@Infinitebows really sorry for your loss Flowers

Chanteuse · 17/02/2023 13:27

@Infinitebows km so sorry to hear that. Sending hugs 💕

I salute those of you who have other babies/children to look after! I’ve tidied the house today and put a wash on and it has exhausted me 😂 dreading being back in work next week!

Hankthehonk · 17/02/2023 13:32

@Saturnsmoon I realised I was pregnant because my boobs hurt too much to run! I usually run (outside or on treadmill) 3/4 times a week but can't physically can't as it's agony with my boobs. Did park run last Saturday and somehow managed it but that was my last run, I'm sad and a bit worried about losing fitness too but I know pregnancy isn't a time to start new things.
I'll start pregnancy yoga at 12 weeks (it's not recommended before then) and I'd love to swim as well but it's a faff as we're not very close to a pool. Plus I am so exhausted working full time and having a toddler, in reality I don't think exercise is on the cards!

hipposinacircle · 17/02/2023 13:37

Tentatively joining in too. I got my BFP at the beginning of the week but I'm cautious after a CP and ectopic last year. Really hoping this is the one though! EDD c.24th October.

I'll have to have an early pregnancy scan because of the previous ectopic. Is anyone else in the same boat? I'll call the EPU on Monday when I'm home from holiday but I'm afraid of being scanned too early and not being able to see anything because I ovulated a bit later in my cycle. So on Monday I'll be 5 weeks based on LMP but more like 4+3 based on ovulation.

@Infinitebows im so sorry 😞💕 please take care of yourself xx x

@IaminRome this link is very reassuring, I use it a lot: datayze.com/miscarriage-chart?mode=table

fleur89 · 17/02/2023 13:54

@Saturnsmoon I'm a big fitness fanatic, I'm still doing 2-3 strength classes, 2 cycling classes, and 2 yoga classes each week. I used to do HIIT on top of that but I focus only on low impact now I'm pregnant. I followed this same routine throughout my first pregnancy. On the day I gave birth I did a 2 hour hike and a yoga class. My recovery last time was amazing, I was back to my pre pregnancy weight within 2 weeks. Zero stretch marks, zero loose skin. I know a lot of that is genetics but I'm convinced working out regularly sped up my recovery.

MeganC104 · 17/02/2023 14:07

On exercise, wth my son I did weight exercises regularly but gave up before 20 weeks cause I was struggling. I haven't done any strength training since then (I consider picking up my toddler my new strength training 💪). I do yoga daily so will continue and do hour long dog walks daily too. I think that will be fine.

Oh is that accurate? If so that's quite reassuring! Wonder how they work out their data

AlongcameLainey · 17/02/2023 14:35

Ahh thank you @katherine123x.

they have just called with hcg result and it is above where we expected it to be. We expected 2700ish going by previous results and it is currently at 3638 so they have booked me back in on Wednesday for another scan as they don’t want to leave me too long just in case it is an ectopic x

Hopefulx · 17/02/2023 14:40

@Infinitebows so sorry for your loss ❤️ sending you a cuddle and lots of love xx

fleur89 · 17/02/2023 14:45

@IaminRome I believe so, the medical sources as cited at the bottom of the page 👍

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 15:00

@AlongcameLainey well that sounds promising!! 🤞🏻

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 15:17

@HM1990 I don’t know whether it frer at the moment, I haven’t had any line progression with them, still fairly faint. Tried a CB and there was a definite darker line. Frer are usually good but they caused me a lot of stress this time

PeacefulD · 17/02/2023 15:34

@Twoinapod same here 😭 and now spotting a bit. Do you mind sharing your line progression? We have to remain positive, it may go either way though for me with spotting

cruciverbalista · 17/02/2023 15:38

@Infinitebows thinking of you Flowers

EMcG3 · 17/02/2023 15:55

@Infinitebows - I am so sorry to read this. Childbearing is so very fraught. I really wish you the best and a sticky bean next time.

Summer022 · 17/02/2023 16:08

@Infinitebows So so sorry lovely. Thinking of you xxx

AlongcameLainey · 17/02/2023 17:03

So sorry @Infinitebows x

PrimarilyParented · 17/02/2023 17:06

@fleur89 I’m glad you’re able to keep up the exercise and I’m sure it helps but I think a lot is also genetics. I went to pregnancy yoga and went to aqua aerobics once a week for the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, but nothing much else and I weighed less after giving birth than I had when I got pregnant. Also don’t have stretch marks and recovered easily from an emergency section. But I had youth on my side (age 29) and genetics probably helped as I’d never gotten stretch marks, even in my teens. I’m hoping to be able to at least do yoga this time round but I’m currently exhausted after a day at work (teacher and easily do more than 10,000 steps a day in my job so am not totally inactive at least).

iloveeggs · 17/02/2023 17:07

so my HCG levels doubled which is great news but I still have to go for a scan to rule out an ectopic. Keep the fingers crossed.

Needtobuildabridge · 17/02/2023 17:08

@Chanteuse I really feel you. Half term had been delightful. No idea how I'm going to cope going back next week 😬

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 17:10

@PeacefulD I only took two and was expecting a much better line at 14dpo. But it’s almost the same. Did a cb one and had a nice line and also got a 1-2 weeks on a cb digital so feel more relaxed now.

MeganC104 · 17/02/2023 17:43

Out of those who already have kids, did anyone have a c sec for their last baby and unsure about what they might do this time?

PeacefulD · 17/02/2023 17:54

@Twoinapod I've got everything crossed for us. Both frer and clearblue causing anxiety for me, but I'll try tomorrow again, unless I spot more. Do you have any symptoms? X
