I had my scan today! It went well :) saw the little bean’s heartbeat and saw them squirm around a little bit. Shed a few tears with relief.

suz2285 · 26/05/2023 12:53

@confused6789 did you call anyone to get checked up with the spotting? It can be totally normal but if you're feeling not right maybe call and get checked?

@Eirlys1986 lol at your kid having a meltdown in sains, not ideal 😂 I don't envy you mums doing this for the second time I feel miserable enough just looking after myself!!

@Mummyme87 it's so weird my stomach is rumbling but as soon as I eat I'm so bloated, constantly feeling sick but having to force myself to eat as it makes me feel slightly Better! I'm also dehydrated cos I'm just not thirsty either!!

@Coinicon that's so tough, I just booked my midwife today, after a MC earlier this year I waited this time until 6 weeks to book it in, I'd have waited longer but I don't want to miss getting an appointment in time! I completely see your point tho about pushing the treatment back, I think here it doesn't delay it if you have managed to get pregnant in the meantime, let's hope all goes well this time for both of us 🤞

No one seems to be having bad nausea, mine has been ridiculous from week 5 onward! Now I'm slightly concerned with the bloating and the nausea that there's more than one in there! 😂

I'm completely floored from about 4pm onward with feeling wiped out and so sick, not actually being sick just sore bloated stomach/nausea and no appetite but having to force myself to eat because it helps a bit.... the nausea is all day but it's a little more bearable during the day! And that's with me also taking anti sickness tablets 🙈

suz2285 · 26/05/2023 12:54

@lucya66 such good news! How far along are you?

Glad to hear it went well 😊

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 13:31

@suz2285 sorry to hear you are feeling so sick, gotta admit my friend had similar and she did indeed have 2 in there (and she already had a 2 year old at home eek!)
It is definitely kinda hard not being able to focus on myself this time round with a toddler in tow but he’s a great distraction. Plus we feel like we’re more confident/better prepared for what’s next this time (check in with me re:that in 8ish months to see if that’s what I’m still saying 😂)

Is anyone else just constantly changing their mind on foods? Everyday I want new things - think oh is this a craving and then the next day I'm moving on to something new, It's so random! 🙈

100% it's so so random. My fridge is full of the most random stuff and none of it is finished.

Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking for two weeks but going to say a tentative hello having just got my 3+ on my weeks indicator. I’m 5+2 I think. Have had two scans already as had pain and spotting but pregnancy is in the right place. I have a subseptate uterus with increased risk of miscarriage and preterm birth. I’ve had two early losses and have one gorgeous 2 year old boy. I’m 38.

I’be been put on progesterone by epau. Anyone else taking this? Next scan is in just under 2 weeks.

Feeling rough between breakfast and lunch but ok once I force myself to eat lunch tho feel off lots of food already. Wondering if it’s the progesterone or possibly proceive first trimester making things worse. The insomnia is soooo bad.

Hi to ladies from the ttc 35+ thread! 🥰@Mummyme87 @TrudyProud and hey ovulation pal - @Eirlys1986 !

Messaging to hopefully receive notifications again. love this group for reassurance :) xx

Vikki7 · 26/05/2023 14:06

I had my private scan today and was so happy to see baby with a very decent heartbeat wiggling all around. I measured between 8+1 - 8+3. Saw some little arm and leg buds - so cute! Oh the relief, I was so happy and teary!

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 14:09

Ahhh hey @Muriel84 🙌🏻. Amazing about the 3+weeks test. Maybe I should buy a digital test for something else to pee on? 🤔 I feel like I’ve been lucky on the nausea and insomnia front so far. I’ve stopped drinking my proceive now as I suspect it would make me pukey.

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 14:11

@Vikki7 oh so cute! I’m having a private scan at 8 weeks day after our return from holiday. Didn’t want to do a scan before we went in case of any uncertainty etc as that would kill me whilst away! So glad your scan went well. Such a happy feeling 😊

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 14:24

@drjodiyogi how dare you provide a yoghurt that was too chilly?

lucya66 · 26/05/2023 15:05

@Vikki7 great news in the scan. I was the same as you measured 8w 3d when I thought I was 8w6d but she said that was fine.

the fetal heart rate was 171 :) do you know yours?

sashastuck · 26/05/2023 15:25

@Flossiepot YES regarding food and cravings.. the only thing that has remained consistent for me is cheese, which makes sense as I’ve always been a cheese fiend.

@Vikki7 @lucya66 congratulations on your scans! I’m so excited for mine on Tuesday!

Welcome to newcomers xx

Ahhh so glad I'm not the only one!
Think my nausea is finally kicking in now, I'm finding if I eat a cracker or rich tea biscuit every half an hour I can keep it just about at bay 😳
So happy for those who have had their early scans too, got mine a week on Sunday 🙏🏽

Miniheart · 26/05/2023 16:59

So wonderful to hear you’ve had positive scans @lucya66 and @Vikki7, fantastic news.

It’s been a day of waves of nausea and tiredness for me and now off to pick up the toddler from nursery, no rest here! I think someone here said they have a hen do tomorrow? I do too… not sure how I’m going to pretend not to drink at a boat party and bottomless brunch - eeek!

I’m also on a Hen Do tomorrow! I’m a police officer so I’ve told the bride that I’m on duty on Sunday so I’ll not be able to drink. I’m definitely not looking forward to getting the train and having to manage being tired 🤣

A826 · 26/05/2023 18:10

Had my scan today and all went well. Such a relief. Baby measuring 7+1. Now just to get through the next few weeks!

Hope you manage to get through the day ok! I’ve told the hen I’m pregnant so she’s on board and will be taking my drinks for me haha!

@A826 great news! Such a relief for the reassurance!

Luhou · 26/05/2023 19:23

Hi ladies,

Anybody feeling bloated to the point they look very pregnant? I'm 6 weeks this weekend and feel like I am obviously pregnant. I know this is likely bloating but still worried people are going to notice soon.

sashastuck · 26/05/2023 19:33

@Luhou by the end of the day, yes definitely. I undress when I get home from work and just sit there with belly out, rubbing it as if I’m 6 months 😂 I’m struggling with what to wear though!

@A826 aww that’s lovely! X

@sashastuck good to know. I am dissapointed with myself because I'm overweight at as it. Feel like I am giving myself a bit of a hard time, think I'm just obese and pretending it's pregnancy related. Feel like it's getting me down a bit and hormona aren't helping. Had some tears tonight over nothing 😭

FirstT1meMum · 26/05/2023 19:46

Is anyone else struggling with temperature? We've had some gorgeous weather this week and I've been really warm at work but then it comes to about 7/8 at night and I'm so cold! Sat under my thick winter blanket while hubby is in shorts haha! Then overnight I can get quite warm again - not sure if it's as I get more tired through the day?
