Hi all, hope you are all well🥰

I have just found out that I am pregnant again after a loss in December at 5+2 (very early!). I’m only 4 weeks going by last period so it really is so early again. I am so happy but also know i’m going to struggle with the waiting. I know I just have to play the waiting game and hope for the best. Anyone been in similar position with positive outcome? Really hope this is our time🤞🌈

Oh @Charliexo this has been such a lovely update today. You must be so relieved, I am so so happy for you!!! ❤️❤️

@Sb86 I’m got a chest infection at the minute so can’t tell what’s pregnancy related or what’s bug related but overall feeling 😂😂😂 I’m sure once the infection shifts I’ll feel more normal. Glad you’re not feeling too rough xx

Sb86 · 13/03/2023 19:26

@TTCX2 oh no hope you feel better soon. I've just this evening started to feel like nausea could be on its way, but I might have just been hungry 😆 just had a well done steak...usually have them medium rare but it was really nice so getting my iron and protein in and a proper meal before I just want to fill my face with crap 🤣

TTCX2 · 13/03/2023 19:41

@Sb86 I’ve had a bit of that, when I’m hungry I feel nauseas, what an excuse to eat 🫣🫣. Oh a steak sounds yummy! How mNy weeks are you now? Sorry if you’ve already said this recently. My brain can’t always process all the information on the thread!

ChloeN · 13/03/2023 19:43

@Sb86 I normally go for medium rare too but I feel like well done is better than nothing 🤣

Sb86 · 13/03/2023 19:45

Haha don't worry about it @TTCX2 I'm the same 🤣 I'm 4+4 so 5 on Thursday.

Charliexo · 13/03/2023 19:48

@ChloeN @calipoppy thank you so much both!! 🥰🥰 xx

@Sb86 they were the same, we found them so rude and I'm glad we haven't got to see them again tbh, but because the scan had a much better outcome today, I could ignore them more if you know what I mean. X

@TTCX2
Thank you so much! 🥰 yeah, we are so relieved 🥰 now it's to find tips on how to survive with newborn twins! 🙈😂 X

Sb86 · 13/03/2023 19:52

@Charliexo it's unbelievable that people can be like that anyway but in that profession it's actually disgusting!! I'm glad you don't have to see them again too. I know I've said it but I really am so excited for you ❤️🌈❤️🌈

Cegbee · 14/03/2023 16:09

I've been looking at everyone's updates. I'm 6+2 today and mainly feeling very tired but occasional nausea. I'm mostly consumed with anxiety about my scan next week. We've had to tell my MIL as she's visiting from UK (we live in Canada) and I'm even more anxious now that we'll have to give her bad news next week. I just have no trust in my body or my eggs anymore. Not sure what I'm trying to achieve posting this but feels good to get it out!

38andtrying · 14/03/2023 16:15

@Cegbee i am just 5w+2, i am feeling slightly off kilter but not too much, very tired and bloated, i am eaten up with worry and anxiety, i have booked an early scan for next saturday when I will be 6w+6. I am so convinced it will just be bad news again, i am so anxious. i have been waking up generally around 4.30 every morning and straight away worrying about ectopic, blighted ovum, missed miscarriage etc i was fairly relaxed during my first pregnancy which resulted in the miscarriage, the problem now is that i know too much, i think more can go right than wrong and its eating me up.

I am 38 and i feel really pressured time wise, i have no children and i am so desperate to have a family. Hoping we get our rainbow babies !

I think i am more afraid of the dark place a miscarriage brings you to, i am just literally out the other side from a very dark place after my missed miscarriage in December and I am so afraid of going back there, it is so debilitating.

TTCX2 · 14/03/2023 16:15

Hi @Cegbee I’m 6+3 and with a scan next week too, so in a very similar position to you! Totally understand how you’re feeling. I’m feeling a bit numb to it all just now (feel bad about that) but almost can’t connect to it yet until I know everything’s well. When is your scan? Xx

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 16:54

@Cegbee it's only natural to feel like this, I think we all have good reason to don't we...but this is a new pregnancy, a different pregnancy. I know it's easier said than done to try not think about it because let's face it it's all we think about isn't it. Also if you feel better for getting it out them vent away, we are here to listen and hopefully we can offer support to one another 🥰

@38andtrying sending love, try not to worry too much ❤️

@TTCX2 I know what you mean about not connecting it's like you don't dare allow yourself out of fear. But we need to try and get past that because it's going to hurt if anything happens (god forbid). I also think if we don't allow ourselves it could have a detrimental affect on things further down the line. Sending you all love ❤️

Cegbee · 15/03/2023 06:50

Thanks all, it helps to know other people are feeling the same even though it's crappy.

My scan is next Thursday the 23rd.

I'm 39 and had a MMC last year at 38, it's taken a whole year to conceive again.

I keep telling myself that whether I'm anxious or not it won't change the outcome to I might as well try and be positive - I'll keep trying!

