@cruciverbalista I’ve had nothing but issue after issue and it’s really upsetting. My 12 week scan was late, couldn’t get combined screening, have yet to meet/speak to my midwife as a different midwife did my booking in. Left a message for new midwife over a week ago and no response. My 16 week appointment isn’t until 17+3! 🙄

Have booked bloods next Wednesday now. Which means another early finish from work, followed by a couple of hours out the following Wednesday for my midwife appt - I’m sure work will be thrilled with me! 😕

Sorry to be negative girls I’m just really frustrated today!

Chanteuse · 19/04/2023 15:40

On a more positive note gorgeous scan pic @NSx And congratulations on the engagement & lovely scan @overgrowngrass xx

cruciverbalista · 19/04/2023 15:42

@Chanteuse I'm so annoyed for you! I'd be feeling so neglected if I hadn't even met my main midwife yet. I feel specially protective of you as we're due date sisters, is that weird? 😂I hope you can get everything sorted asap, my hospital has a walk-in clinic for bloods which was a godsend when the midwives gave up on my deep veins right before the Easter holidays.

Chanteuse · 19/04/2023 15:57

@cruciverbalista that’s exactly how I feel tbh - neglected! No it’s not weird it’s really cute thank you 😭

monsteramunch · 19/04/2023 15:59

Oh god @Chanteuse you've been let down, I'm sorry and I would feel just as frustrated as you - so bursting into tears is a perfectly understandable response! Really hope things get on track soon when it comes to them being more organised and on the ball Flowers

Chanteuse · 19/04/2023 16:02

Thank you @monsteramunch I am just so frustrated. I’m usually a really good advocate for myself too but I was just so upset by my time being wasted again the only response left was tears! 🥴 I seem to have opened the flood gates too because I cried for way longer than necessary 🥲

NSx · 19/04/2023 16:07

@Chanteuse what bloods was it you were going for ? That’s so annoying 😵‍💫

sorry I’ve just read the thread back @overgrowngrass congratulations on the engagement ✨✨ lovely news

Jealousofchiliheeler · 19/04/2023 16:24

Congratulations on the scan and engagement @overgrowngrass! How exciting!

Lovely scan pic @NSx, my original due date was 25/10, then they moved it back to 28/10 on an early scan, have my dating scan tomorrow so will hopefully have more idea then!

Jealousofchiliheeler · 19/04/2023 16:27

On the subject of scan, I think I'm really going to struggle with having to have a relatively full bladder! Sorry this is going to be TMI but my current cough has totally wrecked what was an already not great pelvic floor. I'm going to have to really try not to cough tomorrow otherwise it could be really embarrassing! 😳

Alexandra07 · 19/04/2023 16:34

@NSx great scan! I am due 28/10!

@overgrowngrass double congratulations! That was so sweet!

@Onethingiwantfor23 as mentioned, there are still 52/53 babies born healthy. 🤞I hope you get your results back soon.

@Chanteuse I am frustrated for what is happening with your appointments! Don't feel bad for crying, I hope you feel a bit better now.

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 19/04/2023 16:36

@Chanteuse my 16 week midwife appointment isn't until I'm 18+2, it's so frustrating isn't it!

Koalawhala · 19/04/2023 16:55

Congrats on the scan and engagement @overgrowngrass! how exciting.

My due date is the 25th too @NSx!

We had our harmony results back today all low risk, and confirmed we’re having a girl 💖.

ChOcto23 · 19/04/2023 17:02

Onethingiwantfor23 · 19/04/2023 10:32

My results have come back as 1/53 chance of DS. Off for further blood tests this afternoon to determine if it's likely/unlikely it'll have DS. Didn't expect pregnancy to be so anxiety inducing 😢

I also got very similar results today, 1:60 for DS. Bloods within normal and NT test fine, so very perplexed by this result.

We had already done NIPT test privately (results due next week), but they’ve booked us in for CVS test on Friday morning.

Big hugs to you going through this too. I feel a bit lost today!

Alexandra07 · 19/04/2023 17:42

I have read that in some cases the risk will come back high only because of the age (for older mums), could that be the reason of high risk for some of you?

ttcttc · 19/04/2023 17:45

Scan today. Measuring ahead now at 13+4. Baby was kicking legs and upside down 🙃
Fluid all looked good the lady said.
I'm thinking boy 🤔

ChOcto23 · 19/04/2023 17:48

@Alexandra07 I’m 33, my risk should be around 1:400 at least I think.

Ss32 · 19/04/2023 18:03

I’m consultant led and had my first consultant appointment on the same day as my 12 week scan so surprised a lot of peoples are so late!
I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow, I’m actually 17+2 so hoping to get back on track with dates.
Is anybody else with a toddler finding it such a physical work out? My 2 year old is in such a ‘no!’ phase and keeps just randomly dropping to the floor and needing to be carried - not easy when she’s nearly 16kg 😂🥵

Onethingiwantfor23 · 19/04/2023 18:05

@ChOcto23 Awww. I get how you're feeling. I'm the same. Good luck with your results x

@Alexandra07 I'm 40 so it's possible but, the screening midwife said at my age it's a 1/119 chance.

Koalawhala · 19/04/2023 18:12

@ChOcto23 will your NIPT tests results be back before you have the cvs? I think NIPT are very accurate for downs - like 99%

Chanteuse · 19/04/2023 18:12

@NSx they’re the downs screening bloods as I couldn’t have combined testing (baby was being stubborn)
@Alexandra07 thank you lovely. I’m just overwhelmed I think as it’s my first!
@firstlittlefrazzleontheway it’s just silly - they frighten you half to death about going to all of your appointments etc and yet they’re not even when they’re supposed to be! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you ladies I’m feeling a lot calmer and less upset now - thank you for the validation & support. Really appreciate this group 💕

NSx · 19/04/2023 18:25

@Chanteuse oh that’s so annoying, did you manage to get rebooked quickly? sorry if you’ve already said, I’ve just woken up from a nap and can’t keep up with this thread 😂😃😂😅

@Koalawhala due date twins 🤞✨💓💓 congrats on your baby girl! How lovely 🥰 we won’t find out and I don’t have a clue 😂😅

@Jealousofchiliheeler I was 27/10 and then put forward to 25/10 this is my official due date they said it won’t change. You’re similar to me though, a late October 🤍 good luck for tomorrow 🤞I had a really nice experience today which is refreshing, I hope you have the same x

Koalawhala · 19/04/2023 18:29

@NSx thank you! We wanted to find out this time so we could tell our two girls 💖💖💖

ChOcto23 · 19/04/2023 18:30

@Onethingiwantfor23 same to you, fingers crossed for good news for us both.

@Koalawhala they'll be due around the same time next week, but I did tell the midwife that I’d already done private NIPT, she went to speak to consultant re: CVS and they were happy to offer CVS test despite not having NIPT results back. I did mention I am an extremely anxious person, so perhaps they’re thinking CVS is best option for me as it’s definitive?

OrionNebula · 19/04/2023 18:30

@Koalawhala congrats, we also have a girl confirmed on NIPT!

Congrats to all those with scans and fingers crossed for everyone still waiting on news or further tests 🤞

I'm pretty sure I felt some kicks earlier. I was sat hunched over at the bus stop as I was cold and felt what seemed like kicks low down, as if she was saying "move, you're squashing me" 😂

EMcG3 · 19/04/2023 18:34

@Phoenixwings1989 - sorry if I missed it, but did you manage to get in touch with the hospital? Fingers crossed it is good news or about nothing.
