Anyone else started having really light period cramping ? I mean not painful or anything but noticeable still. Had it on and off last few days 🤔

BobbySD345 · 26/05/2023 16:45

@Belami I've got period aches, pressure, gross discharge and I feel like down there is so swollen. How many weeks are you? Does moving our DS entire bedroom round count as nesting? Asking for a friend 😅

hanc66 · 26/05/2023 17:39

@Ally1992 @HalWin2221 ah I wasn't aware of the potential placenta complications. I'll try have a read up on this, thanks :)

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 26/05/2023 18:24

@Belami It could be Braxton Hicks. Are they regular? I thought I had them when I got period cramps but turned out to actually be labour contractions as mine were 10 minutes apart at their longest.

DD2 is 2 month old now. I'm exhausted through lack of sleep 😂

tigerlily0 · 26/05/2023 18:34

Was worried about baby movements today at 39+2 weeks. First time in the whole pregnancy iv been worried. Tried icy water, ice cream. The usual. Nothing really working.

Got an iced Capp from Tim hortons as a last resort before I call triage, and baby hasn't stopped moving for the last 45 min! Not really drinking coffee or tea in pregnancy but I had to do it.

Mistymeow · 26/05/2023 18:37

@hannahplym I had GD in my last pregnancy and this was the standard policy, although I ended up with a c section for slowed growth much earlier (plus I was on insulin). The gestational diabetes uk Facebook page is really helpful, they are the experts.

@Hlc86 sorry to hear that. My baby is still transverse so I’m getting admitted on Sunday at 37 weeks. It’s going to be hard not seeing my daughter but I’m focusing on the security of knowing I’m in the best place, and also a chance to get some much needed rest.

PurBal · 26/05/2023 21:12

I’ve been worried about reduced movements as well @tigerlily0. I had a fall this morning and have been hyper conscious of them ever since, I feel like they’re less than usual. But obviously I don’t usually spend all day watching out for them. Called the midwives and the person who answered wasn’t very nice (efficient but not compassionate). And DH and I have had a row and I don’t want to go in and see someone not nice. I’m almost an hour from the hospital so it’s a long journey and I’m tried and DH can’t take me (one too many glasses of wine, hence the row).

Hi everyone would like to introduce my new little girl Hallie 💜 born yesterday at 11am
Was booked in for 9am to be induced but had a sweep on weds at 3pm and contractions started regular from 3am got up showered managed at home for a bit got to hosp at 7:15 was 3cm was monitored for a bit moved up on to delivery suite at 9am got examined again at half 10 was 6cm had my waters broken and after 5 minutes I needed to push baby Hallie was born at 11am all very fast, beat my induction which I was so glad about the sweep worked great! Good luck to you all. This was my second and it was so fast I was due to be induced because they were worried she was going to be small but she's a perfect 6lb 3os born at 38+1 xx

@MrsP4 Congratulations! Beautiful babe and beautiful name. Sounds like you absolutely smashed it 👏 x

Ally1992 · 26/05/2023 22:44

Aww congratulations @MrsP4 she’s beautiful x

tigerlily0 · 26/05/2023 22:44

@PurBal have u tried the usual cold icy water, fizzy juice, icecream, laying on ur side? I think some days baby can be quieter and also I remember with my other 2 babies the older and bigger they got, the less movements there were. But still need to keep an eye on them. 1 hour away from the hospital isn't convenient at all! Hope baby moves for you soon

tigerlily0 · 26/05/2023 22:48

@MrsP4 congratulations! And well done. She's beautiful!

HasHus86 · 26/05/2023 22:54

@MrsP4 Congratulations! She’s absolutely gorgeous! I hope you and baby are doing well ♥️♥️

Dewintergarden · 26/05/2023 23:26

@MrsP4 congratulations such a beautiful photo of you and baby!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 27/05/2023 00:02

Awww congrats @MrsP4 looks beautiful.

Fredthespider · 27/05/2023 06:26

Congratulations @MrsP4 thats wonderful and so pleased you managed to avoid too much intervention 😊 x

Hlc86 · 27/05/2023 08:12

Congratulations @MrsP4 beautiful photo and so glad everything went well 😍

@Mistymeow did they say when you would have a c section? 38 or 39 weeks? I'm so hoping baby turns

Belami · 27/05/2023 08:59

@BellaTheDarkOverlord @BobbySD345 no not regular and not painful. No stomach tightening which is weird as I feel like I had loads of that in second trimester and start of third trimester (which I thought were braxton hicks) but I haven't lately 🤷‍♀️
I've got a really high bump but I think it may have dropped slightly.

@BobbySD345 what kind of discharge? Like mucusy? Yeah defo extreme nesting mode unlocked 😂

@BellaTheDarkOverlord awww I can't believe she's two months already, does she feed a lot in the night? One of my friends had a premie and said she needed way more regular feeding than her older child who was full term.

@MrsP4 congratulations she's beautiful!! Hope you're both doing well 💕

Babybaby66 · 27/05/2023 10:24

Congratulations @MrsP4 !! Absolutely adorable and a beautiful name (it’s on my shortlist too!!). Enjoy the newborn cuddles and good luck with recovery. I’m glad you beat your induction!

C1umsyGiraffe · 27/05/2023 10:38

Congratulations @MrsP4 !! What a beautiful photo and I'm glad you are both doing well!

I'm 36+2 but I don't think I've ever had a braxton hicks? I've had the odd period cramp like pain but no tightening so, not nesting at all either so I don't think this baby is coming anytime soon 😂

AngelBlue12 · 27/05/2023 18:48

Congratulations @MrsP4 she is gorgeous ❤️

BobbySD345 · 27/05/2023 19:07

@C1umsyGiraffe I didn't have any with DS until about 4 - 5 days before he was born and they just got more and more intense and turned into contractions once my waters had gone. This time I've had them for weeks but they are definitely becoming more intense than when they started at about 24 weeks , I think probably more because there is less room in there so it just feels mega tight and lots of pressure.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 27/05/2023 20:19

We decided to risk our weekend away. 37+5 and I am trying hard not to do too much on this break. However as the sober one I did find myself being one of the first up so cooked breakfast for 21 this morning! However the bbq this evening was a bit more shared.
I have now escaped everyone for a bit of a lay down. Might even have a bath. Seeing as I can't use the hot tub.

PurBal · 27/05/2023 20:52

@DrinkingAllTheGin 21?! I don’t think I’d be that kind when not pregnant. We’ve just got back from a wedding and got very swollen ankles.

@MrsP4 congratulations, she’s beautiful.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord 2 months?! Already?! I can’t believe it. How is she?

@C1umsyGiraffe i didn’t have any in my first pregnancy. But been relentless this time around.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 27/05/2023 20:58

I cant help myself @PurBal . I've organised this break for all my friends now we are here I hoped to hand over all responsibilities but they keep asking what they can eat at which meal. I booked the house we are in, collected the payments and planned the menu and did the online shop.
I've even booked the pub for Sunday lunch tomorrow.
But I'm done now !
