Hi all, hope you are all well🥰

I have just found out that I am pregnant again after a loss in December at 5+2 (very early!). I’m only 4 weeks going by last period so it really is so early again. I am so happy but also know i’m going to struggle with the waiting. I know I just have to play the waiting game and hope for the best. Anyone been in similar position with positive outcome? Really hope this is our time🤞🌈

Still waiting for nausea to kick in here too. I keep thinking I have it, but I think most of my symptoms currently are from anxiety!

I have had a couple of episodes of diarrhoea though @38andtrying and cramping on and off. Hopefully all par for the course.

@calipoppy
I don't really know where to start with the scan tbh, so overall they saw 2 sacs 😱😱 one with a definite yolk sac inside and the other with possibly a yolk sac. I wasn't really pleased with the sonographer, hardly spoke to us and just made me and my partner feel really awkward. All that was said one seems too low and one seems to high, I asked some questions and she just said "I don't know". Her assistant then jumped in and said this is what we call a Uncertain Pregnancy Viability, if you have any pain or bleeding call us. We left scared and upset.

Yesterday, I had very light bleeding only when I wiped, so I called them panicking. Spoke to someone who didn't scan me but had my pictures and report in front of her and she said nothing seems unusual with the scan I can see, the sacs are where they're supposed to be and there's nothing negative on your report. She said your measuring 5 weeks, and seeing a gestational sac and yolk sac is completely normal for this stage. She said we're rescanning on you on next week to just check if they're growing as they should but at the moment, everything seems normal. She said the bleeding sounds like implantation bleeding, and to go in if it gets heavier. It didn't, it's completely stopped.

So it's just a waiting game now until our next scan. Sorry for the essay guys x

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 07:31

@Charliexo was the scan internal? I’ve seen a few people get a bit of spotting from that also! Xx

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 08:21

@Charliexo if it was internal it was probably the probe that caused the bleed as the cervix has more blood to it now due to the pregnancy. The sonographer and assistant sound like absolute 🔔🔚s to me, sorry they made you feel that way.

As for how I'm feeling...anxious, been having brown spotting since Saturday only when I wipe but that's how it all started last time. I've got slightly tender nipples and I've been a bit crampy but nothing else, although I am only 4 weeks today but found out 6 days ago do expected something by now.

Charliexo · 07/03/2023 09:14

@ChloeN @Sb86 hi ladies, yes it was an internal scan. You're both probably right, well I hope so anyway, I only had very little pinkish/red blood then on and off brown but only when I wipe.

@Sb86 yes, they wasn't great tbh, the lovely lady I spoke to yesterday seemed really shocked that I wasn't told what is normal at this stage or what to expect at my next scan.

I understand I'm early and they're not going to know much but they know I had my D&C towards the end of January so know it's impossible for me to be more than 6 weeks so wasn't going to see much anyway.

I had a major haemorrhage with my last miscarriage because of complications and ended up in resus so when the lady said one was too low, I googled as you do and cervical pregnancy came up which can cause major haemorrhaging and result in a hysterectomy. Of course I panicked and that's why I was in such a panic and the lady yesterday reassured me about 3 times that they were in the right place.

I've just got everything crossed I have a different sonographer and assistant next week 🤞🏻

When are you having a scan @Sb86 xx

calipoppy · 07/03/2023 09:28

@Charliexo what a rollercoaster, it sounds like the first sonographer was so insensitive! I'm sorry you had to go through that. Does that mean if all goes well you could potentially be having twins?

I really hope everything goes smoother at your next scan, glad you only have a week to wait. If the bleeding has stopped it definitely sounds likely to be related to the scan 🤞🤞

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 09:30

@Charliexo I'd request different ones if possible, after what you've been through especially you need to be reassured and be given the correct information. I'm so glad that lady was able to give you some reassurance.

I've spoken to Epu this morning and someone is ringing me back about progesterone but I'm only 4 weeks so too soon for a scan. I'll ask about when I can have an early scan as they said I'd be offered one should I become pregnant again. I had one at nearly 6 weeks last time x

calipoppy · 07/03/2023 09:41

Good luck @Sb86 I have had a nightmare trying to get progesterone but I have a scan with EPU tomorrow at 5+4 and hoping they'll at least do a blood test to see if I need it. In the meantime I'm taking 50mg of vitamin b6 a day as I've read it helps progesterone production 🤞

Charliexo · 07/03/2023 09:44

@calipoppy yeah, if all goes well, we're going to be having twins 🙈🙈 not actually sure how we're going to cope lol but that's a worry for another day 😂 xx

@Sb86 i will definitely request different. To be a sonographer on the EPU especially, definitely needs the right person.
I hope all goes well for you 💖 xx

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 09:58

Thanks @calipoppy and @Charliexo 🥰

It's ridiculous that they don't just give it out when it can help so much, there's studies on it and I've read about it on Tommy's which I'm going to tell them about. I'll attach the info below, on there it says upto 16 weeks and doesn't mention a minimum starting week.

