I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

@HayleyD93 i completely understand, no meter what I try i am cold😂

@HannahLouD i had 3 in one year, i believe it is not that rare, I think after you will be more fertile… it was with me like that

KIWI2023 · 29/03/2023 09:04

@HannahLouD If there is only 24 hours between tests, you shouldn't really compare as HCG doesn't always increase that fast at this stage so you may not be able to see clear progression yet. Even if you did last time, no two pregnancies are exactly the same. I had no progression from 9-10DPO but then had progression 14DPO & 16DPO.
I would personally (as hard as it is) step away from the tests and test again in 48 hours. Fingers crossed for you x

Hi all, quick question (I think in my heart I already know the answer)...
I had a chemical last month where my tests just stopped progressing and then I started bleeding at 5 weeks.
I tested positive again yesterday at 10dpo with smu... Tested again today with fmu and the test is slightly lighter than yesterday. Last month I had clear progression from 10dpo-11dpo so I'm assuming I'm having another chemical... I'm tempting to test again later this morning to compare both with smu but I'm pretty sure I know what's happening 😞💔
I'm 28, partner is 34... I really didn't expect this to happen twice in a row...

So sorry, I had the same last month and was devastated. Decided that this month I'd test every other day instead so it was easier to compare (got my DH to hide my tests). Try to hold off testing for a couple of days, I know it's hard. Thinking of you and hoping for the best x

Hi HannahLouD

My smu is always darker than fmu. I would try first response, they're better to see progression imo.

chloe3103 · 29/03/2023 12:44

I responded to the wrong message haha!
I’m due December 1st

Aprilsunnyday · 29/03/2023 13:55

@HannahLouD, like the ladies say here, no need to think it's chemical.
Hcg progression takes time and only doubles every 48 or even 72 hours.
Depending on when you took both it can be completely normal to have one day darker than the next. Take care and best of luck!! X

Aprilsunnyday · 29/03/2023 13:59

@BButtons86
Having symptoms is good! (I suppose? 😆)

I had problems sleeping, vivid dreams like you do, and a small belly twinge/cramp. My body temperature is also a bit elevated than before, otherwise nothing else yet!! Maybe just because I am only 4 weeks.
I ll report back 😊

acotar · 29/03/2023 16:29

4+4 today and for a week now I've been feeling unbelievably exhausted!! I had the fatigue before I knew I was pregnant. Last night I went to sleep lovely, then needed a wee at 1.30am (I usually sleep through) and then awake at 3.10am and could not drop off. I've also been having cramps (like an upset tummy). All of these I had with my 2 children in early pregnancy and the insomnia. I forgot how knackering this stage is 😴 I got my booking appointment confirmed and that's 24th April. I'm thinking our 12 week scans will be around 15th may onwards? 💛

BBBakedBean · 29/03/2023 17:08

Im finding the insomnia relentless at the moment. I think I only got a few hours sleep last night ! Still managing to function somehow !

how are people doing with booking appointments ? I had to make a self referral I’m my area but have had no contact about anything yet.

s14a · 29/03/2023 17:09

I'm absolutely exhausted today. Can barely keep my eyes open.

It's great you've got your booking sorted already @acotar

I'm going to get the midwife sorted after my scan on the 11th all being well.

My trust don't do 12 week scans until more like 13 weeks so I'm anticipating mine to be on or around the 26th May.
I'm also expecting it to be later because of all the bank holidays in May so there will be 3 days of missed appts to slot in somewhere!

OP posts:
Lottie3665 · 29/03/2023 17:56

@s14a oh thats a really good point about the bank holidays, I hadn't thought of that! I think I'll be 12 weeks at about 19th May but sounds likely I might be a bit later too then.

@BBBakedBean I made a self referral and got a booking appointment (for April 13th) sent to me 5 days later. I'm in London. When did you send in your self referral?

KIWI2023 · 29/03/2023 18:04

Hi ladies! My booking appointment was self referral too, I called them gave my details and got a text with the appointment the next day. My appointment is 25th April (will be 9+1).

I've been having some pretty strong cramps but also have IBS-C and had to stop some of my meds as they shouldn't be taken with pregnancy but christ I feel like I'm living with CD1 period pains every day. GP is a nightmare and suggested I take Buscopan today which should be avoided in pregnancy so just requested a referral back to gastro again. Wish we could access a midwife now as I would really appreciate their input on what meds I should or shouldn't take.

