@Lightningrain yeah they’re fine. We give them to women all the time

RaspberryTime · 25/05/2023 22:23

Hi all, I’m 7 weeks today and am plucking up the courage to join after having lurked for the last week! I had a scan at 5+6 after some really strong stomach pain but thankfully all went well and I saw baby’s heartbeat. Having had a miscarriage in February, this was honestly the best news! Now trying to keep the positivity and faith and reading about everyone else’s journeys on here :)

stressshead · 25/05/2023 22:27

Thank you for the tag for new thread.
Hope everyone is doing ok xx

A826 · 25/05/2023 22:44

Starting having some light brown spotting last night, hasn’t came to anything but naturally panicking!! 7+2. Booked for scan tomorrow so fingers toes and everything crossed!!

lucya66 · 26/05/2023 07:24

Over here I have trapped wind and vivid dreams! Dreamt last night the baby came and I had none of the stuff so couldn’t change their little nappy!! It was lovely but also scary haha.

I have my first scan today (private) and I’m 8w6d. Nervous in case they say there’s no heart beat! But hopefully not as I’ve got all the symptoms. Sickness, veiny boobs, terrible bloat in the evenings. Tiredness. Etc etc

good luck everyone!

Hopealive · 26/05/2023 08:32

I am just nervous everyday. I have booked my reassurance private scan for Saturday and I will be 7 weeks. I am hoping for the best. The only symptoms I have is evening tiredness, bloating and warm body temps. My boobs don’t hurt as much which is worrying for me. In my first I had all kinds of symptoms but with this it’s different. I hope everyone is ok. I’m in for the Facebook group as well.

Salamander91 · 26/05/2023 08:34

@drjodiyogi gosh no I couldn't handle the pressure 😂

Good luck with your scans @A826 @lucya66 @Hopealive

lackingpatience · 26/05/2023 09:07

Morning all.

I’d popped into the first round of this thread, but shall reintroduce quickly.

First baby. 5w 6 today. Been feeling ok. Occasionally boobs hurt, occasional feelings of ick (particularly after breakfast). Mostly I’m just really tired by the end of the day and go pee more than ever before!

When we were trying someone recommended 28ish days later, which was absolutely fantastic. It’s not about conception per se, but about your cycle. Very interesting and very well done. Completely recommend, they’re circa 15 mins ish in length. So not a big time swamp. Basically, I am now on the hunt for some interesting listening for this next step and wondering if anyone had any podcasts or anything they’d recommend?

Lululumpkin · 26/05/2023 09:24

@lackingpatience completely agree - it's a fab podcast. I've just discovered Jessie Ware's "Is this normal?" which is great!

I am 7 weeks today and had my first appointment with the gynaecologist who gave me a scan as standard (I live in France!) so got to see bubba's heart rate! Insaaaane!

Lilothblos · 26/05/2023 09:52

@lackingpatience I’d second Jessie Ware’s podcast! Also Midwife Pip Podcast, there’s loads of episodes up about all kinds of topics pregnancy and baby related.

Lilothblos · 26/05/2023 09:52

@Lululumpkin congrats on the scan! Glad all is going well

beatuff · 26/05/2023 09:54

Hi everyone,

I'm 5 weeks 6 with my first 🙂 tired and a little bit anxious about it all

Hope everyone's okay!

MrsJ6921 · 26/05/2023 09:54

It is completely normal for symptoms to fluctuate. You may have some symptoms, all the symptoms or no symptoms but they’re all completely normal. Try not to worry so much, relax and enjoy being pregnant x

Lightningrain · 26/05/2023 10:06

I’ve just managed to change my booking appointment to next week as the original one was going to be while I was away on holiday.

I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and had a bit of nausea yesterday. I was hoping I might have got away without nausea/sickness but maybe it’s just later than others.

I’m still very tired in the afternoons with sore boobs and I’m not really fancying many foods. Meat seems to be a particular dislike but weirdly I can eat meat when it’s inside something (burger in a bun or chicken goujons are ok but pieces of beef or chicken in a stir fry is a no and I just eat the veg).

lackingpatience · 26/05/2023 10:15

Thank you for the recommendations @Lilothblos and @Lululumpkin I’ll go check them out. Work is quite quiet at the moment so I need some distractions!

Mummyme87 · 26/05/2023 11:15

So exhausted at the moment. I’m asleep on the sofa every night, yawning all day. Slept until 7.20 this morning which was dreamy, not straight through obvs but was nice. Not too much sickness today, well no vomiting anyway.

confused6789 · 26/05/2023 11:30

Hey did any one keep testing for a while and drive themselves mad for a while like I am?

I'm 6 weeks today and something just doesn't feel right. I've tested on first response and my test line has never gotten darker than the control and my clear blue digital was 2-3 on Monday and has went back to 1-2 today.

My spotting has mostly stopped though which I suppose is a positive sign?
Just can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.
There are no early scan appointments available for another two weeks 😞

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 11:44

Hello all 👋, joining after @Mummyme87 suggested from our over 35 ttc group. Just about 6 weeks now and feeling tentatively confident to join as had my booking visit booked in this morning by my surgery and have started to feel sick briefly for first time today 🤢. I’m 37 and this is my second pregnancy, already have my 19 month old son who really made me question my sanity on a number 2 this morning whilst having a meltdown in sainsburys this morning 😂

Mummyme87 · 26/05/2023 12:06

Welcome @Eirlys1986 yes I’m regularly questioning why I’m doing this again when my other two act like absolute baffoons and don’t listen to me. But here we are 😬😵‍💫 sickness is just awful isn’t it. Such a horrible feeling. I wake a couple of times in the night and sometimes I’m feeling sick from as early as 1am 🫤 I’ve noticed the last two days I’m just constantly starving which really is not ideal!!!

Flossiepot · 26/05/2023 12:15

Is anyone else just constantly changing their mind on foods? Everyday I want new things - think oh is this a craving and then the next day I'm moving on to something new, It's so random! 🙈

Coinicon · 26/05/2023 12:20

Hi can I join 😊

Will be 7 weeks on Monday.

I had a MMC detected New Year’s Eve 2020 and have been ttc ever since so it’s taken a while to get here.

We had been referred to fertility as it had taken so long so was just waiting on getting an appointment date (super long wait in my area for appointments) when this great news has happened.

I’ve not yet contacted my GP/midwifery as I’m terrified of having another MMC and also losing the fertility appointment once they find out we managed to conceive on our own and being back to square one 🙁 (here you have to try for two years with no pregnancy before being referred).

It’s so difficult, I have found myself crying every day even though it’s supposed to be a happy time, I just want everything to be fine and to have my rainbow baby. My symptoms are way less strong this time so it’s making me worried.

I think I probably get the 12 week scan privately and then take it from there 🙏

Eirlys1986 · 26/05/2023 12:24

@Mummyme87 oh no! The 1am nausea sounds absolutely pants. I am luckily only feeling mildly sick first thing but constantly eating(I remember basically a constant drip feed of food is what helped me manage my nausea in first pregnancy). Am a bit concerned for all inclusive holiday in just over a week as will be 7 weeks then…..prime vom territory 😂

RaspberryTime · 26/05/2023 12:48

@Flossiepot YES! I went off everything sweet last week so stocked up on savoury snacks…now all I want is a Fry’s Turkish Delight 😂