@Charliexo bet that was a shock wasn't it, sorry got so caught up in your frustration due to the sonographers. Congratulations 🎊 x

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 12:22

@calipoppy good luck for your scan tomorrow, hope it all goes well☺️

@Charliexo I really think it will be from the scan, it seems way too much of a coincidence if not, especially if it hasn’t progressed!

@Sb86 the whole progesterone thing is so unfair, surely there is no harm giving you it especially if there’s bleeding!

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 13:19

Got my scan booked for 23rd of March, which no doubt will drag but it's in the diary at least. Also spoke to them about progesterone again and she's going to speak to the consultant if they will allow me to have it up to the scan. In the meantime I'm trying to ring my docs to see if they will prescribe it just in case. 🤞🏼 I just want to be able to go to the toilet and not have to see spotting everytime I go...it's so unnerving.

You're so right @ChloeN very unfair, how they can play god pretty much and decide who is able to get it even if spotting is the same.

Charliexo · 07/03/2023 13:22

@calipoppy I hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow 🥰

@Sb86 omg, it was a massive shock! 😂 and thank you!! 😘

@ChloeN I hope so! Thank you for saying because I don't know anyone else personally who has had an internal scan, so don't know many stories about people's experiences with them.

And thank you to everyone else, can't say how much I've appreciated having you all to talk to on this chat 🥰🥰

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 14:48

@Charliexo I found it quite painful so no wonder some people bleed! My sister in law bled after hers and I think she phoned either the scan place or the epu and they said it was totally normal!xx

@Sb86 I follow a lady on tiktok who had 2 mcs from low progesterone and they still put off giving it to her! I just don’t see why they do it! She bought herself progesterone cream in the end to try and help until they pescribed it!

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 15:08

I've looked at progesterone cream @ChloeN but need to look into it more I think as it's a mixed bag of reviews. What did she think about the cream? I'm taking the highest dose of vitamin b6 and eating a varied diet that covers everything the pregnant body needs. I'm drinking fresh orange, had 100% Pomegranate juice delivered today. I'm taking folate rather than folic acid and I'm taking a higher does of vitamin d. I've been drinking decaf tea and coffee since September, having flax seeds, chia seeds and sunflower seeds on my morning porridge. Basically I'm giving it my very best, I just pray with everything I've got that it pays off 🙏🏼

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 15:13

@Sb86 She raved about it, it really seemed to boost her levels because they were so low! I’ll try find the link to the video xx

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 15:16

@Sb86 Ive messaged you the link☺️☺️

calipoppy · 07/03/2023 18:57

I've got pink discharge 😞 trying to stay positive but I just feel like I know how this goes. At least I have the scan already booked tomorrow I guess although they're not likely to be able to tell me much conclusively so early are they. I just feel so low!

Sb86 · 07/03/2023 18:59

How many weeks are you? I'm praying it's all OK for you and hopefully the scan can offer you some reassurance tomorrow 🙏🏼 ❤️

Charliexo · 07/03/2023 19:04

@calipoppy I had pink discharge with my first pregnancy that went absolutely fine. I really do understand how hard it is when someone says try not to worry, it feels impossible to do so but please try and not panic. Everything could still be absolutely fine, at least you have your scan tomorrow so it's not long before they can put your mind at ease. Xx

All the best, I'll be thinking of you xxx

calipoppy · 07/03/2023 19:38

Thank you both, I'm only 5+4. Hopefully you're right @Charliexo , I'll let you know. I just know I need progesterone but it's so frustrating nobody will give me it

ChloeN · 07/03/2023 19:47

@calipoppy so sorry lovely that must be so stressful 😢 I’ve not really heard people say pink discharge indicated a loss though, I’ve had pink implantation bleeding before!

Charliexo · 08/03/2023 09:21

@calipoppy Good Luck today, thinking of you. I hope everything is ok with your little one 💖🙏🏻x

Sb86 · 08/03/2023 09:38

Yes will be thinking of you @calipoppy ❤️

calipoppy · 08/03/2023 15:49

Thanks so much, it really is so nice to have your support in this group ❤️

The scan was a bit inconclusive, they could only see a gestational sac but they said at this point it doesn't mean anything as I think I'm 5+4 but could easily be even 5 weeks based on when we dtd. So I'm going back next Wednesday and if they see a yolk sac then they will get the consultant to speak to me about progesterone. So basically just have a long week ahead!

How's everyone else doing?
