I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

Hi All

I am 4 weeks + 4 days due December 1st. This will be my first, feels very surreal. I’m 33 and this was first attempt and got extremely lucky. My symptoms are mild cramping and getting really hot at night !

in two minds about booking an early private scan for reassurance.

autumn94xxxx · 28/03/2023 14:55

Glad im not the only one! I’m thinking of trying not to say anything till atleast 12 weeks but me and my sisters are so close and see each other all the time so not sure how long i can keep it from them especially if i randomly start puking 😬

Frozendaquiri · 28/03/2023 16:09

@autumn94xxxx I'm hoping to wait until 12 weeks too! Will see if I can manage not to tell my best friend before then but I know if DH knows I've told someone he will want to tell everyone lol

acotar · 28/03/2023 17:14

I've told my sister - she's my best friend! I've told my Manager at work because pregnancy related illnesses can't be discriminated against.

We'll tell our family before 12 weeks. I'll be showing before then (with my second I looked pregnant from bloating at 8 weeks so it'll be too hard to hide!

You girls do what's right for you! The people who don't matter to me will probably ask if we tried for a boy as we have 2 amazing girls. Can't wait to tell them no we just enjoy having sex, to see their faces 🤣

motheroreily · 28/03/2023 17:35

Hello. I got a positive yesterday. I'm 4 weeks 3 days and feeling happy but a bit nervous I think I'm stopping myself from feeling excited
I'm 41 and I have an 11 year old.

That's hilarious!
We have one of each so I think our parents probably thought we would stop. They were really surprised when they asked if our miscarriaged baby was a surprise and we said no we've been trying for 18 months 🤣

I've also told my manager too just in case anything happens. She knows that if I call to say I'm not going in, she's happy that we have an understanding and we can discuss it at a later point.

My bloating is bad already probably because its baby #3 and I'm on progesterone which increases it too. I was similar with my son, never really lost the bloating just stayed the same size until I ballooned after 16 weeks!

Omg I’m due the same day!!

KIWI2023 · 28/03/2023 18:17

@BBBakedBean oh my christ the heat at night!! I am a cold person through and through, currently curled up with a blanket & hot water bottle) but at night now? the heat radiating from me and sorry if it's TMI- night sweats? Horrific and unexpected 😂

BBBakedBean · 28/03/2023 18:23

@KIWI2023 ah it’s a relief to know that I’m not the only one with night sweats and heat radiating off me ! I told my DH that I may just sleep in the spare room tonight so I can open the window and have a fan if needed !

KIWI2023 · 28/03/2023 18:25

Definitely not just you! I've been sleeping on top of the duvet😂😂 great idea with the fan though! Will have to get DH to grab ours from the garage! it is definitely not a nice side effect, I feel so gross every morning now😂

BBBakedBean · 28/03/2023 18:40

@chloe3103 which date ? 😊

How is everyone feeling today?

5weeks/ 5+1 today🤍 I don't have major nausea or vomiting yet (counting my lucky stars) but definitely feeling it a tad in my throat and have food aversions to everything. Like the thought of putting food in my mouth and eating it is horrific 😂 I'm such a foodie usually so this is the oddest thing ever!

I'm also 5+1 today, I have absolutely no symptoms except bloating. Could easily forget I'm pregnant.

TTCJJB · 28/03/2023 19:51

Lottie3665 · 28/03/2023 14:26

@autumn94xxxx why are you feeling hesitant?
I'm seeing my closest family when I'm 6 weeks so I think I might tell them then as it's my first and I'm excited. Everyone else I'm going to wait and see how bad my symptoms are. I'm considering having an early scan at 8/9 weeks and I might tell work after that as I'm a teacher and we spend May planning the next year.
Is anyone else thinking of telling people soon or are you being more patient?

Hello,
I'm also a teacher, we have also started planning the next year but I'm sooo reluctant to tell work this early even though I know it would benefit them in the long run to be prepared. Just don't know what to do for the best.

Frozendaquiri · 28/03/2023 20:10

@TTCJJB don't feel pressured to tell them before you're ready, there is a lot of time before the end of this school year so even if you wait until 12 weeks you won't be letting them know at the last minute x

TTCJJB · 28/03/2023 20:28

@Frozendaquiri Yes, you're absolutely right. Whilst I have no first hand experience of loss I watched my sister go through a stillbirth at 36 weeks, followed by two miscarriages and I'm not sure I could cope with having to share that sort of news with my leadership team.

I was speaking to my partner about feeling conflicted at not telling work, I even had the assistant head talking me through the plan for my classes next academic year earlier today. My partner quite rightly said it's their problem and not yours and that in employing large numbers of young(ish) women they'll hardly be surprised.

fruitandfibreg · 28/03/2023 20:51

@Milkand2sugarsplease we do too we started it from this when we were all a few weeks! We have a WhatsApp too and have done meet ups when we can! Mumsnet is such a lovely community sometimes 🥰

Sorry will hop off your thread now but so very excited for you all!

Buttons86 · 28/03/2023 21:15

Hi everyone

Tentatively joining and due 1 December at the minute. We have been trying for nearly 2 years and were having some treatment (not IVF). I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks in January so feeling pretty anxious this time but also so hopeful- it’s a weird feeling. I plan to go for a scan at 8 weeks, I’ve told my mum but I think this time will probably keep it quiet to after 12 week scan at earliest.

Aprilsunnyday · 29/03/2023 06:54

@Buttons86 Welcome to the group and tentative congratulations for the tentative success/ making it so far, it's tough journey on ivf! I was about to start this year.
Do you experience any symptoms?
Wishing us all the best from here. x

@KIWI2023,
I was feeling really tired yesterday, not sure if it was early pregnancy or the fact I worked 10 hours. 😅
Sleeping a bit better these couple days, thankfully! 4. 5 hours was not sustainable!

Landsmen · 29/03/2023 07:15

Has anyone else experience diarrhoea, I have had it for over 24 hours no sign of a stomach bug and nobody else in the family effected ( 2 toddlers so would have thought they would bring it home from nursery)

Congratulations to the newbies!
I haven't had any symptoms like that but I don't think it's unusual.

Fingers crossed it settles.

I can tell you all I am verrrry cold all the time, and feeling there is sometnihg in my belly😊

ObsidianDeck · 29/03/2023 08:06

@Landsmen I also had an episode of diarrhoea, which next day turned into constipation. In my previous pregnancy I regularly had it - seems that my body does this instead of making me throw up.

Buttons86 · 29/03/2023 08:06

Thanks @Aprilsunnyday . I have had the odd wave of nausea, some very vivid dreams, I feel bloated and been tired in the evenings (struggling without the caffeine maybe!). How about you?

HayleyD93 · 29/03/2023 08:07

@kispanda I am always cold at the moment, just can't seem to get warm no matter what I try

HannahLouD · 29/03/2023 08:47

Hi all, quick question (I think in my heart I already know the answer)...
I had a chemical last month where my tests just stopped progressing and then I started bleeding at 5 weeks.
I tested positive again yesterday at 10dpo with smu... Tested again today with fmu and the test is slightly lighter than yesterday. Last month I had clear progression from 10dpo-11dpo so I'm assuming I'm having another chemical... I'm tempting to test again later this morning to compare both with smu but I'm pretty sure I know what's happening 😞💔
I'm 28, partner is 34... I really didn't expect this to happen twice in a row...

Due December 2023
