortunately it’s making my 16 month old very grumpy instead 😩

FirstMondayInMay · 25/06/2023 12:36

Checking in☺️

has anyone found that they bruise really easily whilst pregnant? It normally takes a pretty good bang for me to bruise but I’ve woken up this morning with 2 bruises about 2-3cm each out of no where

GingerJanee · 25/06/2023 13:02

Thanks for the new thread 😊 can’t believe it’s second trimester already!

I’ve an exam tomorrow and usually I’m stuck in the books can’t move but unfortunately think I’ve caught a bug over the weekend and I’m completely wiped out! 😭 hoping it shifts a bit because it’ll be a fun 4 hours tomorrow running to the loo 🚽

Itonlytakesaminute · 25/06/2023 13:14

Hope everyone is ok. I've been away from the thread as has high risk for T21 from my 12 week screening. Had a long wait for a NIPT result that is low risk but it was a worrying time.
Had a reassurance scan yesterday and found out I'm having a little boy.
Can't believe I am at that point to find out already!

HappyPie82 · 25/06/2023 13:52

How’s everyone’s bumps starting to look?
I don’t feel like I have any sign of one yet (15w today) I just want to pop so I know that baby is growing and stop looking hot and fat 😅

I just feel fat. I'm 17.5 weeks gone up and cup size (or 2) and completely lost my waist. Luckily summer clothes is mainly dresses so not needed to worry about maternity clothes quite yet

I was about 3 cup sizes bigger 2 days after I tested positive 😅
DP thinks I’m starting to pop as I lost a stone in the first trimester from vomiting and he says I look like I’ve gained that back ( charming 😂) but I’d like it to look like a proper bump and not just blump

RG84 · 25/06/2023 14:39

@HappyPie82 I feel I have really bumped, they say you bump quicker with the 2nd baby etc. I work from home and on Friday evening I had a work event. I hadn't seen my colleagues for months and I haven't told anyone yet. I'm very sure they figured it out but of course couldn't ask me. I do however need to let me Manager know soon though.

Charlielechat · 25/06/2023 14:50

I definitely don't have a bump (13 weeks) but have definitely put on weight! Nothing fits me round the middle and hasn't done for weeks 🙈 Have gone up a cup size too!
Someone said your ribcage expands in pregnancy...can this happen without a bump? 😂

DaisyMay25 · 25/06/2023 16:36

Dropping in!

I'm getting a bump now, 14 weeks today but because I'm still not eating much I'm continuing to lose weight, my poor body doesn't know what to do!

Get my NT test results back yesterday and all seems low risk

Picked up the pram bundle today because I found the exact one I wanted on Vinted for a bargain, I know it's early but couldn't resist 😂

wannabemum38 · 25/06/2023 16:50

I have a little bump even though its my first at 16 weeks. Can't believe it's 4 months already crazy.
I had a scan on Friday as was still feeling anxious all OK thankfully.
We told our Vicar today who is marrying us in 2 months he was so happy for us which was nice. So hot here today Hooe you are all well x

I can’t work out if it’s a bump or not. I am so bloated and constipated so convinced it’s just bloat but it’s so consistent. It’s there morning day and night. Will have to see how it grows over next few weeks, 13 weeks yesterday ✨

@DaisyMay25 Ive basically got a full on wardrobe from Vinted now and just keep collecting little bits so don’t worry, I’m definitely with you! What pram bundle did you get?! Have you bought anything else?

DaisyMay25 · 25/06/2023 17:37

@smldnlove oh that's exciting! I'm lucky two friends have just had babies and another due soon so they're saving me clothes.
I got the cosatto mister fox bundle with car seat, isofix base, carry cot, pram, frame, changing bag, foot muff and changing mat for £200! It's my favourite print, still got the bedding from when my son was little too for the cot so I'm very pleased

If anyone hasn't heard of the Australian brand bonds before I 100% reccomend. They have two way zip sleepsuits so can zip up from the bottom making nappy changing so easy!

Charmainebelle · 25/06/2023 17:59

Hi everyone! Can I join? I'm 35 and this is my first pregnancy so it's all new to me! I've been enjoying reading the thread it's so useful for comparing notes and asking questions! My due date is 9th December so I'm 16 weeks along.

Mushroo · 25/06/2023 18:02

Checking back in :)

I think I have a small bump but tbh I feel less bloated than I did a couple of weeks ago. Told parents / siblings / close friends this weekend which was exciting!

smldnlove · 25/06/2023 18:19

Oops sorry I’m 14 weeks not 13 weeks* that’s how quickly it’s flying by!

@DaisyMay25 Thank you for the recommendation ! Will definitely take a look as finding the buggy choice a bit of a minefield, seems to be so many on the market. Lucky you have some great friends recently pregnant too! X

DaisyMay25 · 25/06/2023 18:22

@smldnlove try find somewhere that has a lot on display and try them out. They're so expensive though but I love the cosatto prints. Try looking for any mum2mum markets near you too, great for second hand stuff!

Vsah22 · 25/06/2023 18:54

Glad everyone’s screenings appear to have come back okay!

We’ve just hit the 14 week mark and there’s no hiding the bump now but I’m on the short side so wasn’t surprised for it to appear early. We told our immediate family but that’s it so far. I was trying to hold off telling work until I was ready as it’s our first and we wanted to be sure it was all going okay but I’m going to have to bring that forward as it’s too obvious. Not ideal as I wanted to get everything organised first to avoid them panicking.

Has anyone had bad dizziness? I’ve woken up three times this last week with really bad vertigo which then caused sickness and took a chunk of the day to recover. I’ve upped my water intake even more especially with the heat and bought a pregnancy pillow which seems to have helped massively. The pollen count has been really high too so wondered if it was linked to that or simply just lower blood pressure when waking up.

17caterpillars1mouse · 25/06/2023 20:11

Checking in. I'm 17 + 4 weeks and definitely sporting a bump now
