@Miniheart sorry to hear the nasuea has kicked in. I had it from 4 weeks first time round and I'll be honest I think I will be a bit relieved when it arrives. My lack of symptoms keep making me worried I am not actually pregnant!

Miniheart · 25/05/2023 15:39

@Luhou yes it’s a strange feeling wanting symptoms to confirm you’re still pregnant but also then having to deal with them, when they come. I had really bad nausea first time around so really hope it doesn’t get worse. Won’t wish it on you but also hope some mild symptoms can at least help with the reassurance!

Mummyme87 · 25/05/2023 15:51

@Lightningrain chlorphenamine and Loratadine are fine in pregnancy. Ceterizine is the one to avoid.

vomited twice today. Once at home and again at work, kneeling on the floor of a labour ward staff toilet is not the one 🤢

Mummyme87 · 25/05/2023 15:52

Also carbs!!!! Couldn’t eat my overnight oats this morning but have seemed to eat a carbonara, a tuna sandwich and packet of crisps no issue

Luhou · 25/05/2023 16:10

Thanks @Miniheart I've actually resorted to buying another test to do this afternoon 🙃 I think because I had such early symptoms first time round, it feels less real. I feel like I keep reminding myself I am pregnant throughout the day! Hope it's milder for you this time round. What age gap will you have?

Mellous · 25/05/2023 16:15

Hi all. I've been lurking since the first thread but have been too anxious to post due to lots of bleeding...

I'm 8 weeks today and have been bleeding on and off since 6 weeks. I've had two scans due to this (last one was at 7+2) and there is still a little baby with a heartbeat but also a bleed next to the sac (subchorionic hematoma). I'm still so on edge as it's really unsettling to see blood but just hoping this little one will be okay.

This is my third pregnancy. I had a mmc in 2020, my little boy in 2022 he's 15 months.

Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies!

sashastuck · 25/05/2023 16:18

@Mellous Welcome and congratulations! That must have been really scary, but glad they know the cause of the bleeding. Best wishes for a wonderful pregnancy x

@Mummyme87 noooo! Sorry about the sickness but you’ve just made me hungry for a carbonara and tuna sandwich…

Redpanda21 · 25/05/2023 16:21

@Mellous i also had a mmc in 2020 and a 15 month old.

I’m a bag of nerves at the moment, have a scan on Tuesday when I’ll be about 6 weeks so hopefully will put my mind at rest.

Fingers crossed your sch reabsorbs x

Matildahoney · 25/05/2023 16:25

I've just got back from an 8 week scan, all looks good! Just got the next 4 weeks to get through now!

xLJ1990x · 25/05/2023 16:29

@Miniheart I definitely want to eat a lot too! Some days I feel like I'm constantly snacking.

EL27 · 25/05/2023 16:44

Hello again all,
I just had an early scan too! 7+6 days I thought but measuring 7+5 which sonographer said is fine! Thought I may be having an internal vaginal scan as it's still early but managed to see it all with the ultrasound and saw the flickering heartbeat!

Made it all feel so much more real, I've been feeling so paranoid and anxious lately something is wrong and the sonographer was really helpful.

He did mention something about a small cyst on my right ovary which apparently is common in pregnancy and most likely caused from being the side I ovulated. It explains why I have had some pain twinges in this side but he said its nothing to worry about. Yet I am still a little worried - anyone had something similar or know more about it?

Salamander91 · 25/05/2023 17:01

I got my letter for my 12 week scan today! It's on the 19th June which seems forever away right now lol even though its only 3.5 weeks. I'm hoping the diabetic team will see me before that because they usually give me a scan too.

Salamander91 · 25/05/2023 17:03

I would be interested in a fb group if one is set up. I'm in them for all my other children and it's lovely to catch up with everyone.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 25/05/2023 17:13

I'm 6 weeks today, got my booking in text this afternoon for 14th June so just under 3 weeks, I'll be 8w6d at that point and I guess I'll be receiving my 12 week scan letter over the next few weeks, by dates that'll be the week from 6th July onwards.
I said I'd wait until the weekend to do my dating test, but couldn't help myself and got my 3+ today

Miniheart · 25/05/2023 17:16

@Mellous must be horrible having to see the blood and really hope it passes soon. So nice you’ve been able to see the baby and heartbeat.

@Matildahoney lovely news for you, I’m 5+1 and planning to book a scan at 8 weeks and it feels so far away still.

@Luhou i also took another pregnancy test yesterday just to check as hadn’t had any symptoms so I’m with you on that. Hope it’s still a strong positive! We’ll have a 2 years 5 months gap. How about you?

Luhou · 25/05/2023 17:32

@Miniheart It's tiring look after a todler isn't it! My DD will be 3years 3 months once baby arrives

Bims2019 · 25/05/2023 18:05

@Lightningrain I took piriton (which has chlorphenamine in) a couple of weeks ago because the NHS website said it was fine in pregnancy. Then when I saw the midwife yesterday she said not to take anything🤦🏼‍♀️ there's so much conflicting advice! But I figure if the NHS website says it's ok then that's good enough for me, I probably won't take unless it's absolutely needed.

suz2285 · 25/05/2023 18:16

@Mummyme87 eugh I hear ya, luckily my nausea seems worse at night, I actually feel ok ish during the day but once I'm home from work, omg I don't know what to do with myself im lying here all bloated and feeling so sick... have you been having nausea all day?

MimosasInFrance · 25/05/2023 19:45

Hi @Mellous - welcome! I'm in the same position re: subchorionic haematoma. Found on a scan after a very scary heavy bleed (and two more since). So unsettling, but a lot of what I've read online suggests it's common.

They're scanning me again next week (8 weeks) to see how it's going.

Lilothblos · 25/05/2023 19:53

@EL27 and @Matildahoney congrats on your scans today, must have been so nice to see your little ones doing well!

JaffaCake123 · 25/05/2023 20:11

I am 6 weeks today and the nausea has started 🤢 I am also craving peanut butter, which I didn't with my last pregnancy! Anyone else had any interesting cravings?

Lululumpkin · 25/05/2023 20:41

What a saviour this forum is to find when keeping it a secret from most people in real life! I’m 6+6 today with my first (due 12th Jan) and felt human for the first time in two weeks (no nausea) - though of course now I’m worrying!

But slept terribly last night with trapped wind and really vivid dreams! Anyone else?

LondonNQT · 25/05/2023 21:35

Me @Lululumpkin - really bizarre and vivid dreams!

Very keen for a Facebook group in due course - much easier to keep track long term.

Matildahoney · 25/05/2023 22:02

@Lilothblos thank you, massive relief after a miscarriage at some point before 12 weeks in September! I was never told at which point it was, but all good for now!

Lightningrain · 25/05/2023 22:05

Thank you @Mummyme87 and @Bims2019 I found a couple of websites which said those two were safe to take but then others seem to suggest none are!

I think I’ll just see how I go and if it becomes unbearable I’ll reconsider. I’ll ask the midwife whether nasal sprays or eye drops are ok as they’re normally my go to and then I double up with a tablet on the really high pollen count days. Some days I feel like scratching my eyes and throat out although tend to be ok once I can get inside and shower/wash my hair.
