I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

lucya66 · 20/04/2023 12:22

Heya joining from the other thread @ThomasinaLivesHere :)

due 31st December according to app. Not ideal but I don’t care, I’m just happy to be bf xx

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/04/2023 13:17

@Babydustthisyear I have a son who is nearly 2 so it’ll be our second. I’m living in different area so will need to figure out where appointments etc will be.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/04/2023 13:21

@lucya66 congrats šŸŽ‰

I feel like you. Not the best birthday but as long as baby is healthy that’s the main thing.

I’m curious what due date I’ll be given as last time we were given one about a week out from what we thought. So might be given December date. I’m also going to request a c-section as had to get emergency one last time so don’t know if that means it will be booked in earlier than due date. Might have to join December group šŸ˜‚

Babydustthisyear · 20/04/2023 14:04

@lucya66 awwww congratulations sooo exciting for us all I can't believe it! And can't believe we know so early can't wipe the smile off my face, is this ur first?

Babydustthisyear · 20/04/2023 14:06

@ThomasinaLivesHere I was going to skip this month to avoid a January birthday lol but I'm sooo glad I didn't it's meant to be x

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/04/2023 15:37

Yes I thought of skipping it too but glad it’s happened.

I tried calling up to start things going but was told I need to wait a week before I can get scans etc booked.

OP posts:
Babydustthisyear · 20/04/2023 16:16

@ThomasinaLivesHere omg it's soooooo exciting! I can't wait to get it all booked I was wondering when an appropriate time was as I haven't missed my period yet lol!

I can't wait to tell people but I am waiting, might tell my family soon not sure. No idea when to tell work or anything prob around 8-10 weeks so they know

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/04/2023 16:23

From the person I spoke to the earliest you can contact is one month after the first day of your last period but areas might do it differently.

I think I’m going to wait until the first scan to tell people then it’ll seem real. Although might have to tell work earlier. I remember last time at about week 6 I was so tired and just wanted to lie down all the time.

Exciting šŸŽ‰

Babydustthisyear · 20/04/2023 16:30

@ThomasinaLivesHere yea I might tell my work about week 8 and tell my family soon I want them to know before my work. But everyone else can wait until the scan for sure. Omg these next few weeks are going to go so slow lol.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 21/04/2023 07:00

Yes definitely going to go slow but at least each day without period is more confirmation it’s real.

Hiya ladies! Thank you so much! I’m so happy for you all too!

Im due 31st dec but heard that for your first pregnancy you might be late.

have you got any symptoms yet? I’ve just got a metallic taste today but that’s it

Babydustthisyear · 21/04/2023 18:54

@lucya66 I feel really tired today but it's the end of the week but my eyes have felt so tired. That's it for now lol I'm welcoming all the symptoms I honestly am just so relieved I'm now pregnant.

It's going to be interesting to see how big this group will get 🄰

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/04/2023 07:55

I don’t have any symptoms but my last pregnancy was like that and hopefully goes the same. I remember I got really tired and felt nauseous for a week around the 6th week and that was about it for me. I feel for those who go so long feeling horrible.

Salamander91 · 22/04/2023 13:20

Hi :) I got a faint positive this morning so all going well I'm due 3rd Jan. I had a mmc in Jan 2020 and been ttc since then so I'm really praying for a sticky baby. Not too many symptoms so far but definitely tired and a little crampy.

Mushroo · 22/04/2023 13:29

I’m on the December thread as well but I have a due date of 31 Dec so will say hello here too!

AF was due today and I’ve a few days of line progression. I’ve been feeling super thirsty and keep waking up really early. This morning felt like I had a mild hangover is the best way to describe it!

Im 31 and this will be my first. I’m hoping baby arrives in December rather than 1 Jan but will take all! Doesn’t feel real and already feel anxious.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/04/2023 15:05

@Salamander91 wow that’s so long you’ve been trying for, so happy for you!

@Mushroo I thought about joining the December group too. I was just reading up on planned c-section and it seems they schedule it sometime the week before your due date which I guess makes sense. So quite likely could have a date in December.

Babydustthisyear · 22/04/2023 15:25

Congratulations @Mushroo have seen u on past threads, delighted for you! So so exciting.

@Salamander91 amazing news for you I'm sure u feel so relieved, massive congratulations can't imagine what it's been like for you.

I have been tired but can't decide if that's pregnancy or just because Iv been busy, today I feel like a mild hangover.

Salamander91 · 22/04/2023 15:53

Thank you 😊 it's been a long time! Actually baby #4 for us but didn't have any problems conceiving the others. I'll also be having a December baby because of a c section probably at 38/9 weeks.

Congratulations to you all!

Vikki7 · 22/04/2023 16:36

Just found out I'm pregnant this morning! I'm 38, 39 next week. We've been trying since last Summer and hoping for baby #3. I've had a previous twin miscarriage in 2018 so it's pregnancy #4 due date is Jan 5th at the moment but with my last 2, I've been forwarded a few days with both so suspect that might be the case again this time. Really hoping for a super sticky baby! Congratulations all. Hope to get to know everyone better on the is journey!

Booklover88 · 22/04/2023 16:40

Hi everyone. Can’t quite believe I’m posting on one of these threads after only being on the infertility threads for so long. Have had faint positives for the last couple of days and a CB digital today 1-2 weeks so I’m tentatively joining! Had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago so feeling apprehensive but excited!

Feeling extremely lucky (and a bit anxious) as we’ve been TTC for almost two years and are currently on the waiting list for IVF. Just had our first month of fertility drugs to make me ovulate (consultant suggest we try that while waiting for IVF) and we’re pregnant! In complete shock and so so happy. Just hoping everything goes smoothly from here on in šŸ¤ž let’s hope the next few weeks are kind to us all ā¤ļø

Mushroo · 22/04/2023 17:14

@Babydustthisyear thank you! Not really sunk in yet. Congratulations to you too, it’s nice to see familiar faces coming through :)
