@NSx yes I’m rebooked now for next weds. It’s a pain really as all of my appts seem to be on a weds which isn’t ideal with work!

DH has gone to the chippy for me bless him 🥹

EMcG3 · 19/04/2023 18:36

@Chanteuse - are you in an area with multiple hospitals? You have the right to switch your care to another hospital. Might feel like even more of a faff starting again, but be aware it is an option.

EMcG3 · 19/04/2023 18:40

@NSx - right now I'm 24th Oct but have my 12 week scan tomorrow so maybe it will change then.

Koalawhala · 19/04/2023 18:44

@ChOcto23 can totally understand that you need a definitive answer asap, it must be such a worry for you. Perhaps you would end up having a cvs anyway but I’m surprised they don’t want to wait for NIPT results as I think cvs is an invasive test that carries some risk. You of course have to do what you feel is best x

Phoenixwings1989 · 19/04/2023 18:52

@EMcG3 No you didn't miss it. I haven't had a chance to post but hospital rang at lunchtime and I have to go back in to do another blood test as there wasn't enough of the placenta in my blood to get a result. Going back tomorrow for a second attempt. Thanks for asking 🙂

EMcG3 · 19/04/2023 19:16

@Phoenixwings1989 - I am sorry it wasn't an "all clear", but good to hear it isn't bad news. I remember being told that this is pretty common; 6% or 10% or something. Best of luck tomorrow.

Midnight00 · 19/04/2023 19:23

Congrats to all the scans including @NSx @overgrowngrass @ttcttc and any others I've missed 💝
Exciting that lots are finding out sex so soon, I'll wait till 20wks but only 3 and a bit weeks

Phoenixwings1989 · 19/04/2023 19:31

@EMcG3 yes it's a pain having to go back but at least it wasn't bad news. Screening midwife said they are getting through tests quickly and that as it's my second attempt they'll prioritise it which I suppose is something.... Unless they don't get enough again and then I'll have to redo it.... Again.

Forgot to say congratulations to those who've had scans today. I'd have loved a scan today but trying to hold off as long as possible seeing as it has only been two weeks since my last private scan ❤️

NSx · 19/04/2023 20:19

@Koalawhala that’s so lovely 💕💕 mum of girls, I would like a girl, OH wants a boy so it’s 50/50 😂😂😂

@Chanteuse I had an amnio before and I was very nervous to do so, but it was absolutely fine 💓 so hopefully this gives you a bit of reassurance, as I know it can be a stressful time

@OrionNebula that’s amazing 🥹💕 I can’t wait to feel kicks ❣️
how many weeks are you?

OrionNebula · 19/04/2023 20:58

@NSx I'm 15 weeks. I was pretty sure that time but haven't felt anything that strong since. I've had a few other little flutters but wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not.

Last time I didn't feel movement until around 18 weeks.

BeaKind · 19/04/2023 21:03

@Ss32 me! 🙋‍♀️ My 2yo is also very no at the moment. And very biscuit, cake, snack etc. literally as I’m cooking dinner. Soooo stubborn too he just doesn’t give in. Also is very lazy and wants to be carried everywhere. They’re exhausting aren’t they!?

Thanks 🙂

LaylaHL2023 · 19/04/2023 21:07

My movements with my last were around 15, 16 weeks. I was skinnier than I am now so not holding out hope of an early feel this time round 😅

Ks86 · 19/04/2023 21:10

I'm 17 weeks now not felt anything this my 4th pregnancy apart from the weird tightening sensation across my tummy

NSx · 19/04/2023 21:14

@OrionNebula I have ages to go then 😂😅😅😅😅I’m so impatient 😵‍💫😂

DancingNancies · 19/04/2023 21:15

@BeaKind @Ss32 I went back to work today after the easter hols, and this is the first day I've not felt completely floored at 2pm! Turns out my 5yo and 2yo are more tiring than a room full of teenagers and work is a rest after all!

Feel slightly more confident in my decision to work as close to the end as possible now 😂

Ks86 · 19/04/2023 21:23

I hope to work as long as possible but I'm a care worker so it's slighty different for me but will see how I get on futher along I'm knackered already got 6 months to go

PrimarilyParented · 19/04/2023 22:09

@DancingNancies 😆I am also a secondary school teacher and feel the same way, the Easter break wasn’t really a rest with my 4 year old, especially as morning sickness hit me hard. My love sixth form students were a breath of fresh air in comparison.

Soda123x · 20/04/2023 05:36

Nhs dating scan yesterday. All looking good. Baby happy and bouncing around in there. Brought us 1 day forward so now due 24.10 and we're not going to find out sex.
Congratulations to all those who have had scans recently. Sorry can't keep up these threads do move very fast xx

October - into the second trimester!
JoanneV · 20/04/2023 06:09

@Soda123x I'm also 24/10. Lovely scan photo.

The last couple of mornings when i wake up around now I was convinced I was feeling baby move but not sure as its my first. Well this morning there was no mistaking it. 🙈 Such an amazing feeling!

LaylaHL2023 · 20/04/2023 07:57

Putting my form in for work tomorrow, going two weeks before due date. Means if I need to go or want to sooner Its easer.
I work in pharmacy so always on my feet.

Smiffette · 20/04/2023 08:06

I'm putting my app in a couple weeks when I meet my boss.
Taking 2 weeks A/L then Mat Leave to start in my due date. Did the same last time but DD was 5 days late! so I was glad to have started Mat Leave on the due date.

Hopefulx · 20/04/2023 08:11

Morning all! Is everyone still taking their prenatal vitamin or have they stopped now over 12 weeks? I’ve still got loads left so may as well take them until they have finished, wasn’t sure if should order more or stop when they have finished?

katherine123x · 20/04/2023 08:40

@Hopefulx I'm still taking mine and was planning to keep taking them so I'm getting all vitamins etc needed all the time