Hope you've all had a fab day, nearly the weekend now lovelies😴

Lottie3665 · 29/03/2023 18:34

@KIWI2023 oh that sounds miserable, I hope you're doing ok. Do you live near an Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU)? I only discovered them because someone else on another thread told me about them. For most of them you can self refer if you're having lots of pain and need to speak to someone soon.
https://www.lewishamandgreenwich.nhs.uk/early-pregnancy-assessment-unit/ this is my local but there seem to be lots around London, possibly some further afield?

Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU)

The Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) is for patients in the early stages of pregnancy up to 16 weeks who are encountering problems.

Lottie3665 · 29/03/2023 18:35

@KIWI2023 also the Ovia pregnancy app has a checker to see what medications you can and can't take

TashaG876 · 29/03/2023 18:37

@BBBakedBean I haven't heard about my booking appointment either yet and I did my self referral a week ago now.

I'm so impatient to hear when it will be because I feel having something to count down to will help with how anxious I am feeling about everything. I'm hoping I won't have to wait too much longer as I'm 6 weeks today.

Hope you also hear soon x

Frozendaquiri · 29/03/2023 18:47

I haven't heard back from my GP yet @BBBakedBean but I only filled in the midwife form on Monday and was told that she would call me to arrange an appointment.

BBBakedBean · 29/03/2023 18:56

@Lottie3665 thanks for your update , I self referred last Friday, I’ll wait till the end of the week and email for an update if I don’t hear anything.

BBBakedBean · 29/03/2023 18:59

@KIWI2023 @Frozendaquiri @TashaG876 thanks for your updates , I am the same with being anxious Tash. Currently treating each week as a milestone. But so hard not knowing what’s going on inside.

Frozendaquiri · 29/03/2023 19:21

@BBBakedBean I feel exactly the same, I've got an early scan booked in in 3 weeks time so at least I've got that to countdown to at the minute.

BBBakedBean · 29/03/2023 19:27

@Frozendaquiri I have booked too for 22nd. I should be 8 weeks by then all being well.

EmW102 · 29/03/2023 19:46

Hi all, hope it’s okay for me to tentatively join. Congrats all on the BPFs!!
Only 13dpo but got a pretty strong positive at 11dpo, so should be due around 7th Dec 🤞Not too many symptoms so far, had a headache yesterday but could be unrelated, and boobs have started hurting today.

Ive got a 19 month old already and although we’d talked about ttc again, we hadn’t properly started trying yet, so it’s caught me by surprise a bit. I was tracking bbt to try to understand my cycles again and took a test when the temps didn’t come back down as normal pre-af. We’re delighted anyway, and December is a great month for a bday!

I find these first few weeks the most stressful hoping it’s all okay in there. I’ve already booked an early scan for 24th April when I’ll be 7 weeks so counting down to that!

Look forward to following along with everyone’s pregnancies. I was in a similar group with my first which was invaluable and the fb group is still fairly active.

s14a · 30/03/2023 08:06

Hi @EmW102 welcome

I need to stop peeing on sticks. I have done a test every day since I found out and they are all clearly getting 'more positive' which means absolutely nothing. I don't have a dye stealer yet but I'm 4+6 and know they take forever.

I'm using the one step Internet cheapies. I haven't bothered doing a frer or a digital because I know they will be positive too and I have nothing for comparison.

I'm wondering about getting a frer for a dye stealer but again... what would be the point and would it really stop me peeing on a stick!

I don't want a digital with dates either because it caused me so much anxiety with my mmc. It didn't switch from 2-3 until 3+ until I was 5+4 rather than 5 exactly so I convinced myself it was ending, it didn't, saw a heart beat, got excited then at the next scan there was no fh so at that point there was absolutely no point in worrying.

I'm finding pregnancy after loss really difficult.

KIWI2023 · 30/03/2023 08:12

@Lottie3665 thank you so much for the advice. My local EPU (I'm in Northamptonshire) doesn't take anyone without a doctors or midwives referral unfortunately.

@s14a I'm so sorry this is difficult for you, I wish there was something we could do to make it easier but other than an induced coma to sleep through this first bit, I don't think anything would help. Just know we are here for you and we see you. If you need to keep peeing on sticks, you do that. Just don't stress if there is any variation in lines 💐 xx

Frozendaquiri · 30/03/2023 08:19

@s14a I've been doing exactly the same! Today is the first day I've managed to stop myself from testing and strangely I already feel better and less obsessive. 20 days until my early scan, not that I'm counting down the days or anything😂

BBBakedBean · 30/03/2023 08:21

@s14a sending lots of positive energy and love to you. I’m exactly 4 weeks + 6 days today too 💜
