Eurgh why is my 2 year old having a sleep regression she just cried her eyes out for a peppa pig toy that is lost . It was lost weeks ago at Tesco.

PurBal · 05/04/2023 06:39

@Zaalfruit thanks for the support, I never know if I’m being reasonable or not! Sorry to hear about your 2yo too, it’s bizarre the things the remember sometimes. Is it a favourite toy worth replacing?

Hlc86 · 05/04/2023 08:48

So that's me at 29 weeks, you have to excuse the rubbish photo my phone case is falling apart 😂

Another rubbish pic here. I'm at 30 weeks

AngelBlue12 · 05/04/2023 09:24

@Sausage1990 they generally only call you with results if there’s a problem so hopefully you’re GTT is clear.

@PurBal you are definitely not being ott here, your sil sounds awful xx

BobbySD345 · 05/04/2023 10:33

@Zaalfruit I am 100% buying a Nuby Rapidcool ! It's one thing that would have been super helpful first time round and when we went for a scan last week I spotted a girl with one in her backpack and she said it is a god send.

BobbySD345 · 05/04/2023 10:34

@Zaalfruit re baby bag do you mean changing bag? We had the leather pacapod black backpack for DS and its immaculate so we are using it this time round and will probably take it to Hospital for her bag too so DH can have it on his back out the way. Hope this helps x

Zaalfruit · 05/04/2023 10:41

@BobbySD345 ahh okay rapid cool will
be looking for offers if anyone see its please let me know :)

Yes I mean the changing bag - I’m loosing it with it being end of tax year - I have been swamped . Ohh I have been looking at leather bags they looks so slick and not so frumpy !

we replaced the peppa but she wants the old one - doesn’t trust the new one 😒😒😒😩

BobbySD345 · 05/04/2023 10:46

There is a "facebook5" code for £5 off Nuby website but they've sold out of the individual flask so I keep checking back to see if it's come back in stock. We said we would just buy one for now rather than the whole kit and see how we get on!

dresslol · 05/04/2023 13:32

@PurBal i don’t think you’re being at all unreasonable, I’m sorry you have to deal with such an awkward SIL, sometimes it seems when you’re pregnant that your damned if you do (some may consider you are putting your baby at risk) and damned if you don’t (some may interpret you as making a fuss by not attending). Either way someone is going to disagree with you so all you can do is decide what’s best for you and stick with it. They are your boundaries and they are important.
Hope it all works out ok.

rllrsk8 · 05/04/2023 14:27

Had a growth scan today as baby was measuring BIG! But scan showed everything was normal and within the expected percentiles so allllll good. So for anyone who is worried try not to be - chances are everything is absolutely fine. Being average never felt so good!

firsttimelondonmummy · 05/04/2023 16:59

Evening all!
I’m trying to find a travel cot that will double as a downstairs sleeping solution and keep coming across the Micralite Sleep&Go 3-in-1 Travel Cot.
Has anyone used one before and likes it or does anyone have any other recommendations?
Not fussed about price.
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Just seen the midwife, she thinks baby is head down at the moment 😍!!

C1umsyGiraffe · 05/04/2023 21:08

Got our letter through for our health visitor appointment... I'm unbelievably excited by this? Just feels like another milestone!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 05/04/2023 21:31

Had my health visitor appointment today. Lots of useful information and she told me about an app for DH called Dad Pad. It looks useful.

C1umsyGiraffe · 05/04/2023 21:35

@DrinkingAllTheGin that's good to know! Glad it went well 😊

DrinkingAllTheGin · 05/04/2023 21:45

Although she had run out of red books so that is coming through the post.

Zaalfruit · 06/04/2023 04:47

@DrinkingAllTheGin whats the healths visitor appointment about - last baby born in lock down . My house is a tip - they called me yesterday and told me they wanted to visit in the next 15 mins ! I said you can’t just turn up like that . So she’s arranged for a call over the phone for today and then we shall take it from there. ( My morning sickness is never ending and I’m struggling with it - despite being heavily medicated )

Zaalfruit · 06/04/2023 04:58

@firsttimelondonmummy Micralite Sleep&Go 3-in-1 Travel Cot looks really nice ! and the fact it has a newborn insert makes it really handy.

