Anyone have grey hair? I'm using magic retouch to cover my roots until i get to trimester 2. Cannot wait until I can dye it.

Had my scan!! All is well with a new due date of 8/10 🥰 baby wouldn’t move to get the screening done, so I get to go back in a couple of weeks and see them again 🥰

I have mine next week, it can't come quick enough... I'm 11 weeks today by LMP, or 11+5 by private scan. I'm hoping it's the later as that little bit closer to meeting baby 😊

Place marking, sorry been a bit quiet recently, busy with work and family visiting this weekend. Haven't told them yet because they produced loads of drama in my first pregnancy and I want to tell DS first, so waiting until I 100% know it's all ok!

So feeling those who also have frustrating/difficult family situations!

We've told most people now after scan put me at nearly 12 weeks, had a range of reactions from a few people saying they'd guessed, to DHs best friend who was speechless with shock 😂

@Chanteuse aw so glad yours went well ☺️ I get to go back for the screening in 2 weeks too! Cheeky that we get a little extra glimpse at the bubbas 🙊

Have you/will you tell people or wait until screening results? We’re so on the fence.

@BeaKind we’d already told a few people before the scan and we will still announce! I’m ready for people to know now and I think that’s the main thing! Xx

@Chanteuse i have told only to one friend so far, I am only 10w+3d. I heard similar comments and one even asking if it was planned when I had my first! And I was 5 years younger! I worry a bit about the negative comments behind my back. I am 41 and i am sure this will be discussed at work. Not that I care. I care more if I am left out from making decisions if my managers know I'll go on maternity leave in a few months. Not sure I can hide it after the 12/13 weeks. I am already wearing maternity clothes!

@PrimarilyParented I am sorry your parents are not supportive. There are so many stories of dads not taking care of their children after a divorce, and the ones who actually do their part are not being respected! From what I read, your little one is going to be loved so much!

@peonygirl it seems that you are at a different stage than your friends. I think you are a great friend for supporting them when their families were growing. I lost single friends when I got married and later when I had my daughter. I think I'll probably lose a couple of friends this time that really want a second child but not their husbands. You will make new friends with young children to support you. I made a lot of new friends through nct classes.

@BeaKind I'll wait the results of the screening before announcing. I have told only one friend who I would discuss with any issues with the screening tests. I wouldn't with anyone else.

@JoanneV I use a black mascara to cover some of the Greys!

Wow, thread 5 already. Seems October mummies are a very chatty bunch!
We had our 12 week scan on Friday. Was a relief to see all good in there so far.
I now have a week off but am absolutely dreading telling work when I go back. Anyone else?! I only started this job in November so feels really soon to be going off on maternity leave. I’m not getting any younger (I’m 38), I’ve experienced a missed miscarriage last year and felt like I couldn’t wait any longer to try again. My employment situation in my old job was causing me massive mental health issues so had no choice but to look for something else at that point. Just worried about what everyone will think 🙈

Marking my place at 13 weeks 3 days! I feel totally normal since my scan and wouldn’t even know I’m pregnant, just a little bit tired if anything but that’s all really!!

@monsteramunch taking it one day at a time! Hope you’re doing ok. Your scan must be soon too?

@JoanneV mine is awful if I don’t, I have super dark brown hair but a lot of greys. As in very substantial roots. I avoided it between 5 weeks and 12 but caved in on Saturday because I caught the back of it in a dressing room mirror and felt awful!

Oh my goodness this picture is incredible! So cute.

My NHS scan won't be until the end of week 13 so I've caved and booked one for Friday because I just need a bit of reassurance I think. Cant wait to see him or her again!

@Hopefulx yep, booked it there and then ☺️ It’s just over 2 weeks but feel the wait won’t be too bad now I’ve seen them.

@Chanteuse I feel ready to tell parents and close friends now too. Agree that if something happened I would have probably told them anyway so figure we might as well. And doing it over the Easter will be nice I think 😊

I find it really odd to think as a move around there’s a 3.5cm baby in there moving around 🤍

@ttcttc don't think its like super awful if you do they just say if you're being extra cautious you can wait until after 12 weeks.

@Natacat yes I'm the same dark brown/black with white roots so no hiding it. I'll be buying a dye kit on the way home from the scan next week. 😂

Gosh seeing these 12 week scan pictures are getting me so excited ❤️ I have mine on 11th and it can’t come any quicker. I’m also so excited to soon be in the 2nd trimester 🤣 Felt better today, still some nausea but more manageable and hopefully will start to feel more normal as the weeks pass. Can you believe we’re all pretty much at the point of 12 week scans now ladies!! 🥰 xx