Charliexo · 15/03/2023 07:11

@Cegbee @38andtrying welcome ladies! Congratulations on your pregnancies! I really hope all goes well for you. We're all here to try and give support 💖
@Cegbee your username looks so familiar, were you part of a trying to conceive post last year?

@calipoppy All the best today, I'm thinking of you 💖

Sb86 · 15/03/2023 07:38

My scan is the 23rd too @Cegbee it's hard to not feel anxious but really we might aswell try and be positive because otherwise we just feel worse.

Hope your scan goes well today @calipoppy 😊

calipoppy · 15/03/2023 08:21

Thanks so much @Charliexo and @Sb86 it just means so much to have your support on here! I’m feeling cautiously optimistic as I’m definitely starting to get more nauseous and haven’t had any more spotting 🤞 it’s at 11 so I’ll let you know how I get on.

how’s everyone else doing symptoms wise? I’ve never been more desperate to throw up in my life!

Charliexo · 15/03/2023 08:29

@calipoppy that's good that your spotting has stopped. Not long to go now 🥰 really hope you give us a lovely update later ❤️

Symptom wise for me... not a lot at all, boobs are a little sore only when I touch them and I feel a little bloated, that's all. When I found out it was twins, I thought I would feel absolutely awful with sickness and tiredness but nothing, not that I want to feel awful but it does make me think that maybe the lady was right and that the one who is measuring a lot smaller may not continue. I'm not due another scan now until 12 weeks but I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow so I'll have a chat with her about any concerns xx

ChloeN · 15/03/2023 08:37

Good luck with all your scans coming up ladies, and good luck this morning @calipoppy ☺️💕

@Charliexo did she say one was weeks behind the other or is there only a couple of days between them? Xxx

Charliexo · 15/03/2023 08:46

@ChloeN one is a week behind, you could clearly see on the screen the size difference too.

I mean they both had heart beats but the bigger one was clear and fast but the smaller one, you could see it but it wasn't anywhere near as big as the other one. She said you can see the heart beat on the smaller one, and when she showed us the screen you could see the little flicker but didn't look as clear or fast as the other one. That's why she said you could have potentially got pregnant at different times or the smaller one may not continue. I would have thought they would scan me again but they're not until 12 weeks, so we will see then if the smaller one has continued xx

ChloeN · 15/03/2023 08:51

@Charliexo Yeah you’d think they’d rescan just in case, especially if you were likely to lose the smaller one you would at least be more prepared rather than have weeks of the unknown! A lady on the due date group had the same thing and she did lose the smaller one but the other baby is doing really well xxx

Sb86 · 15/03/2023 08:53

@calipoppy my boobs feel slightly heavier and my nipples are still really tender, they change though sometimes they feel really heavy and look really veiny then go back down. I'm still having slight spotting when I wipe but I've not rang epu again, I'll just wait until next Thursday unless it gets worse.

@Charliexo still early days...sickness could kick in anytime. You're still not bound to get sickness even though it's twins 😊

calipoppy · 15/03/2023 15:50

so my scan went ok, the sac has doubled in size since last week and there’s a yolk sac there now, so definite progress however they dated me at 5 weeks which is impossible as I would have had to test positive on the day I ovulated. I got progesterone though and have another scan in 10 days so I’m just trying to think now I have progesterone there’s nothing more I can do but keep everything crossed x

Sb86 · 15/03/2023 16:07

@calipoppy that's great news that it's progressing and they've given you progesterone. Did they do a blood test before they prescribed it or just do it after they saw a viable pregnancy?

How many weeks did you think you were? X

Charliexo · 15/03/2023 16:27

@calipoppy I'm so glad these have progressed 🤗
Did they say you were measuring exactly 5 weeks or 5+ so many days? Because I remember you saying last week that you thought you were 5+4 but could have easily been 5 weeks, so if they've said your 5+ so many days today, your may only be out by a couple of days.

Like you say you're doing everything you can, I'll keep everything crossed that your next scan you see more progression xxx

calipoppy · 15/03/2023 16:49

@Sb86 they didn't do a blood test, just confirmed I had had previous losses and spotting and then gave me 2 weeks supply and wrote a letter to the GP to ask them to prescribe me the rest. Fingers crossed it will be the same for you!

@charliexo yes you're right, by LMP I should be 6+4 and she just said 5 weeks but I guess she easily could have meant somewhere from 5-6 weeks, so it feels very far out but maybe it could be all ok. Hopefully next week will pass quickly for me and we'll see progression again, it's out of my hands now.

Charliexo · 16/03/2023 09:26

Morning everyone!

I'm really sorry in advance for the TMI and personal question but has anyone been experiencing bleeding after sex? It happened to me for the first time last night.

I know I had some spotting last week that I was told was normal but the bleeding I experienced last night and still have this morning is different. It's bright red, there's not a lot of it but I've had a couple of really tiny clots as well.

I haven't called the EPU as I have my first midwife appointment at 11 so will talk to her then but I'm just going out my mind xx
