Hi all. My dh and I were trying about 2 weeks ago to get pregnant. I'm really hoping it worked. I am feeling somewhat odd. Especially stomach wise. Not really pms cramps more like little twitches or achie sensations. I remember having it with my other 3. It was one of my earliest signs. Were really hoping its happened because I dont want to end up having another winter baby. I would be due very end of July or beginning of Aug. My others were born 2 in Nov and 1 in Feb.

Also want to say congrats to Ellasmum and Jessi. It seems like so many might be expecting in the near future. Meaning so many on mumsnet seem to be trying. Wish everyone the best in their future pregnancies.

Thanks Musica!
Good luck threeangels, I know that analysing of symptoms so well! I hope your instict is right. When are you due? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
My little no 2 is due either end of June or 1st July depending on if you calculate from last period or Ovulation day? Which one do the midwives pick to calculate, does anyone know?
Musica I went to see my GP at 5 weeks, just to check in, she wasn't majorly interested, but did give me some helpful leaflets and information. Some info has changed since I had ds 3 yrs ago.

Hi All...

Glad you have started the new thread!!

I am off to the doctors this afternoon - it is all very fresh in my mind as DD is only 7 months old!!!

AS I a havn't had a period since well before DD I can only guess at dates and am reckoning on mid-July. Guess my first scan will tell all.

Still having mixed feelings about the news, mainly because DD is so young and I would have liked to have left it a bit longer before having number 2. I feel a bit disloyal to her as part of me thinks that she will not get as much of my attention when she is still so little.

We are also moving house on Wednesday so that is occupying my mind at the moment.

Well, things have all changed over the weekend. I would have been jumping on this thread but have hung back after starting to bleed a bit on Saturday. I still am now. I have had a scan and bloodtests and the like but the scan showed no baby. This could be because it is still to small to see, because I have already miscarried or because it is an ectopic pregnancy. Won't know for a few days yet.

SO, I am here on this thread for now but may be bowing out soon, depending on how things go.

My due date, by the way, would be about 5th July.

I don't mean to squash the excitement of new pregnancy on this thread, please keep chatting, I just wanted to hang around in here for a bit.

hilary, hope all turns out ok. I think we all know that anything can happen in these early stages (if it is meant to be it will be) it is just nice to talk to others in the same position.

Congratulations KMS, how exciting, No 3!
Hilary, so sorry to hear your worrying news, I hope you get some good news soon. Thinking of you.

Hilary - hope all goes well for you.

I went to the GP yesterday and because I have no idea of dates etc.. she has sent me for a dating scan which I am having next Wednesday. Really excited, as I think scans are one of the best bits of pregnancy. This means I am getting one extra one so am quite pleased.

Not feeling very pregnant apart from constant nausea - last time boobs got enormous from day 1 - no sign of that this time. Maybe DD has sucked all the life from them!!!

Congratulations too KMS. Hilary, I really hope you get some good news - I'll be thinking of you.

I'm not feeling very pregnant yet either - a little bit sick, but the over-riding thing is I'm suddenly REALLY REALLY thirsty - I don't remember this with ds, but I just need to drink the whole time. And my teeth are hurting too, but I think that is a wisdom tooth moving around, rather than some bizarre pregnancy symptom!

Just found out I'm due 26 July with #2. Ds will be 2.1 then. We're so excited as this is the 1st month we've been trying. I feel a bit strange posting here so early - being officially only 4 weeks gone! I really hope to be able to stay on this thread IUCWIM. Fingers xed for everyone, esp. Hilary.

jessi · 19/11/2002 22:48

Congrats Bears!
I have got a scan in the morning as I saw my GP today as I have had period like cramps ever since I tested positive. Anyway, I'm having a scan to be sure all is OK. I am pretty certain it is as I had these cramps with ds, but am abit nervous at the same time.

How's everyone doing? I've got a horrible wisdom tooth infection, so have got antibiotics. But not feeling too sick - typically, I'm not saying 'Hurrah' but more 'I hope the baby's ok'. Does anyone else have that feeling that the little one won't make it through the nine months - without any evidence to suggest that?

Btw, I don't mean to belittle anyone who actually is having problems - this is just my own paranoia about every little thing.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Hello
I spoke to Jessi on another thread about smoking . I am due July 4th and worry a lot more than with my dd who is 4.
I'm sure the cleaner at work was staring at my stomach today(I don't remember it being so fat this early before!!) I'm trying not to say at work as being p/t and pregnant will mean I'll be overlooked for courses etc. Or am I just being paranoid ?? It's hard to remember the early changes I can't believe how emotional I am lately. Does everyone else feel like this
?? .
Hilary hope you're hanging on in there -thinking of you.

Yes, I am still here. Still bleeding a bit, still feeling fine otherwise and waiting for my next scan on Monday.

I don't know anything more apart from the fact that I climb the walls when made to rest!

Hope your pregnancies are going well though. There seem to be quite a few June/July people.

Hi everyone, glad your doing OK Hilary. Its hell waiting. I hope the scan go's well on Monday, did you get blood test results yet?
I had a scan yesterday and thankfully all is well, really relieved and I am abit further along than I thought, so due now June 27th. I agree Colette about worrying alot more 2nd time around. You'd think we would be more laid back about it but the opposite is true for me. Also bigger this time too, although I out that down to stopping smoking and my new zest for food!

Hilary, I really really hope your scan goes well on Monday - I will pray for you over the weekend! If it helps at all, a good friend of mine bled throughout the first and second trimesters, and her dd was born fit and healthy with no problems at all. So do keep positive - you sound like you're doing a great job of that anyway!

The bleeding has stopped (for now anyway) and I am trying to ring the hospital for more info on my blood test results but they are engaged SO today is a better day on the whole.

Just thought I would let you know as everyone has been so supportive.

Hi..

Havn't posted for a few days and have been feeling really awful. I can't eat anything as my throat keeps closing up whenver I go to swallow!!

Am also being sick quite often and generally feel really shi**y - not great when I have a very demanding 7 month old.

Things got so bad yesterday that my Dad had to come and pick me up and bring me back to his house for some TLC over the weekend.

Not feeling very cheery at the moment and think I am about to be sick again!!!!

I keep thinking that it means a healthy baby - who knows though, I wasn't sick with DD and she turned out great!! Maybe it is a boy this time.

This is me bowing out of the pregnancy thread as a phone call to the hospital today confirmed that I have almost certainly had an early miscarriage. I will find out for definate on Monday but my hormone levels were very very low and are dropping so that's it really.

Have been a bit weepy on and off but it is not entirely unexpected after the last week so I am doing ok.

Hope things continue to go well for you guys here.

So sorry about your news Hilary. Makes it worse 'cos of all that waiting I think.

I haven't felt sick so far (just a bit out of sorts every now & again). I wasn't sick when expecting ds but as they say 'every pregnancy's different'...
