Thank you, still waiting to be seen. Still bleeding, just not as much. I'm exhausted, I came here straight from work last night.

I hope everyone else is OK

They've not seen you yet? Have they not sent you to the triage ward? Did you call triage? Where I am they recommend triage over a&e when pregnancy related. Thinking of you! Glad there's less bleeding, sorry they're taking so long, I'm genuinely shocked and angry for you that they haven't seen you yet 😡

Mushroo · 29/06/2023 06:48

@Georgia31 I hope you’ve been seen and everything is ok, thinking of you x

RG84 · 29/06/2023 07:45

@Georgia31 I hope you are doing okay thinking of you. really hope you get seen soon. Unfair you've had to wait this long to get seen under the circumstances.

Georgia31 · 29/06/2023 07:56

Thanks for all your well wishes. I've finally been seen, I've been diagnosed with cervical ectropion, which is causing the bleeding. So it's positive, my cervix is still closed, which is a massive relief. I've got to have Anti D and a scan to check baby to be on the safe side due to 2 previous miscarriages one being last June.

Thanks again🥰 I've been advised to take today off work. so I'm going to try to get some sleep x

NoodleQueen90 · 29/06/2023 07:59

So glad everything is ok with the baby @Georgia31. You take care of yourself and get some rest ❤x

SMG1992 · 29/06/2023 08:04

@Georgia31 That must have been so stressful for you, definitely take some time to get some rest. I'm glad the outcome was positive for you!

I have a private gender scan this evening at 16+1 - I'm feeling mostly excited but there still is that little bit of doubt from my previous MMC, I think scans just bring back some trauma for me

Nclktnntt · 29/06/2023 08:07

Oh that is good news @Georgia31 so glad it's all positive. Definitely get some rest today!

RG84 · 29/06/2023 08:56

Glad everything is well @Georgia31 take care and get plenty of rest x

wannabemum38 · 29/06/2023 09:01

Glad all is OK @Georgia31
@smldnlove I was really nervous about telling work as only started in April. My manager was lovely about it though. We have 4 others in our team who I'm telling next week. We are merging with another department and other managers need to be told as they won't have me by December.
My bump seems to be coming and going lately which is weird one day I look huge the next it seems to disappear!
3 weeks til the next scan I cant wait.

@Charlielechat I went through a phase of having headaches but thankfully been about a week since I had one.

@Georgia31 Glad things look positive. Hope you have a restful day off.

Beans1982 · 29/06/2023 09:56

@Georgia31 So sorry you had to wait for so long to be seen, but glad things are okay.
I hope your day off work gives you time to rest and feel better x

Beans1982 · 29/06/2023 10:02

Forgot to say thanks everyone for the replies about how you got your blood test results from your 12-week scan.

I'm now on day nine and haven't heard any news so I'll wait for my midwife appointment in a couple of weeks to find out the results.

HappyPie82 · 29/06/2023 10:57

Had my 16w appointment today at 15+4. She didn't use the doppler which I was hoping for, but otherwise seemed routine.
Trying to convince my partner we should book a private gender scan before 20w scan as he may potentially have to travel for work then. We'll find out 2w before if he is so we can probably book one closer to the time.
I just want to check bub is ok. I think I might have felt my very first movements last night, woke up in the middle of the night and had the sensation of the tiniest of bubbles low down in my tummy, much softer than being gassy and maybe only for 5-10 minutes.

Perrie2 · 29/06/2023 14:00

Due with my first on 10th December!!!!!! so far its been really tough, Ive had hyperemesis so could barely eat/was in hospital a lot for my 1st trimester. Got our gender scan booked for Saturday so excited for that, I thought I knew but now im totally split!

Charlielechat · 29/06/2023 14:43

Glad everything was ok @Georgia31 I'm sure it was scary nonetheless!

Charmainebelle · 29/06/2023 15:14

I had a gender scan last weekend and we're expecting a little boy. We're very happy but were surprised as all predictions based on the nub theory were girl!
I also had my 16 week midwife app yesterday and she listened to the heartbeat which was a nice surprise! Whooping cough vaccine next week as apparently that's the only one we have to book manually, apparently we get invited for flu vaccines etc automatically. My blood type is 0 -ve so also booked in to get anti-D injections.

My main symptom at the moment is headaches but my blood pressure is very low so not too concerned about pre-eclampsia currently....how is everyone else feeling?

RG84 · 29/06/2023 16:34

I have my 16 week appointment on Monday, hoping the midwife can hear the heartbeat. My sugars have been high and low as I have Type 2 dietbeties since Dec 22 and I'm a ceoliac for the last 15 years so trying to marry both together has been difficult so midwife has booked an appointment with the dietitian on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll get some meal ideas that combine ceoliac and dietbeties.
I also have a private gender scan next week Sunday 9th, not sure what to expect, I'm also split 50/50. I have a 3 year old girl. However when me and my partner chat about the baby, we automatically refer to her as a girl without knowing we do that lol..probably should wait hey!

Suffering major headaches pretty much every other day so will address this on Monday. Have no appetite 😕 and just feeling blaaa. Tummy has been feeling tight for a couple of days, anyone getting that?

SMG1992 · 29/06/2023 20:49

Just had a private gender scan and am expecting a boy - I’m so excited and I love that now I know!
also listened to the heartbeat which was so lovely
feeling very blessed and looking forward to midwife appointment next Wednesday

Charlielechat · 29/06/2023 21:14

@ThomasinaLivesHere @RG84 did you take paracetamol for your headaches? I took 2 on Tuesday night and 2 before work this morning but I'm so conscious of taking too much. Feeling miserable tonight as I have a sore throat now too 😞

RG84 · 29/06/2023 21:47

@Charlielechat to be honest I haven't taken any paracetamols because my headaches are so sever and frequent that I'd be popping pills every second. I've just been plodding along and it's been very difficult. I have my 16 week appointment on Monday so I will discuss it then. I'm prone to get headaches in the heat and its been very hot lately and then pregnancy headaches as well. I asked boots over the counter if I can take 4head and the lady said no but I've read online you can so I don't know. I'll ask on Monday. I've also had a horrible cough since 2nd week of May and it has just got worse so eventually my GP prescribed me antibiotics which I was reluctant to take but they reassured me it was fine. However after taking them, the cough is still there so I'm going to have to go to a&e. I could say the cough has gone actually but what's making the cough reappear is the sharp pains in my ear which is then filtering down to my throat which is causing the cough. Uurrrgghhhhh 😭

Itonlytakesaminute · 29/06/2023 22:05

@Beans1982 if there is any concerns they would call you within 3 days - well they do in my trust and letter if not. I got the call but the screening midwives were lovely

Itonlytakesaminute · 29/06/2023 22:07

@Charlielechat headaches have hit me over the past few weeks alongside fatigue, and tonight it's made me sick :( they are awful

Charlielechat · 29/06/2023 22:14

@RG84 that's awful 😞 what a terrible time you've had! I have done so much googling and paracetamol seems to be ok but "the smallest dose for the shortest amount of time" is so vague, so it's hard to know what's right to do.

@Itonlytakesaminute they're so annoying! Ive had them occasionally but this week it's been almost every day 😣

Landsmen · 29/06/2023 23:29

@Charlielechat at least you can take paracetamol - I'm allergic to it very rare so have been suffering through

I'm lying in bed trying to sleep but being kicked in the bladder. Admittedly still gentle kicks but my baby is only active in the night time. I know it's still early days for mkceme but I can definitely feel it at 18+1 with number 3

ThomasinaLivesHere · 30/06/2023 07:52

@Charlielechat yes I took paracetamol but try to take it sparingly
