Thanks for the new thread @wannabemum38 😊
I'm 15+4 with my first and have a bit of a bump starting quite low down but honestly most of the weight I've put on has gone to my belly so it's a bump with a jelly belly on top 😂
Hope everyone is well, I've been pretty wiped out this weekend and had headaches a lot too.

@NoodleQueen90 what a cute bump loving the striped dress. I got one similar on vinted!
This heat is hard today almost fainted in church this morning!

No bump here, at 16 weeks with my 2nd baby. Definitely still in the bloated and fat phase 😂😭. Really hope I pop soon, but I didn’t pop for ages with my first baby (and then it grew so fast, I was enormous by the end!) . Hoping for an earlier bump this time around 🤞

Mushroo · 25/06/2023 21:21

I started my ‘bump photos’ today at 13 weeks but it’s definitely just podge.

I go on holiday in 2 weeks and would like a more definitive bump by then but seems unlikely.

Undercoverunicorn · 25/06/2023 21:24

Hi, can I join? Due 3rd Dec (scan) or 6th (ivf dates) but the hospital and midwife can't seem to agree with each other which one to pick. So I'm either 16+ 4 or 17 weeks. DC 2 for me and I already have a HUGE bump. Started showing about 8 weeks, but that was mainly bloat from the IVF medication, but its never gone, just kept growing 😂

EmW102 · 25/06/2023 21:42

16+4 and definite bump here, wouldn't be able to hide it! Second pregnancy and I look the same as I did at 20 weeks last time.

Pitstop1986 · 25/06/2023 21:43

I've had a bump for a good few weeks now. I seemed to pop right out overnight at about 11 weeks and it's just stuck around. Hasn't gotten any bigger, thankfully, but I'm still a lot bigger now at 16+3 than I was at this point with my daughter.

Mushroo · 25/06/2023 21:50

Oh also - this might be just where I am, but a friend has just informed me to get her nursery place, she had to phone the nursery when she was only 16 weeks pregnant.

It seems mad, but you may want to check what it like locally x

wannabemum38 · 25/06/2023 23:18

@Mushroo wow that's scary so early! I haven't decided when I want them to go to nursery yet but crazy it has to be so quick

Took me ages to find this from thread 3...!
Due Dec 7th!

SMG1992 · 26/06/2023 08:24

I'm currently 15+5 with my first and am seeing a little bump but to other people it probably looks like a podge/ bloating.
Looking forward to it popping - I'm hoping that should happen in the next week or so.

Flowers90 · 26/06/2023 10:35

Anyone else getting really bad leg pains? I had hip/pelvic area pian over the weekend. Today my calves and legs are so painful even the slightest amount of walking hurts.

wannabemum38 · 26/06/2023 11:09

@Flowers90 i sometimes get cramp in my calf at night. I'd ask your MW as you might be getting sciatica my best mate got it quite early on.

Met my MW at my midwife check today she is really nice. All okay and they did listen to heartbeat and found it straight away but it was up to me if I wanted to listen to it. But little one was playing ball and boom loud and strong I felt proud lol feeling little bit less anxious now.
Hope you are all doing okay ladies x

@wannabemum38 @Mushroo It is crazy that we would have to think about nursery already! I haven't decided yet but I think the way our dates have fallen means we will all benefit from the change in the governments free childcare - from September 2024 its 15 free hours for 9months and over, then September 2025 30 hours! Handy to know when thinking about maternity leave!

wannabemum38 · 26/06/2023 11:33

@Charmainebelle oh I didn't know that new change thanks that is handy to know and good timing for us!

FirstMondayInMay · 26/06/2023 13:14

@Charmainebelle ooh I didn’t know about that either, thanks! Really good to know as I was going to wait until baby is 2 to go back to university

Flowers90 · 26/06/2023 13:25

Weve had a massive increase In concession fees for our 3 year old who was due to start a nursery in September. Shes now staying on with her childminder! Lots of childcare providers in our area think the nurseries will either follow this and increase concessions or childcare places will be extremely hard to find as there is already a long waiting list for most!

DaisyMay25 · 26/06/2023 14:42

@Flowers90 oh god I hope no more increases, even with 30 free hours my son goes 4 days a week and we pay £700 a month, it's so expensive!!
I'm tempted to not go back to work after maternity but not sure yet

RG84 · 26/06/2023 14:44

My daughter starts nursery in September with her 30 hours. Just couldn't afford to send her to nursery before as it is sooo expensive. Thank god they are introducing this new policy next year as I probably won't take a full year off this time. I had 2 years off with first baby.

Charmainebelle · 26/06/2023 14:47

@Flowers90 That's interesting to know! Hard to co-ordinate getting on a waiting list for a nursery when it's my first so I'm not sure what age I'll feel ok about it going! What age have people put any of their other children in nursery? I don't know if they'll feel too little at 9 months!

Mushroo · 26/06/2023 14:54

@Charmainebelle im a first time mum but mine will be going in January 2025, simply because I can’t afford more than a year off on mat leave! I earn more than nursery will cost so I just can’t justify staying home :/.

Luckily my parents have said they’ll do 2 days, but I’ve asked nursery for 4 days, as easier to drop days than increase just in case anything changes between now and then. Will confirm actual days nearer the time!

If feels so early and I thought nursery would laugh in my face calling now, but they said I was right to get the ball rolling.

HappyPie82 · 26/06/2023 14:57

I've made one enquiry to our local nursery and started browsing the websites of other local choices.
From friends experience they've had to get their baby signed up before birth to get places and I think could be even more limited by the new funding arrangements. I'm planning to be back full time October 23 when baby's funding will start so will have our enquires in over the next few weeks to find out when we need to apply for places. Seems very previous when we haven't even had the 20w scan yet!!

Justanothercyster · 26/06/2023 15:04

Found you all! Sorry, been quiet as super tiring with toddler in tow. BUT sickness has eased massively now which is a godsend, the cravings for cheese though are ridiculous omg.

Get on the nursery places asap I would say! Luckily it sounds like #2 will be able to auto place at my daughters one for a discount which is super handy, hope this one's as easy going as she is 😂

How's everyone else doing? What are you all craving out of interest? I cried whilst eating a pizza last night because it was so good 🥲

Nclktnntt · 26/06/2023 15:08

I thought our other thread had been quiet 🙈 just found this one.

Had my scan today 🥰 all fine and I'm a little further ahead than thought 13wks 5days and just the one in there. I had to jiggle around, wobble back and forth to get them to turn around, she was laughing as they like to lie on their side and not their back. Like their momma that is 😂

New due date is 27.12. We can start buying things and looking at everything we need. Scary how much stuff we need!

Good luck to anyone left still to go for theirs 😊 hope everyone's doing well.

Flower35214 · 26/06/2023 15:36

Just found you guys! Been a bit quiet on the last thread as have a manic toddler! Also in the stage of pregnancy where I don't look/feel pregnant but hoping everything is okay. 16 weeks today x
