@DancingNancies that is really reassuring thank you so much! How are you feeling today?

Just had to go in and beg for last lesson off tomorrow so I can get said bloods! 🙄

Koalawhala · 18/04/2023 08:54

Me too @OrionNebula and @Jealousofchiliheeler, I have the worst sore throat and generally feeling awful. Kids are back at school today but I have an online course all week so having to crack on. I’ve taken paracetamol but it doesn’t seem to do much.

Hope everyone feels better soon!

Koalawhala · 18/04/2023 09:37

I called to chase my 12 week scan and now have it booked for next week when I’ll be 14 weeks. It’s borderline for whether they’ll be able to do combined test but I’ll have the harmony results back by then so should all be ok.
They don’t seem very on it for booking scan appointments in our area , my midwife said a few booking requests had just disappeared

For anyone who is consultant led, when will you have your first appointment? Midwife said mine might not be until 28 weeks which seems ages away

ForeverAndEvers · 18/04/2023 09:40

@EMcG3 thank you so much for such a lovely message. You are right and that’s definitely the way to think of it. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. Edwards was one of the things that was discussed with us, although it turned out not to be the case. Thank you again xx

Saturnsmoon · 18/04/2023 07:54

Finally got my NIPt results back after more than 4 weeks of waiting and retesting. All low risk! So very relieved and really hoping I can start to enjoy this pregnancy a bit now.

Sorry to all of you feeling rubbish with colds and the like, I also feel like I’ve had every infection and virus under the sun in the past 3 months. Really hoping it improves as the pregnancy progresses. Hopefully as the weather gets nicer there will at least be less bugs making the rounds.

Great news about your test results Flowers

OrionNebula · 18/04/2023 10:09

Just back from my private scan and all is great, baby still wriggling and got to see her little face 🥰 She said I should feel movement soon as the placenta is behind (if it's in front it takes longer to feel movement apparently). Feel ridiculously emotional and can't stop crying for some reason!

NSx · 18/04/2023 10:25

@Saturnsmoon 💕💕💕 fabulous news!

Alexandra07 · 18/04/2023 11:17

@Saturnsmoon finally! Amazing news!

@Koalawhala I have hypothyroidism, I had a 12 week appointment with an endocrinologist consultant I didn't expect. Midwife told me to book a 16 week appointment with the consultant which is an obstetrician. I guess it depends the reason you are consultant led. I think on your notes it says when you should see a consultant.

Koalawhala · 18/04/2023 11:32

Great news for you @Saturnsmoon and @OrionNebula! Good news about the placenta, my DD2 had the placenta at the front and I couldn’t feel nearly as much movement as my first

thanks @Alexandra07, I’ll check my notes. I’m consultant led due to previous pelvic fractures, and age. Just worried that the consultant referral got lost like my scan referral but my midwife is looking into it

Smiffette · 18/04/2023 11:42

I have an appointment on 11th May with consultant but hopefully I'll be discharged back to midwife led as I was last time.
They just have to check and do scan to confirm if they are satisfied that all is ok. Although this time In my notes I see that they're suggesting the appointment on 11th then another recheck at 24 weeks! Last time I just had the one.

I've got my 16 week appointment booked with my Midwife on the 4th May, I booked that directly with the GP surgery which is what she suggested.

Dorsetmamma · 18/04/2023 11:43

Hi all,
I hope all pregnancies are going well. I haven’t posted in a while as my sickness really escalated. I’m 13 weeks today and have had a few days sick free so I’m hoping this means I’m turning a corner. Is there a Facebook group now or are the threads still going? :-)

katherine123x · 18/04/2023 14:28

New scan and measurements finally taken!!
Any guesses on gender? I have no idea how that all works!

October - into the second trimester!
OrionNebula · 18/04/2023 15:16

Lovely pic @katherine123x ! 🥰

Summer022 · 18/04/2023 15:18

@katherine123x lovely pic!! I think boy 🥰

Sickness is back and really not nice, struggling to see the end of the sickness now. My sense of smell is still wild so everything smells bad 😆 13 weeks on Thursday. Just want time to hurry up now xx

Mamabear345 · 18/04/2023 17:29

16 week appointment today with the midwife and got to hears baby’s heartbeat!
Second baby and have definitely popped, my belly suddenly feels huge and nothing fits 🤦🏻‍♀️

DSP21 · 18/04/2023 17:44

12 week scan done! Measuring slightly ahead at 12+6, baby would not lie still, made for rubbish photos but amazing scan experience. Got to see it sticking it’s tongue out, waving, kicking, rolling. Absolutely amazing and so different to DD1 who didn’t move!

Feeling relief to get here and feeling very lucky that we get to do this for a second time ❤️

October - into the second trimester!
Chanteuse · 18/04/2023 17:46

@Koalawhala I have a consultant appointment when I’m about 27 weeks! But I don’t think I’ll actually stay under the consultant because it’s only my BMI.

DancingNancies · 18/04/2023 18:12

@Chanteuse much less stressed now bleeding has stopped thankfully - my main fear now is this pregnancy is shaping up to be like DS2, and I'm not sure I could cope with a second one like him! 😂

@Koalawhala I've been told I need to see a consultant (BMI/age) but I don't have an appointment yet - last pregnancy I was consultant led because of extra growth scans with DS1 and I didn't see anyone until after 20w so don't expect to this time either.

I can occasionally feel little flutters now (14+1) that are very similar to how I felt with my DS, very excited to think it'll only be a couple of weeks before I can feel them properly now!

VanillaOat · 18/04/2023 18:20

Does anybody have their gender scans coming up this week? Mine’s on Saturday and I’m so excited!

Not doing a gender reveal or anything but we’re going to get the sonographer to write it down for us, then I think my partner and I are going to take the dog on a walk and open it together somewhere pretty! Unless anyone has any other ideas of something private and special we could do?

LWestYorks · 18/04/2023 19:05

@VanillaOat Ah that’s a lovely idea!! My gender scan is next Friday and it can’t come quick enough!!!

Smiffette · 18/04/2023 19:16

My gender scan isn't until the 14th May.

Are you all using Badger notes app?

I just logged in and was shocked to see my combined test results up already! I only had bloods Friday! Happy to see all low risk.

OrionNebula · 18/04/2023 19:54

@DancingNancies interesting you are feeling flutters, I thought I could earlier with my hand on my belly but then wasn't sure if I was imagining it! Can't wait for proper movement Smile

LaylaHL2023 · 18/04/2023 20:47

Hi, been reading comments and following for weeks. Thought I would post finally.
I am 12 weeks with my 4th at 36.
Had a private scan at 7 weeks so got to see a lovely heartbeat, have my nhs scan on Monday, and will likely book the harmony test the same day as my hospital also do it privately.
The past 2 weeks I have been less tired and feel good, lucky with no sickness. Just trying to hide it for a little longer, been nice not having many people know :)
😊

monsteramunch · 18/04/2023 20:50

Congratulations @LaylaHL2023

I know what you mean, it feels extra special when it's still a secret doesn't it!

The next stage is lovely too of course but I really enjoyed that bit where we were in a little bubble too!

EMcG3 · 18/04/2023 21:44

@DancingNancies - me too on feeling what I think are the start of movements.