Wr got the Nuna Sena Aire only because I don’t want her to be right on the floor when’s she’s a little older . I am always concerned about drafts and things just me being silly and dramatic probably.

@Belami thats great news and super exciting.
Can you please tell my baby to do the same - I have been bouncing on the ball to turn her ! ( I had a Manuel turn last time - it’s the most painful thing on earth)

@rllrsk8 amazing news !! I bet you loved seeing little one again ❤️

BobbySD345 · 06/04/2023 06:47

@Belami How many weeks are you? If baby is head down now, will he/she stay that way? I was told our girl was head down a few weeks ago but she literally turns my stomach on the daily and I'm assuming she's rotating constantly.

Re the health visitor appointment, I don't remember seeing anyone before the baby arrives. Do they come to the house and at how many weeks? We haven't got anything set up for the baby yet as I'm only 30 weeks! So she can't see the cot or the crib etc 🤷‍♀️

BobbySD345 · 06/04/2023 06:57

@firsttimelondonmummy I can't help with the travel cot ideas because we have 2 of them but neither for use as a sleeping aid downstairs.
We have a Joeie one with a newborn insert that my Mum has at hers and we use for holidays and then we bought a cheap second hand one for our house but to use as a playpen upstairs to keep DS contained haha !
We used a moses basket and sleepyhead as sleep options for the lounge with DS and have bought new versions this time round. We have also bought the Hauck alpha highchair with newborn bassinet for the kitchen that she can rest or sleep in off the ground. The pram is also an option for downstairs for us as we have quite a big kitchen diner we can wheel it into if she drops off on a walk x

Belami · 06/04/2023 07:25

@BobbySD345 yeah he defo could still turn , she said up until
36 weeks (im only 30 and a half at mo) But I just got a big excited as he's been transverse every other time someone's checked so it's nice to know he's getting the idea now 😂 she said he's 1/5 engaged or something, didn't really understand but she said it's nothing to worry about, doesn't mean he's going to come early.

@Zaalfruit thank you!! Hopefully he stays put now lol. Bless you that does sound painful, did it work? What did it feel like?
I really feel for you with the morning sickness still going on, I can't imagine how hard that has been for you 😔 I felt so rotten with it in first trimester, I would take these pgp pains etc over that any day. But re health visitor don't worry about your house being messy I'm sure most people's are! They defo should give you more notice though, can't expect people just to be in.

I got a text saying health visitor was coming on a certain date between like 10-5 so that means I'll have to just wait in the house all day for them to show up 🤨 same with the midwife app they've booked for home visit. Me and my husband work full time so it's a bit annoying they just expect you to be in all day doing nothing for them to just show up whenever.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 06/04/2023 08:27

Well my health visitor appointment was at the surgery not a home visit, that must vary depending on trust. I think future ones will be post birth and a mix of home and clinics.

It was discussing mental health, feeding, vaccinations, and what the HV do post birth.

15 mins warning is rubbish, I got my appointment in the post 2 weeks in advance.

tigerlily0 · 06/04/2023 08:35

Hi ladies! Just wondering is anyone going to change to non- bio washing powder/liquid. I remember using non bio for my other 2 but now we just use the normal stuff. Bought some baby clothes I want to wash.

Iv finally bought a Doona and also a Babymel eco Robyn baby bag, I love both! Need to sort my room out now which is my dressing room/work from home room and make it into a somewhat baby room. Already have a chicco next to me which will obviously be in our bedroom.

Ally1992 · 06/04/2023 08:36

For those who were saying about their bump measuring small I had a midwife apt yesterday and she said mine was measuring small. I already had a growth scan booked this morning because I have type 1 diabetes and babies tend to grow big with diabetes, but he’s measuring on the smaller side of average still and on track to be around 7 pounds so all good! The consultant doesn’t want me to go past 39 weeks without induction so feels weird to think he will be a May baby instead of June now!
