I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

I've just read recent posts and relieved to see some of you are mentioning spotting. I'm 13dpo and have had very faint pink when wiping on11/12dpo but it's now turned to a rust like colour today. Is that similar to what some of you are experiencing? I'm so nervous! This is my 4th pregnancy (hoping for 3rd baby) and not had this spotting before. Do any of you constantly feel a little wet too?

Mushroo · 26/04/2023 21:08

@Vikki7 mine is very light pink and only when wiping. Get the ā€˜wet’ feeling though, feel like I’m constantly in the loo to check!

Bims2019 · 27/04/2023 10:01

Hi all, hope it's ok if I tentatively join šŸ™‚

Found out yesterday that I'm pregnant for the first time after our first round of IVF. I don't really know what to do with myself and know it's very early days at the moment, but feel cautiously optimistic. NHS says due date will be 2nd Jan so we're looking at a New Year baby.

We have an early scan booked in for 3 weeks time (@Booklover88 like you said there has to be some perks to fertility treatment!) but that feels ages away right now. Just going to try and keep myself busy, any tips from those who have done this before? 😊

Wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies!

unCliche · 27/04/2023 12:04

Hey everyone! I'm also joining after undergoing IVF. This was my third transfer and I had two embryos put back. I'm due 5th Jan but if both embryos make it I'll be looking at around Dec instead. This is my second pregnancy with the first ending in a MMC so hoping for a more successful outcome this time around!

@Vikki7 I actually woke up at 6am this morning feeling soaked and thinking the worst but it was just discharge. I'm also on vaginal progesterone pessaries so they're probably contributing as well.

Hylz · 27/04/2023 12:56

Hiya šŸ‘‹šŸ»

I've also just undergone fertility treatment and tested positive yesterday at 11 days past transfer. This is our second transfer, the first one failed so hoping everything goes well this time around šŸ¤žšŸ»It's my first pregnancy and I've no idea what to expect!

My app is telling me that I'm due on Jan 1st and that I'm currently 4+3

First scan is in 3 weeks. Trying to keep my mind busy with other things so I don't obsess over symptoms!

Bims2019 · 27/04/2023 13:40

Hi @Hylz, and congratulations! I'm in the same boat after fertility treatment, first pregnancy and 3 weeks until a scan. Also trying very hard not to analyse every little thing but it's a challenge šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Have you had any symptoms so far? I've only had a bit of cramping around implantation and trouble sleeping, and tbh I think that's only because of excitement and anxiety over the last few days. Must step away from Google!

Hi again @unCliche šŸ‘‹

unCliche · 27/04/2023 14:26

Hello @Hylz! Another IVFer! A New Years Day baby would be lovely! Did you have a beta hCG blood test at all? You must have been climbing the walls waiting so long to test. I started testing at 3dp5dt (hehe no patience) with a very invisible, barely there line before getting a solid positive on my second test at 5dp5dt. I'm currently 3+6 and I have my beta test tomorrow.

I have a super busy May with my friend's Hen Do, wedding and work trip to Barcelona to keep me busy.

@Bims2019 Hehe hello again! My symptoms have pretty much been lots and lots of cramping, although things have quietened down now and also prominent veins.

Mushroo · 27/04/2023 14:26

Hi everyone! Lots of us due around the same time if all goes well! I’m 31 December.

Im jealous of your early scans but obviously the one silver lining to fertility treatment.

I feel like my symptoms have faded today which is a bit worrying but I’ll do another test over the weekend to put my mind at rest.

Hylz · 27/04/2023 14:46

@Bims2019 Congratulations to you too 🄰 Symptom wise, I can't say I've had all that much either (which worries me but I need to remember it's super early šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø). I've had a bit of cramping, tender boobs on and off and the very occasional wave of nausea that only lasts about 15 mins or so. I can't seem to sleep properly just now too but I deffo think that's anxiety related.

I'm trying to stay away from comparing myself to stuff online as I think that's when I start doubting myself and convince myself somethings wrong but you are right! It's so hard. Any tips you have are very welcome!!

@unCliche hey! That's amazing getting a positive test at 5 days! 🄹 I did have a blood test yesterday. It came back as 103. My clinic said that it was a good positive result and that they wouldn't need to repeat it, which I was surprised at if I'm honest. Good luck with your test tomorrow šŸ’•

Sounds like you've got a great month ahead of you with all your plans. We've got a few holidays planned too. Hoping they'll make the time fly by and it'll be scan time before we know it! Xx

Booklover88 · 27/04/2023 18:22

Lovely to see lots of fertility treatment sisters here! I never thought I’d be posting on one of these threads, feels so surreal. such an anxious time but I’m letting myself feel some excitement too. I figure if anything goes wrong, I’ll be heartbroken anyway whether I let myself get excited or not-might as well enjoy the moment. Keep telling myself every morning that ā€˜today I’m pregnant’ and that feels amazing.

still having some cramping and boobs feel the same as they do right before my period but keep telling myself I’m more likely to not have a miscarriage than I am to have one if that makes sense? Keeping that in mind is really helping me stay calm and not Googling every symptom either. Let’s hope the next few weeks pass smoothly for us all!

lucya66 · 27/04/2023 19:03

Aw welcome ladies and so pleased for you! I like what you said @Booklover88 about more likely to not have a miscarriage than have one. I find that quite comforting.

I’ve got my first midwife appointment in just under 3 weeks, where I’ll be 7w4d and she said she will also book my first scan.

I had some backache today. Nothing too bad but just noticeable ache. spots seem to have reduced from the weekend/start of the week.

I also got my first dye stealer test today which was thrilling tbf. I need to stop testing now. I just have one last cb digital left which I’ll take in a week with a hopefully 3+ weeks result.

so nice to feel pregnant and not have any of the nausea yet. The days seem to be flying by tbh. I’m sure it’ll come in time!

so pleased there will be some little new years babies šŸ‘¶

Blessedmummytobe · 27/04/2023 20:54

Hello šŸ’œ invited here by @Babydustthisyear i am officially late today and due around 5th of Jan I think. 38, 1st baby and trying for 3 months x

Babydustthisyear · 27/04/2023 21:04

Welcome @Blessedmummytobe šŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„°

ThomasinaLivesHere · 28/04/2023 09:31

Congrats 🄳 to all the new people joining. Especially good to see so many successes after trying for so long.

How’s everyone’s diet? I have been eating terribly. I really need to eat much healthier going forward. I’ve cut out caffeine and now I’m addicted to peppermint tea. It’s been easier than I thought to switch so that’s something.

I’ve got first scan booked for June. It’s ages away but I think I’ll try to resist going private and just be patient.

FingersCrossedXXX · 28/04/2023 10:28

Hello Everyone!

I would love to join the group. My app puts me at 4 +4 as of today with a due date of 1st January 2024! I already have one son so hoping that the baby does not arrive on Christmas day as this will be the first year my toddler understands Christmas but what will be, will be and as long as baby is healthy that is all that matters! I was a week early with my son so it could happen again.

In October last year I had an ectopic pregnancy so the NHS will kindly give me an early reassurance scan to make sure baby is in right spot this time. I have that on the 9th May so will count down the days to that and hope it sticks in the mean time.

Congratulations to everyone and good luck! I hope we all have smooth pregnancy journeys.

Hylz · 28/04/2023 11:04

@FingersCrossedXXX Hello šŸ‘‹šŸ» and congratulations! šŸ’•
My app also has me at 4+4 today with a due date of Jan 1st! How are you feeling so far? Xx

Vikki7 · 28/04/2023 14:10

Is anyone else checking their line progression? I'm so excited, I think I'm going to get my dye stealer tomorrow šŸ¤žšŸ» 4+1 today and got my 2-3 on clear blue digital this morning 🄰

Due January 2024 šŸŽ‰
Mushroo · 28/04/2023 14:15

@Vikki7 ive ordered a clear blue and hoping for 3+ next week (I’ll be five weeks tomorrow I think based on ovulation).

Once I get that I think I’ll stop. Your lines look great! Really strong

Babydustthisyear · 28/04/2023 16:52

Anyone can else seriously forgetful doing silly things lol over past few days I'm forgetting where I put things and leaving both car windows down very unlike me lol must be changing hormones I'm 4+5

Bims2019 · 28/04/2023 17:39

@Babydustthisyear not noticed any forgetfulness yet (or no more than usual lol) but have been seriously tired today. I'm only 4+2, what are we going to be like further along! šŸ˜‚ Must be the hormones

Bims2019 · 28/04/2023 17:58

@ThomasinaLivesHere I've been trying to be good with diet but have caved and am having pizza tonight šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø for me I think cutting down on sugar has been the hardest. Don't want to remove all nice things though, caffeine and alcohol is hard enough! I've also discovered peppermint tea is a good alternative.

Babydustthisyear · 28/04/2023 17:58

@Bims2019 I know šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I'm like surely this can't be baby brain already lol! I keep saying it but Il take any symptoms I'm just delighted to be on this journey 🄰

Mushroo · 28/04/2023 18:09

I’m so tired all the time! I’ve been on holiday this week and there was a distinct lack of vegetables available so hitting it hard now.

I seem to have gone off caffeine completely which is mad as I love coffee. Also slightly off meat (the thought of a steak is not appealing in the slightest!).

@Bims2019 pizza is definitely fine, you can’t be good all the time!

Peppermint tea sounds good, I might stock up on that.

Like others though, just pleased to have symptoms and be on this journey!
